@Love My Doggy Yes Fluoride can help ONLY using it topically on the teeth, just don't over do it. The main way Fluoride is effective is it's highly toxic to bacteria that damage teeth with acids. It also works by donating electrons, BUT getting excessive fluoride in your blood deactivates enzymes involved in bone synthesis. I am getting LANAP done tomorrow, December 17, 2020. I have hardly any plaque, but the gum disease is deep where I can't brush. It has progressed to where some of the charting numbers are now sevens, even though I brush several times a day and floss every day. I haven't missed a day of brushing or flossing for years. I have sensitivity which I thought was because of cavities, but on x-ray, there are none. You can really see the bone loss on the x-rays, up to 70% bone loss in some areas. I also have a gap between my front teeth which is getting wider. Originally, I was going to get root planing, but backed out of that because I didn't want to go through the pain and long process of many visits to treat different areas. I can let you viewers know how LANAP went if you are interested.
@@lidyakebede4377 LANAP yesterday took 2 1/2 hours: Measurements, lots of freezing, laser, scraping and laser again. After the freezing wore off, there was quite a lot of throbbing pain, so I took pain medication. I took a total of 3 pills but slept well. Today, there is no pain, just tenderness. My gums look like Dracula's, but that's normal. I have to be on a liquid diet for three days, followed by a mushy diet for three days and then a soft diet to allow the gums to heal. I have to take antibiotics for 10 days and use Peridex mouthwash twice a day. I have to go back to get my mouth guards which will stabilize the teeth as they heal.
@@nealjones84 The total cost was $4144.00 CAD. That is $789.00 for each quadrant and the rest is for the upper and lower mouth guards and lab fees. My previous estimate for root planing with another dentist who does not do LANAP was going to be $837.00, but that was just the start. It sounded like a painful and drawn-out process. I pay for a benefits plan, so periodontal services are covered. Today, I am allowed to eat mushy food. By Christmas, I will be able to eat soft foods, but that doesn't really matter because it is going to be a COVID Christmas, not a proper Christmas.
Medicare will use any excuse to not pay. When I was to have dental surgery on a very bad and complicated tooth, the dentist told me Medicare would only pay for stitching up the hole left behind after all was done. As he put it "Medicare does not like holes in the mouth". If Medicare would pay for dental procedures, a lot of health problems in the body could be avoided over time.
Yes true i even asked for non metal fillings poor people with medicare can only pick the metal option i went to 7 dentist they all gave me xrays to they cant even connect to one another its so divided i hate it
You are lucky to live in the first world, if you come to Africa you will be shocked the treatment and some procedures are as ancient as Hippocrates himself and you wonder when the doctor last opened a medical book. And in Kenya we’re a bit better.
So true!!! I’m in braces with impacted canines. 3 dental cleanings ago I had a dentist tell me that I was losing bone around one of my canines and that there was a chance I’d need a support, lose the tooth or need an implant. This dentist made it seem severe so I had the X-rays sent right over to my orthodontist and after that my orthodontist didn’t do any adjustments for months and months and just let the tooth fall on it’s own. This really put me behind in my treatment and the reason I’m in braces for almost 5 years 😫 I think he was afraid that moving the canine was causing bones loss and I don’t blame him. Fast forward to my most recent X-ray and this new dentist tells me that he sees nothing concerning. I was confused so I told my orthodontist and he said “that’s because the bone grew back”. So yes, bone can grow back because it happened to me. The body is amazing in what it can do. 🙏🏼
I'm sure many people can't afford this. Prevention is so important. Some people may get periodontal disease no matter what they do but take precautions. Brush carefully and don't use whitening or abrasive toothpaste. Firm brushes are bad. Vitamin C is very important for healthy gums. Also, if you smoke, you're asking for problems. Don't forget flossing either.
Yes, this is all very good, but as you stated, some have oral health problems regardless and for a variety of reasons. Seems like many of these case would be a "one- off" so to speak, requiring a more custom treatment or a more systemic one maybe diagnostics of a more medical than dental variety.
Whitening products are fine. They have to be used correctly. Whitening gels were originally created in the past to help treat periodontal disease. Turns out they helped the disease and the side effect teeth became lighter in color. Agreed dont smoke. This will cause tooth issues, staining, tartar will develop more rapidly on the tooth. Dry mouth and throat , tongue and lung problems. Cancer.

