YES!!! I first heard this song long ago, and I said "HOLY CRAP IT'S A XELLOSS SONG!" and I had been hoping someone would associate this with him, too! Thank you!! xD!!!!!
Technically evil but I think he is a little good… a little. :P Well, sorta' maybe. He kind of reminds me of Q from Star Trek. He pops in and out, may cause mischief, isn't generally a good sign but is fun, and watches the main characters. Data to Picard: "Yes, Q's interest in you has always been that of a master and a beloved pet." … "That was only an analogy sir."
SalveMonesvol more if a choatic neutral, while he won't particularly help or get in the way. (unless he's ordered to) Xellos is a prankster who likes messing with the show for his own amusement.
Yes, he likes messing around with the little things, but he also respects the hierarchy of the masoku, so he has mild chaotic traits as well as mild lawful traits. Overall, he does as he pleases. He may slightly bend his orders to his liking, while also messing around with people and having a laugh when something is messy or funny, like the time they killed a sea dragon for its meat. We do the same while watching the show, don't we? He usually doesn't cause the trouble, and when he does he is following orders (if he didn't he'd probably lose his life, and he also seems to be fond of his mistress). He enjoys being close to Lina because due to his race he feeds from the chaos around her. How do you call somebody who isn't really lawful nor chaotic, not good or evil (he is as good as a demon can be)? He's a true neutra, but a complex one. All the things he does could be done by a true neutral character in a table top RPG, as only the extremes are banned from them in most systems.
True true, he follows the hierarchy of the masoku and have to follow their orders giving him chaotic traits, but that isn't the main reason why I think he's chaotic it's the "Overall, he does as he pleases" part that i'm more focused on. There are times where he just watches the chaos around him, but I feel like there are more instances where he indirectly cause it for his own amusement. As one episode in Try he sends Lina, Filla, and the gang to a village that hates dragons; when confronted about it he simply states "why? because it would be more interesting." While it was because of the enemy henchmen and Filla who caused the destruction of the town, Xellos pushed things to that point. Not to mention the first time we meet Xellos he literally tricks the entire crew in order to destroy a manual script from the claire bible (which was his mission). In the end, I just feel like there are more instances where Xellos messing with something elevates the chaos the Lina causes than where everything that happens was just purely Lina's fault. Although, also taking perspective from the masoku side, Xellos tries to stretch the limits of the freedom he has when completing his assignments. This sense of freedom in his more subtle actions and when completing assignments he doesn't like really leans towards the more free spirited side of him. As his sarcastic behavior towards Gavv, when in the Japanese version Xellos uses formal names for everyone except Gavv. But I guess, all of this is just about perspective.
It's all valid, but all that just makes him true neutral in my book. He never gets even near Lina's chaotic traits. He would be just as neutral as Zelgadis when it comes to the good/evil axis, but Zel is Lawful (not lawful stupid, just lawful), and Xellos is true neutral.
SalveMonesvol Ah, that's a different way to look at it. Guess it's more reasonable to see Xellos as neutral when comparing his actions to the hyperbolic personalities of main cast. Guess the world is safe as long we don't mention Lina's bust siz... Huh, I think I hear some dubious chanting...
@shootthemessenger33 The problem with that is the sharp difference in animation. If you look at Revolution vs every other season it really looks different and using earlier works in this amv would be tough to do without messing with the flow.
well... actually i was going to make an amv like this one... but first i wanted t know if someone had done it before... but it doest matter, couse this amv is so poor that it is like there wasnt amv at all. sorry but it is what i think :P
I love Xellos! He's such an awesome character and he makes the series so fun! He's one of my favorite characters! He is technical
Love this character: he's funny, charismatic and creepy at the same time
It's a great match and the Eyes Open scenes are well used for sinisterness. Something about cheerful Xellos singing these lines is...unsettling.

Good job at showing him as both cheery and menacing! :D
I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF THIS SONG MATCHING XELLOSS SO WELL FOR YEARS! FINALLY, MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED!! THANK YOU! Oh, almost forgot, YAY EVIL GENKI!
HAHAHA! NICE! Very nice. I love Xellos
Wow... I never thought of it before but... This song fits Xellos perfectly!!

Thumbs up for Xellos ♥
I actually believe he isn't evil, he just follows orders and has fun. I'd say that he is a complex True Neutral.

This song is kinda silly but it suits him. XD

Your idea is really good, but I don't see too much effort.
