Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but the price point of Dyme's hoses are quite reasonable as a whole. It's a step up from DIY swivel fittings and stainless braided hose, but it's far more accessible than something like XRP.
@mandrakejake awww, boo hoo. People like shit you don't. You'll get it eventually, but if you want a hint: nobody gives a shit what you think, especially when you popped up outta nowhere to be shitty when they were having a good time.
@mandrakejake hey no worries, friend. You're free to not like whatever you want. I wouldn't do something as pathetic as stepping in to raise issue with your preferences for no apparent reason. Can't imagine what kinda boring idiot would feel the need to do that.
Oh man, those fittings are next level! You got me wanting to upgrade my build, but I haven't even gotten it running yet lol. Another great video as always!
Have been waiting on this one for a while.....I have 15 more minutes of wait in me for this Ferrari. Thankfully you posted this 13 minutes ago. 😊 Love your content, I'm here for all of it (almost all of it).
Those hoes do be looking good! Need to get them on my build, they would make dealing with fuel leaks etc in tight spots so much easier. Great cliffhanger, I am itching to see what is going on, might even have to jump on the Discord.
Peter Bjork used something similar on his Volvoghini build. He said it was originally used on F1 cars and when you disconnected the joins, it didn't allow the fluid to come out so no bleeding was necessary once you reconnected. Is it the same on this kit ?
@@stanceworks just sayin' that you can race a car without all the latest fancy snazzy anodized shizzle. In a few weeks you are racing and all that fancy stuff is gonna break again. Why not just bothering with the looks and just run it first and keep developing the car. Wayyy to nice now for fast developing. Respect for the works man, but seems the other way around now
I could argue with you, but I know no matter what, you're going to just be negative and dismissive. You clearly don't appreciate quality parts, or attempting to do things the best way within one's means. Quick and dirty is your style, and that's fine. For me, I enjoy the build. I want to do things the *best* I can. That means the best parts, as many revisions as it takes, and if that means I miss track time, so be it. I'd rather build the lego set than play with it, so to speak. Regardless, none of what I've done is "for looks". The hoses needed to be replaced because, if you missed it, the old ones are filled with pieces of my previous engine. What happened in this episode is necessary.
Us airplane guys and gals know the AN/NAS fitting struggle all too well. they're never ever in a nice spot, and the hardlines are always cut just a little wrong
Randy Po bst can drive the car and tell you where it is and how and what to adjust. Tuning the suspension and the driver.......cutting the learning /tuning time by an extrodinarly amounts.
If it wasn’t for cost, you could’ve used Staubli dry break fittings, then you don’t have to worry about spills. That’s what we used when I work on a race car team when I was a younger man.
FWIW, and I don't know if this is relevant to you, but I also have a K series running on a Nexus. If you run the starter solenoid off an 8a HBO it'll sometimes not start due to hitting your current limit and if you bump the current limit up to 12a it seems to usually start and very rarely trigger the other HBO to drop out momentarily or throw another PDM code for whatever reason on start. I've never had it straight up refuse to start after a couple of attempts and 99% of the time it is fine, if it ever actually becomes an issue I'd planned to just move it to a relay controlled by a DPO.
Umm… As a 20yr aviation mechanic on everything from a C-5 to C-152 I have *never* had an issue with an AN fitting. You are making your lines too short.
I'm going to save you a lot of money going forward. be happy with 600hp on the K20. 1000hp K24 makes for a good video title but you would be lucky to get one pole position out of it.
That turbo sounds so good just under the sound of the new motor...super nice setup... favorite build I've seen in the last couple yrs. You definitely deliver on your projects sir
In a lightweight car like this. How much torque becomes too much power? Like some twin turbo 455 monster 👾 that breaks traction with a slight blip of the gas pedal.
It might be a dumb question Mike but is it feasible to run a dry deck and fire rings like they do in drag racing on the head block surface to stay safer at high boost?
Shoutout to your truck as an unsung hero of this channel. That thing is sick and I would love to hear more about it. As a Patreon subscriber I also can’t wait for the next episode lol.
Don't mean to be mean, but like with the previous engine, this is becoming a bit like a taylor swift concert. sparkles, glitter and fireworks but the singing is suspect. You've got the prettiest hoses, the prettiest intake and block, the prettiest wheels, prettiest this and that, but how good is the engineering? You're doing a great looking job but will this engine blow up the 2nd time it's out on the track? I hope not.
This is similar to what Audi Team Joest implemented on the Le Mans conquering LM cars. It allowed them to quickly do transmission changes during race conditions efficiently
The Dyme kit is really cool. However, they could eliminate the need for measuring the clocking by using swiveling hose ends...which are available on the market in crimp-on style. I am sure they have reasons though. Thanks for showing those to us Mike. Love the quick connect feature.
@@stanceworks Sorry, I appreciate you have help from the sponsor there, but I've probably made 1000s of hydraulic hoses in mining for our machines as a breakdown and service fitter. I guess for the average 'once every now and then' situation, the kit would make it easier, but I'm guessing it is a pretty penny. * Edit - $2000usd for the multi size kit 😳
That rattlesnake kit makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I know you said it's not for hobbyists but it doesn't stop me wanting one.
I'll use any excuse I can to justify buying new tools.

Those hoses and fitting are absolutely awesome. There is nothing like some purple anodized parts in an engine bay to set the whole look.
Honestly, purple anodizing is the superior finish in every application I can think of. Paired with cyan/teal anodizing and matte black? Perfection 👌.
You two must be kids.. 😂 I really dislike the purple. Silver or black looks the most pro IMO.
