They definitely turned the pinker shades into more coppery shades. Sin was so ethereal in the original palette, I feel like it lost that with the undertone change. I wish people would stop trying to pass off light copper as rose gold lol
I’m quite happy 😆 that they brought back the OG NAKED palette. I still compare brown toned palettes to this palette. I truly love ❤️ the NAKED palette. The looks I get are timeless and I get lots of compliments. I purchased the relaunched NAKED because my palette is 14 years old. I’m hoping that NAKED2 gets relaunched as well.
This was very informative. Thank you. Personally, I am sad about the removal of carmine. It took out the pink in Sin, Sidecar, and Toasted. I may just keep using my 2018 palette.
Yes, and Hustle used to have a slight purple tinge to it that is now gone, as well. Taking those pink or dusky purple tones out was a mistake. Other brands manage to create carmine free shades, especially the indie brands!
I have stopped using so many colors. I got into makeup when the naked palette came out and went through many phases qnd now that it’s been over a decade of wearing makeup, im back to wearing neutrals. So I really want this palette
I have worn these shades from this palette so much (the old version) it is the best palette. The new version looks very good, the colors are similar. Thank you for this review
Whoa i wish it still came eith a double ended liner! Always wanted to try their eye liners. They should totally have done that again, though it likely would have cost them more that way
Thanks for this video. I still have and I am using this palette. My favorite is sidecar and I was wondering how the new stacked up to the old. This video is exactly what I was looking for.
@@lilnitemakeupThe first round of palettes that included the double ended liner pencil was $49. My mother-in-law asked me if she could have the pencil even though she hardly wore makeup, so I let her have it. After those palettes sold out and after waiting some time, they finally released the second batch. All of a sudden it came with a makeup brush and the price went up to $52. I remember thinking, “Is the brush worth more than the pencil?”🧐
Thank you for the comparison. 👍 I still have my original one I bought and then my back up before it left so I don’t need the new one, but I was curious how it compared to the old one. 😊
I have definitely depotted the Urban Decay clear single eyeshadow packaging. Fairly easily if I remember correctly too. Just thought I’d throw that in there! I ordered my OG Naked Palette the day it launched 8/4. But if it’s that different, I may send it back. Sin is my favorite shade. One I still use regularly. I didn’t want a change!
Thanks! I think it would be fairly simple to depot the single, but it's not like Natasha Denona packaging where you can remove the pan and then pop it back in.
Hi this is the first time I am watching your video (just found you). I only have 1 constructive feedback (please do what you think best with it) - Please it would be helpful to keep the video true to the title (which made me click), so just start the palette comparison... I felt like by the time you got to the palette, you could edit the bit about keeping the box or not, or the eyeliner/brush etc. It'll help viewers like us to click on videos based on the title. Thank you, and thanks for your video too :)
I don't mind it, but I know a lot of people aren't a fan. Perhaps UD wanted to capitalize on nostalgia/FOMO? I think UD has stretched the limit of what you might consider a nude palette with their entire Naked series. 😉
I barely remember 201O😥 I do remember the Naked palette but was never interested. Things change but my mantra is "Brown Eyeshadow is Boring!" I like it on others but not on me. Happy for everyone who had this OG palette as their Holy Trail and can now have it once more.
Can’t really tell any difference in colors-although that palette is quite old and colors can change over time. Glad they went to vegan formula -just don’t get point on having non vegan formula.
Carmine is a non-vegan red pigment that has been used in cosmetics for centuries. The development of substitute red pigments that are vegan is relatively recent, and some are not FDA-approved for use in eyeshadows. Personally, I don't feel strongly either way, though I support any formula changes that make a product accessible to a wider audience. I just wanted to provide some context as to why the formula wasn't originally vegan. 😉
I'm tired of seeing old to new comparison. I never owned the palette before so all I'm looking for is new looks to use. Every single person is doing this. Let's try and be original!
If you search for Urban Decay Naked, a lot of people have done tutorials using the old one and the new one or both. A lot of people wanted to compare the shades before ordering.

Would you happen to know of a dupe?

It's truly a classic! Who knows, they might relaunch Naked2 if the OG Naked sells well!
I hope UD sees this comment and brings back Naked 2! Its OG true cool toned palette
@ravensblackwood Anything is possible!

Funny how cyclical trends are!
I just received this palette for Christmas. It's beautiful.

This is the review I’ve been waiting for! Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
Thanks for the comparison. I missed out when they discontinued so I will be getting this 😍
I feel like the older brown shimmers have a slight patina that the new ones don't have.
I bought it as soon as I could. So exciting!

I'm glad you found it helpful!
Id much prefer a double ended liner to a brush. ❤ great vid thanks for ur hard work!
You’re welcome! I wonder if a brush was more cost-effective for UD or if more people preferred the brush.

The double ended liner would be better for me. I love UD eyeliner formula!
So many great colors too!
So happy they brought it back. Hate it’s only limited edition
I think it may stick around through the holiday season at least!
After so many years, do I still need it? I don’t know, BUT it is still very pretty! 😍
I still have the old palette; I don’t use it. But not sure if I will purchase the new one .
Do you know when it may be released in the UK? I still have the one from 2011! Dont use it though!Cant wait to get this one.
The Urban Decay Instagram says September 4th!
@@lilnitemakeup thanks, will check that :)

Agree!
I am dissapointed it is in the same packaging. They could have done something "new" to the Nude Concept.

Disagree! Im so glad they did everything the same because its all part of the nostalgia!
Anyone else noticed that you get a loooot less product with the re-release? Why?! They already increased the price! Seems like a ripp off.

I'm not sure why you clicked on the video in that case! There are likely thousands of tutorials on TH-cam using the original Naked palette!