Today I'm going for my second laser treatment after choosing the LANAP procedure. After several years of dealing with periodontal disease and many dental consultation from several Dentist I choose this procedure for more that one reason.
Thank you doctor. You really told me something very new and very unexpected today. I have a nephew whose teeth are deteriorating rapidly due to a diet with excess junk food. Now I have some good news to share with his mother: he is just 14, if adults can grow new bone in their jaw, so can he! Bless you 🙏
That is beautiful dental work with the laser. Thank you for explaining this to us. My mom and grandmom had a huge problem with their teeth, especially my grandmom. They did not use such techniques in her time and she suffered. Thank you for all the work that you do for people to save their teeth. Teeth are hugely important in our lives. You are a Godsend.
Wish I heard of this , too late for me though. I've got 30+ yrs to go and no teeth to come with me. I have my health backish though. I had extensive infection in my bones from a root canal and dentist said none could be saved. They weren't all bad, but they said they will be and it's easier and cheaper to take them at once. A few mental meltdowns later and here I am..Toothless . Total Hell of an Experience. I'm glad I'm alive but I wish and pray for my third set everyday..

@@pelonconstante6271 No. To be honest, I can't even find a dentist who is proficient, conscientious, and compassionate like doctors of the yesteryears. Nowadays, it's just the money they care about.
I had significant bone loss in my upper front tooth line. (military injury). In 2002 an oral surgeon filled in the gaping space with cadaver bone. (Yes, that's dead human bone). Few months later the cadaver bone fused with my own remaining bone to build up enough density to have 4 implants put in. Today, nearly twenty years later, there's been some bone loss to area. This laser procedure might be perfect for me. Looking into it.
Love my 4 Shatkin's first mini-implants! They are making me grow more jaw bone back. Much less invasive than other implants, and didn't require sinus lift like others would.
Don't forget that clenching your jaw makes your gums recede too. I was always annoyed with dentists who accused me of using hard toothbrushes, because I have so much gum recession. Yet I've used a SOFT toothbrush for years! Then I found out my habit of clenching my JAW makes gums recede.
Renee, after years of clenching and using mouth guards i had a removal of an unnoticed infection in a crown. Clenching ended. You may be reacting to pain. Research Berberine supplements if you wish to try something first. See advertisement from Steel Bite Pro for more education on supplements.
@@snsmystic , I kept asking for a tooth in front of it to be ground down, until no touching, then still couldn't chew there for pain. No xray proof. Filling came loose on bad one maybe, no proof. Taking Ionic Boron improved my teeth, gums and jaw bone rather quickly. 30 years ago I had surgery and cadaver bone grafts-- upper and lower-- to save my teeth. At age 64 I began supplementing with Ionic Boron and I experienced dramatic improvement. Chemicals applied to farm soil blocks the uptake if this important mineral into plant foods, so Americans tend to more deficient than people from many other nations. Pills don't work as well as the Ionic (liquid) form-- just 1/2 tsp daily added to water. After awhile you can take a second dose later in the day. Avoid taking too much or you will feel awful. It also aids in remineralizing cartilage in joints and reversing bone loss throughout the body. And it costs very little. I wish my many dentists had told me about this, but their ignorance of mineral nutrition is shocking.
Dentist job is to KEEP you coming back! Fillings if you have a small cavity, root canals, removal of teeth, bridges, dentures, etc.etc. Also, their mouthwash weakens bones🤔!

I got this after an attack wave of nonaerobic bacteriae ate a hole into my lower jaw over the course of a weekend. And YES, it was painful. Doctor told me, it's taken from cow's cellular material. It worked out fine for me as after like 3 months there was enough bone rebuilt to support an implant.
I had laser treatment for TMJ on my jaw joints successfully for many weeks and my gums started growing back in all of my back teeth except for the six across the top and bottoms in the front!
I had the gum surgery in your office. It was the biggest regret of my life. My teeth looked like dog teeth after my gum was removed. I wish there was better treatment back then.

