CCR music and Fogerty's voice and lyrics got me through 4 years in the Marines. I played the shit out of every song they made. Still can jam them today and sing along. It's unfortunate they didn't keep making music.
In my opinion, John Fogerty was one of the great rock artists of his generation. Even without CCR, he was a performer of exceptional ability: great composer, great singer, great guitarist. When I saw him in concert, his music sounded as good as the recordings. PROUD MARY and FORTUNATE SON are undeniable classics, but when he sang UP AROUND THE BEND, the crowd went wild.
Love these songs, such great memories for me and such great music love it all, thank you John & you still sound just as great as this today 2-21-20 God Bless you & your band always
John was writing out a path for him & his band mates the guys he had with him all we’re part of that recipe for success . So he new who he needed to help fuel the success of “ CCR “. They did pull it off, & in the end we all got to hear The work of a great writer & poet, in the form of a GREAT ROCK & ROLL BAND !!! “ Great to see the Longevity of such a Powerful sound !!!

We both like Beatles. They were probably the greatest band. Lennon/ McCartney met as young teenagers, had abilities: shared/ pushed/ learned from each other/ had much time to create / scale new heights. I'm saying; Fogerty did it without partnership. Would McCartney have suceeded without Lennon? and vice versa. Give Fogerty kudos for what he accomplished. U don't like CCR..cool you're entitled to your opinion. Lots of others think otherwise.

CCR'S in the rock hall of fame. And without his taking the reigns all on his own, the band would probably never been ever known, because beforehand they were only a cover band without any motivation to be a chart topping band. Y aunque lo bloquearon musicalmente 10 años mantuvo su ideal de seguir cantando y componiendo . Y ahi está a sus 75 años actuando con sus hijos. Y a través de muchas décadas ha compartido escenarios con distintos músicos. Y siempre es John Fogerty el común denominador, el que dirige la orquesta. AL final lo que me queda es que los otros chicos de CCR Tom, Stu y Doug no serían reconocidos actualmente sin John. No hicieron casi nada fuera de CCR.
