Oh my gosh! I love it! I am a control freak when it comes to my craftwork/play. I have had this software for about 8 months. I had ideas for projects, but wasn’t impressed with the realistic preview (I mostly used auto punch- no kidding, right?) I never bothered to sew them out because I knew it would be a fail. I also have a hard time sticking to simple.. You are showing me the tools I need to dive in. I know I will have fails to begin with, but now the number will be decreased. Thank you.
+OleensEmbroidery Thank you once again Miss Kathleen for a very informative video. I was stumped at how the fur effect was created. I, too, would love to see more on the stitch creator as I have no idea how it even works! Boy oh boy there's just too much to learn about embroidery! Thank you for all of your help! :-)
Hi Oleen, no, it was not in the least boring. It was interesting to see the progression, especially when you know your way around the program and understand each of the steps. I particularly liked the poodle hair, but it was the cat fur that I wanted to do which I did with feathered satin stitch. It was a 10 year old's drawing that her grandma ( my good friend) wanted me to digitise.
@@margaretrose2167 Sounds like you are having fun with this software. Feel free to ask questions or send PES file for analyzing to "kathleen@oleens.com. Or, join my favorite Facebook group facebook.com/groups/168014830030121/ They can always answer questions I never heard of.
These tutorials are wonderful. I don't have an animal to 'enstitcherize' but I am embarking on other graphics. If you add more, I'm interested in more lessons using the stitch creator. Along those lines, I was wondering if in doing the cat fur, if there might be opportunity to create a fur stamp and plug it in a few times for the middle section, and then manually embellish the perimeter with hand drawn lines. Also, do you work with Brother at all in giving seminars around the country? Would love to attend one but I am on the West Coast. Thanks.
Hi Roni I actually have thought of using the stitch creator for that. It worked for the poodle fur. Thank you for your comments. I love the stitch creator feature. It is the best I know of. I will try and come up with a better tutorial on it in the future, but first, I don't believe I have covered the "Overlap" and "Hole Sewing" feature. Wish I did work for Brother as I have used many software products but always come back to PE Design. You need to ask your dealership to try and get Cindy Hogan to your area. She does work for brother and is an EXCELLENT instructor.
great tutorial thank you. I do have a question. When you explained the horse at the beginning you used the line region tool to create underlay, do you eventually remove the overlap when creating the horses hair on the neck and jaw line, or sew over the underlay?
Thank you. I did not remove the slight overlap, I did sew over it. I kind of cleaned it up by putting the solid black manual punch satin stitch (no fringe) over both layers of fringe on neck of horse.
The video is older, but I would have loved to see it embroidered, so how it comes out of the machine and looks. Nevertheless, you made a lot of great videos and I learned a lot. Hope there will be more? Thank you for yours Share videos with us. Happy Christmas from Germany and a happy new year.
Thank you and a merry Christmas to you as well. I have not been able to make any new content as the computer I was using with the screen capture software died. I will be replacing it this year as I need it to run my new updated web site on it as well. I am going to finally pay a professional to re-design my web site so I can sell all of my original designs than I have been collecting over 20 years. Hopefully it will be completed by this spring. A lot of the designs in the tutorials will be for sale. Thank you for your words of encouragement.
OleensEmbroidery Thank you. Sorry mein English is bad but I only read later in the other comments that they are older and no longer make new videos. Of course I understand that. I want to learn PE because I have a dog, in blue and it is still very much It's hard to digitize his fur. You can see my dog in my last video. I would be happy if I could also buy designs from them. I am looking forward to seeing you on their website again soon or look here on TH-cam hope you can get it back with your computer. I watch your videos several times a day, but especially with the animals. I will do it, otherwise I will send you an email and hope you can help me and I will pay for it please have a look at my video where my dog is watching and then you can tell me if that would be feasible? That would be great.
Miss +OleensEmbroidery what is the link to your website? I found oleens.com but it says it's offline. Do you have any tutorials on how best to digitizae HUMAN hair? I am having some trouble with exactly how to start. Also, do you take digitizing requests? Thanks!
Hi Wanda, I am afraid that my web site has been down for about a week now. I am in the process of trying to hire someone to get it back up. However, my email still works. Send your questions and attachments to "kathleen@oleens.com" I would love to take a look at the project you are working on. I will also give you a quote for what I would charge to digitize it.
hi oleens embroidery I have only just had my design 10 and I have been trying for hours lesson 34 you have with animals fur and feathers I am longing to learn this as I am inv0led with a lot of dogs and would love to learn how to do this it looks great can you help I am having problems seeing the keys youy are using and it is making very blured and also I need to learn more about yhe controls on this program I have looked on my manual but it does not say much about when you do it it look great I am so keen to learn thank you
Hi Angie, On every TH-cam video you will see on the bottom right corner a little gear. That is your "settings" button. Under "quality" make sure it is set at 1080p. Usually it will be set on "auto" but sometimes you have to manually set it to the highest resolution 1080p. All of my videos have been recorded in 1080p and should be as clear as the software itself.
forgot to say to you before did you try and send me a video as I had one come thougth on my email but there was a problem and it did not get thouh and it said it had come from youtube
No, I did not send the video. That is odd. I am getting up there in age so it is unlikely I will be putting out many more videos. I am hopeful that the 73 videos I have released are enough to impart the knowledge needed. Even though they may not relate to fur, you need to watch all of them as I explain many tips and tricks in each of them that will help you understand the concepts of professional embroidery digitizing.
SORRY TO BE A PAIN AGAIN BUT I HAVE A SMALL PROBLEM I HAVE DONE SOME PHOTO EMBRODERY ONLY TO GET SOME SMALL GAPS IN THE STITCHES WERE THE COLOURED MATERIAL SHOWS THOUGH AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAS CAUSED IT THE MACHINE I USE IS A V 3 AND THE PROBGRAME IS PE DESIGN 10

You should try sewing out some of your "fails". I was always amazed at how much better they looked than I thought. Thanks for watching.

+Wanda Barefoot It took me 20 years to master, but my son is better than me and it only took him two years. Some people just catch on faster.
Thank you. Just the information I need today.
This was one of my longer (more boring) videos, but if is packed with tricks and tips. Glad you were able to stick with it.

Amazing tutorial, I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you!
I just wish you offer a lower fee for seniors.
Thanks for this video Kathleen! Kim S

I don't know anything about your machine but check with the Face Book group I had suggested earlier.
