      Thanx man... Love me some Bullet too... All the songs in there were actually written and recorded by a buddy of mine... you should check out some of the song I wrote earlier this year and let me know what you think... Thanx for watching...

    You should consider adding a short border on your table trolley top, so that whatever is on it won't slide off.

    Hey Macon, I do bikes and metal but slowly getting into wood. Just got myself a similar saw set up..... Fence is rubbish, frame rubbish, table rubbish .... Good news is that the saw is good. You've inspired me to have a go at this project man and thanks for that. Love the presentation, music and the way you explain what's going on in the vid. Great stuff brother, sub'd.

    Your offspring has a future in advertising with that spiel at the end of the vid. A bit of experience in talkovers won't hurt either...by the way, good work with the table saw cabinet.

    Great vid man. I appreciate you sharing your experience with us and glad i found this because i too want to start woodworking as a hobby but from ground up - I have nothing but a few tools lol
    Also i wanted to see a little bit more of the saw table at the end. Even then, looking forward to your next vid 👌

      MDF is a bad material to use in almost all cases because it isn`t a very stable material. It`s very absorbent and will warp over time, the dust is harmful to humans and animals and it flakes off when damaged. Substitute three quarter inch plywood for the MDF and all the problems go away. MDF sucks moister from the air and the edges quickly start to swell and where you cut holes for bolt heads you will notice that the bolt heads will start to weaken the material and stop being efficient at tightening the fence.

    enjoying you video. im also from South Africa Northern cape. finding t- tracks and other accessories like the American and European is hard here in SA and pricey

      Thanx... Yeah its a real headache... doing dust collection in the shop now, cant find half the parts I need... made some awesome blast gates on the laser cutter... you can check it out and download on Thingiverse... I'd add a link, but my PC at work wont open thingiverse... :-( ... just search for my profile.. gonna be sharing a lot more of my designs there...

    I have never seen that plunge technique before mate, that's awesome. That will come in very handy I'm sure. Sounds like a Durban or Cape town aven't there?

    just a thought. that base is a lekka sturdy frame. maybe u could turn it into a router table...?

    • @maconSTUFF
      @maconSTUFF  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually planning a new "wider" base... this one i built is a bit narrow, so if you put too much weight on either side it wants to tip over..

    really nice video series man, I'm from South Africa and could relate to a lot of the problems you had, like finding t-track and dealing with that crappy fence on that table saw. I have the same table saw and i need to do all these same upgrades as well. I really like your videos, I can see you're heavily inspired by some of the big woodworking channels like april wilkerson, jimmy diresta and jay bates etc. My videos are more inspired by Laura Kampf and Giaco Whatever. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to more videos. I hit that subscribe button and the bell as well.

      Thanx for watching and subscribing... I think Namibia sucks harder LOL... I cant even get decent plywood here...
      Checked out your channel, I like the style of your videos... Subscribed!... you got some nice projects there..
      Stay tuned, I still have a couple more upgrades planned for that table saw, as well as some other "hopefully" interesting projects...
      I'll be keeping an eye out for your next video...

    Awesome build dude !!! Lekker easy projekte. Jy kan T track by extrusion world in Windhoek kry. Hulle verkoop dit as floor track. Ek het dit by hulle in die kaap gekry. R150 vir n lengte van 6.6 meter. 🤘🤘🤘😁

      This is Africa, Africa got no place for sissies. Here we walk the whole day barefoot thru thorn country in the blazing sun in only shorts. I have been working barefoot with my father in the garage from the age of 7. 40 years down the line and never had a foot injury as result of being barefoot.

    Hate to be "that guy" but MDF dust is very dangerous! Please get a paper dust mask at the least. We want to to stay healthy enough to keep posting great videos like this series.

    Hi ek het dieselfde saag ,mooi man. Maar, as jy die deur oop maak dan gaan die saagsels uit val. Maak 'n kas in jou kas wat die saagsels opvang en jy kan uithaal en leeg maak .

    I'm sorry. I tried to watch this, but man oh man...WTF are you doing? You used the jig saw and circular saw to cut the panels for your base. What the he!! do you think the table saw is for?! Then you used the little hack saw to finish off the cuts on the top cut out. What do you think the jig saw is used for! I stopped it there, sorry, but I couldn't take it anymore!

    • @maconSTUFF
      @maconSTUFF  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ek beide jou videos oor die tafel saag gekyk. Ek het die selfde saag en gebruik hom al vir die laaste 8 jaar. Smeer eerder die tafelblad met Cobra poletoer. Hier is 'n skakel na waar jy T-tracks kan bestel. www.banggood.com/buy/t-track-alumin.html
