    This video is soooort of a continuation of my 8 imported philodendrons I'm growing outside a greenhouse which you can watch here: • 8 imported philodendro...
    If you've been on this channel for awhile you know that I've been struggling with acclimatizing my entire anthurium collection out of greenhouses and it has definitely been a journey, but even though most of them look a little rough around the edges lately, I still have faith it'll be worth it! If anyone is in the same boat, hang in there 🥲

      @unplantparenthood activities like these are great to help overactive minds, you could even teach people through a paid course on how to make the plant you know you could never achieve to grow lol

      I’m surprised that I was able to focus through this entire activity given how bad my ADHD has been lately. Definitely need to make more time to do things like this more often!

    If I ever see someone complaining about how long your videos are, I’m gonna scream ice creammmmm 😒😝
    One of my fav content creators recently made a video literally less than 10 minutes! The SHOCK i felt when it was over I couldn’t believe it, i just hit play a few short minutes prior 😳
    AND I’m a mum now and love long endless videos! So thanks Char 😌🫢

    Thank you for this video Charmaine... I don't have any Anthurium at all but you give me the courage to order one from Lauren in the spring and grow it in my own room air conditions. We don't have the space in our small slang apartment for an exo, greenhouse cabinet or grow tent. Your videos and Alice's give me goals to strive for...I adore how knowledgeable you are in regard to what to look for in a healthy plant and how to keep your plants looking their best 👌
    Much love from Eastern Ontario ❤️

      Great buy!! They grow much faster in a greenhouse, but I prefer to enjoy them outside! 💛

    What is your ambient humidity? Do you substitute with a humidifier?

    • @unplantparenthood
      @unplantparenthood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my ambient humidity fluctuates anywhere between 30% (if my heater is on) to 45% at most! i used to use a humidifier, but i didn't use it regularly so I just stopped using them altogether.

    I love all of your videos first of all. I have been growing for over 30 years and I still find value in your videos. One thing though on this video , I don't understand why the sun going down has reason for you to talk fast and race through this video and quite honestly I got anxiety watching the video, which was a first. I normally love that you take your time. Just a kind side note if you don't have time, could you make more time bc people such as myself do find the time to watch you. Anyway, love you and your videos.

    For someone doing the “bare minimum” you sure do have some beautiful anthuriums.

    I have a dark phoenix coming in a few days and now I’m not sure whether to do pon or chunky aroid mix 🙈 do you think that having the plant sit lower in the vessel like that helps the leaves come out more smoothly? Thinking if there is trapped humidity between the surface of the pon to the edge of the vessel? does that make sense? 😂

    Hey, Confused at 15:24 you say your glad to have a long leaf Philo, but said Anthurium twice before? So I’m not sure which plant is? Thanks 💚 pS love the sweater 😍

      @unplantparenthood  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sherry! I filmed my 8 philos outside of the greenhouse before I filmed this so I kept messing up and saying philo instead of anthurium (I edited out so many bloopers/mistakes in this video) but all of these plants are anthuriums!

    I'm not that much into anthurium, I'm not really captivated by most of what's out there, including the hybrids that imo look a bit too similar to each other to be remarkable, and I also find that they're more prone to cosmetic damage than philodendrons, but some of the anthuriums you've got really made me fall in love with them a bit. It's a good thing though because that means that I wouldn't be adding any more to my wishlist. I would like to get a clarinervium, a red crystallinum, a forgetti x lux cross, and an sp morona one day when I'm confident enough with my plant parenting, especially when I'm not even fully confident with taking care of philodendrons. Some of them though (like your king of spades) leave me breathless for 5 seconds just looking at it.
    I was actually watching your tps 2 month update video before this because I wanted to know more about mycorrihizal inoculants and its benefits. I've been looking for a product that would boost my plants' chances of survival and it seems like myco is the answer to it, because most of my problems with keeping plants alive come down to the condition of its roots, like transplant shock and preventing rooted propogations from rotting. I might even need to use it on my tortum if I do get sold on it, since it is looking quite rough.
    I have some questions though. Is there a chance that myco can end up hurting the plant? It is a fungi after all, and though it is known to be beneficial I'm worried that they might end up causing fungal issues in plants. Second, does myco attract other organisms into the soil? I'm not too bothered by organisms in soil but it would be unideal if it starts attracting some bugs that will predate on it. Lastly, is there any benefit to applying myco in the moss pole once the plant has rooted into it? I would imagine there is, but at the same time you've never shown yourself doing that. Excuse the long af comment btw, love all the nuggets of information you have, I don't really hear about these things from other channels