Just had 4 bottom teeth removed because of loose teeth bone loss. I consulted 4 dentists about the issue of saving the teeth. Not one mentioned lanap procedure. They took out four for a possible bridge implant combo procedure in 10 months. Now I hide from people because of missing teeth. My teeth became loose because of bad orthodontics. It's a difference in quality rather than exposure. The first picture would have been taken ~3 years ago. Watch again where they show both x-rays side by side full screen.
@@davidansty6450 From what I understand the Laser takes care of the gum infection and the bone regrowth is the result of this approach being successful. The bone regrowth does look a bit excessive in density but perhaps that's due to overuse of the Laser to ensure the health of the infected area is fully restored.
Some Periodontists are so eager to extract Patient's Teeth. I was told in 2008 that maximum time my teeth would last only for 5 Years. He wanted to extract all my teeth which I refused and now it is 2024 and I still have all my teeth. However, whenever I go to a Periodontist, they advise me to get my teeth extracted. Thank you for giving the information about laser technology for bone growing. I hope this method is commonly applied as much as a tooth filling or maybe an implant operation, soon.
I got my wisdom teeth removed at the same time together. I was happy KNOWING my jaw bone would shrink back there. I didn’t like how my jaw looked for some reason. Now, the lactic acid builds up in my cheeks sometimes and makes my face swell around my jawline. It gives me jowls essentially. I can reduce it with ice, but doing face exercises helps a ton more. I pray to God I can get implants back there so the bones grow back.

I have been on opiates since 2003. The meds have destroyed my teeth and lower bone. I need extensive work and this is good news for me. I will have to find a dentist or oral surgeon and see if the know about this.
Expensive. Cost me around $3000 for the whole mouth. But it was completely worth it. I had at least five front teeth loose after braces in my late 50s. They are now nice and sturdy, and the bone around my molars and implants are filled in. If you want to save your teeth and not lose them do lanap .

Hello Dr. Nemeth - thank you for sharing this interesting information. Is there any evidence that this procedure can be effective over multiple years for more "horizontal" bone loss cases? The examples you showed seemed to be more focused on single-tooth use cases. I was wondering if there was any hope for people who may have experienced some bone loss and gum recession due to bruxism that went untreated for a period of time.
Just had this done. My experience wasn’t great😢. Not advice but my idea is to compare with carnivore for 2-3 years. 100% beef, salt, water. Add eggs if tolerated. There are many benefits. Check out Kevin Stock's meat health facebook group and search for teeth. You will see that there are many people that have dental problems disappear because they are simply removing ALL sugar and eating pure, unprocessed meat. No waste. No ingredients. No doctors. Spend money on real food and skip all of these problems later in life. You can also lookup Al Danenberg and why eating foods with natural nitrates in them enter our bodies via the salivary glands. Nitrates react with bacteria on your toung to form nitrites which you swallow and this will help your blood pressure because it becomes nitric oxide and this is good for your arteries and is critical for cardio health. One more idea if you have come this far: If the product has a label, don't buy it. Companies want your money and are processing everything. If we want a clean planet we all need to partcipate by purchasing only non-processed foods, directly from farms. Your money spent counts and matters. If you are buying soda or fruit juice or any oils or grains or cereals or candies, they are all manufactured and require petroleum or some serious energy sources to produce in huge quantities. A cow eats grass. It fertilizes plants properly when well managed and fed properly (no grain or soy), and it will make you healthy if you eat it without sugar. 100% beef will save your life and probably save the planet from all the commercials and big pharma. Hope that helps some of you to save your teeth and that you help save the animals that live on this planet with us from a monocropping and reforestation disaster it seems to me we may be starting... and feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Yes pls let us know, really appreciate it.
@@SharonPiano8 so far, sounds like it going ok.how much did it cost you and plez keep us updated

Medicare and other insurance doesn't cover much in dental work. This needs to be adressed

So true!! My dentist insists I can’t grow bone back
There are videos that you can play that will regrow bone loss. I saw the titles. I think one is a frequency.

Ditch toothpaste. And go with mineral based toothpowders to rebuild gum and teeth and bone.
Yes, this is all very good, but as you stated, some have oral health problems regardless and for a variety of reasons. Seems like many of these case would be a "one- off" so to speak, requiring a more custom treatment or a more systemic one maybe diagnostics of a more medical than dental variety.
Hormonal changes, including insulin resistance would do this to you
Whitening products are fine. They have to be used correctly. Whitening gels were originally created in the past to help treat periodontal disease. Turns out they helped the disease and the side effect teeth became lighter in color. Agreed dont smoke. This will cause tooth issues, staining, tartar will develop more rapidly on the tooth.
I Will take this advice! Wich brand do you use? :)
Dentist job is to KEEP you coming back! Fillings if you have a small cavity, root canals, removal of teeth, bridges, dentures, etc.etc. Also, their mouthwash weakens bones🤔!

