- Prehistoric Birds Size Comparison - this video presents the largest extinct birds as well as some smaller representatives such as penguins, and small walking birds. Not all of the birds are prehistoric - some of them became extinct in more recent past.

Diatryma is no longer the currently used name for that bird. It's now more frequently referred to as Gastornis.

Did you know that gastornis and brontornis aren't terror birds they are called waterfowls cause they don't have a hooked beak at the end

Bro Pelagornis is larger than it by its height.Plus argentavis is only big because of its weight while pelagornis is the biggest by its wingspan

Did you know? That dromornis isn’t a terror bird, in fact they are dromornithidae and their are a few species of dromornis the one in this video is dromornis stirtoni the largest dromornis species of all!♥️💙❤️🦆🦢and they are related to ducks and swans!🥰😊

As far as I know Vorombe Titan is the biggest species of elephant birds and this is the one in the video.

There are plenty sources pointing out that Vorombe Titan is the biggest Elephant bird.
@@gvart from what I understand there were 2 species of elephant birds, one lived in the forests and was black, the other lived in desert areas and was brown, the black one "aepyornis" became extinct in 952 AD, the brown one "vorombe" became extinct it became extinct in 300 AD
@@neva_ita3320 The info I found is similar to what you are saying and it is mentioned that Aepyornis maximus and Vorombe Titan, both refer to the same species - the biggest bird ever lived. The only difference is that actually, the Elephant Birds are 3 species - Aepyornis Hildebrandti, Aepyornis Maximus (belonging to the Aepyornis Genus), and Mullerornis Modestus with the last one belonging to the Mullerornis Genus. But all three are part of the Aepyornithiformes Order.
