Oh my goodness being admitted to hospital for chickenpox is ridiculous…….I am absolutely stunned for the silly an unnecessary visits to hospitals…..Chickenpox can be treated at home, just isolate you and your children for few days until spots have scabbed over… admission to hospital would be necessary if other symptoms were present…..
I don't know definitely worse to get them as an adult, I didn't know that I had them, refuse to go to the hospital, because of cost, finally went to the doctor, I was told it was chickenpox which I had as a kid, doctor said if you just get mild cases you can still get it again, just glad I had someone at home to help me for that terrible week.

Chicken pox in an adult can be very serious, even going as far as causing permanent lung damage... So yes, admitted to the hospital for chicken pox.
