This is a beautiful story and very perfectly done with super casting of actors and actresses. So many international fans loves this drama especially the male lead Zhou Yiwei. I understand from reviews it’s not well received in China . Well .., they miss a good quality drama infact it’s a movie quality. Good I watched and finished with English subtitles, I don’t like when it’s dubbed. I like to listen to the real voices of the actors .
COMPLETELY AGREE!!! It’s horrible…..I had just commented that it’s like having a stranger read a bedtime story but trying to fake all of the voices of the characters. Absolutely sad to ruin this beautiful drama. Blessings!!!

Honestly, if you loved yanxi palace and dramas with those kind of plots that keep you on your edge. Don't waste time with this 1. It starts good and peaks quick.. But eventually becomes flat.. I'm at ep45 and I've been forwarding for over 15 episodes.

Tried to rewatch with English dubbing…..couldn’t do it. Horrible….the voices don’t suit the situation, emotions, depth of the characters. It’s like a stranger trying to read me a bedtime story but doing a horrible job at faking the voices. I know that there are a lot of fans that do enjoy English dubbing and that’s ok….We’re all different. Just for me…..its awful, with horrible voices and absolutely just destroys the authenticity & talent - which includes the emotion within the REAL voices of the actors. 😢😢😢😢 Nonetheless, it’s STILL the BEST C Drama ever!!! I’m sure that those who do enjoy the dubbing will take the time to watch the authentic series with English subtitles as to experience the true depth, emotions and excitement of each episode rather than have to listen to it like a story. I’m sure they will fall in love with it as well. BLESSINGS!!!

This English version is sub par to the original. These voices aren't even very good actors. The sounds and also the music is low quality compared to the symphonic music in the original which really carries emotions. I suggest you watch the original and read subtitles for a better experience.
This is a very nice drama. Royal Nirvana is the worst historical drama I've watched. They had great actors and actresses but the story is took so long and almost the same setting from ep 1-end.
Go watch what you want stop commenting nonsense on English dubbed ones, what's wrong with you commenters with your issues with dubbed...we like it this way