Each bottle is 96 servings, at least to start, then you can begin to take more than one dose daily. Since over 75% of Americans are deficient, we should supplement forever. The second picture is always brighter than the first. Making the bone show more. Notice the teeth themselves appear more solid.

@@lora3996 I see what you mean. Except just having removed the infection would have seen bone regrowth. I'm not convinced the laser was responsible.
@@davidansty6450 From what I understand the Laser takes care of the gum infection and the bone regrowth is the result of this approach being successful. My gum disease, in early stages reversed and I'm not sure why except that I increased my flossing and toothpick cleaning around the gums. Also, growing up in the Texas panhandle where flouride is naturally in the water, I had strong teeth to start with.
Sharon, my gum disease disappeared after switching to an all meat diet three years ago.
Pineal gland gone
Try brushing with coconut oil instead of tooth paste...just try it for at least 3 days!
@@jselectronics8215 Do you consume dairy?
@@Test-vr3kf Yes, but I have cut way back on the heavy cream. I was going through a quart a week, taking a slug every time I opened the fridge. I’m now eating low-fat plain Greek yogurt from Costco. The PE ratio is 16 protein to 7 carb, zero fat. Chobani is 16 to 6.
Very little cheese.
How often were the LANAP treatments to achieve this?
Yes I am interested in getting the sample.
Have inplant same problem that you are showing . Will show this to my dentist ...
TH-cam has a real solution for anything we've all been waiting for, amazing
Just had this done. My experience wasn’t great😢. But that was due to complications I have in 2 extract sites one done over 2 years ago and one done 8 months ago, for some reason I feel constant pain in those areas and the general dentist and specialists can’t figure out why. Took a lot of anesthetic to numb those areas was so painful. However the other areas was felt pretty ok. Wish me luck with my recovery.
It sounds amazing and nice that it can be done, but it is brobably also very expensive - I would have loved to hear that the bone could rebuild a natural way - maybe just wishfull thinking
Thank you.
@@jd01665 I did the low carb diet for years...adjusted to where I felt the best and was still maintaining a good weight...for about 4-5 years consecutively ..I didn’t have any cavities that entire time..now I eat sugars and kind of whatever there is to eat..sometimes that’s all that’s available is fake food as my son calls it lol...I’m going back in it cuz I need to feel better...I’ve had 4 teeth just crack and crumble...haven’t been to a dentist in ages..but I was assaulted with a lot of the impact directly to where those teeth were that crumbled so I’m not 100% sure it was weak teeth
Check my post on vit d3 and k2 and c. It has visibly worked for me.
I don't have any personal experience but have read good reports on using Yarrow plant mouth wash to restore gum health before it gets to destroying bone.
@@jd01665Good on you for sharing that news. Its good to save our planet & all the animals on the land & in the waterways.Use & buy local .Watch anything packaged in plastic in the Supermarkets.Dont drink out of plastic water bottles- instead carry some filtered water with you in glass bottles. Its not only the burning of coal, but petrol fumes. Plastics too overcrowding our rivers & oceans killing & torturing marine life & heating up the water temperature with layers of plastic for miles,& on the sea shores.Lets get onto this. Also Xyilitol is good for oral health & cutting back on cavities - but with one caviet its toxic to dogs.

@@MarkBonnerdmd Dr Bonner, I am following your protocol, do you think if I keep following the protocol for long enough, it will regenerate bone and gum tissue gradually?
Wow... the best way to take care of our teeth and gums... I like it
I had a bone graft on my upper jaw in 2004. When my dentist was putting my last implant in, he cracked my jaw bone. Eventually the bone graft has almost completely desolved. I've wondered if there is any procedure that would grow my bone back. Would something like this be of help to me? I'm in Utah. Do you know of any dentists out here that do what you do? And would this be medical or dental insurance coverage or both or neither? It is like sm answer to prayer to find this. Thank you for any info you can give me!
In a month I have a tooth due for extraction and I am looking for saving it. The nerve is intact and no pain but VERY useful. Will send X-ray with your reply.
