I have recently purchased this car from among the cars of the same price in Iran, such as jetour x70 plus or Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, Forthing hybrid because of its more features, build quality and more beautiful design. Thank you for checking and helping me make a final choice.
The 2 most important factors when buying any car, new or used, are reliability and service competence. Yes, especially when it comes to new cars. I haven't driven a new car in the last 5 years where I didn't feel like it needed at least some repairs under warranty. A friend of mine runs a small feet of vehicles (~25 vehicles) and he has the same experience. VW group, Kia, Nissan, Stellantis, it's all the same. They can't fix them even under warranty. So in order for me to buy a Chinese car, they wouldn't just have to be "not worse" than the competition, they would have to be better. And that's an experiment I'm not rich enough to participate in because I don't believe it's possible.
I’ll leave a comment now before I forget. This version, if I’m correct, is the X7 Plus. It festures THIS downgraded infotainment system, a different section around the shifter and no warm or cold seats in the back. The X7 from 2022 had all those. We weren’t updated on the changes when we ordered the x7 plus. Came as a surprise 6:26
I kinda like how they lean into the Chinese origins by naming it “Beijing”. In America we have some Chinese made models from various manufacturers but it’s always hidden.
This is my ebay project watch. Patolex, as I like to call it. Patek-inspired case, Rolex-inspired jungle dial. Close-ups here. It's in Polish, but if you want to see more, here it is: th-cam.com/video/0Z7OQtSHghI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=d6z6kT-RBG53vCbu
This looks great, i’ll have to admit. I wouldn’t buy a Chinese car but I bet they will sell quite a few of these. Remember where Chinese cars were 10-15 years ago? We used to have something called a “Land Mark” here in town, someone brought it home with them after working in China I guess. The logo looked like the Land Rover logo. It looked like cross between a 1990’s CR-V and a Mitsubishi Pajero or something. It had leaf springs in the rear. I once watched the driver open the tailgate. It flew open on the gas struts, bounced off of the stops, came back down and eventually settled half way down. Great quality.
Always enjoy Your tests. All that electronic cr@p built into cars these days is mostly expensive marketing fluff. Anyone with a two digit IQ probably does not need 'lane keeping assist'. There won't be any Chinese car in my garage, ever. Let alone one that is called 'Beijing', not even as a free gift.
What is included in 25k worth of extras compared to cars from established manufacturers? 38k eur will get you a new Kodiaq with electric leather seats, matrix headlights, etc.
Consumption, lack of service support compared to other manufacturers, nvh, short seats and noticeably higher price than in China. Not sure if its customs, taxes or margins or all 3 but some VWs are also cheaper in China, probably other German brands. All in all seems ok.
Its just sad that if you want a near unobstructed car out the crate you have to import one from China because all youre getting from the Euro market are cars laden with more bongs than a childrens toy and decontented engines to meet emissions rules.

I hope it serves you well!
Let me know in a couple of months, how is it to live with long-term.
The version offered in Iran of BAIC Beijing 7 also has rear seats without facilities such as massagers.

I think a lack of AWD in the Beijing 7 is a bit of a letdown.

Interesting reviews Marek!
Subscribed yesterday, browsing trough your videos. What watch are you wearing in this video?

Land Mark or Landwind?
@@MarekDrivesENG Zhongxing Landmark to be precise.
Looks like SsangYong fucked Ford :)
@@MarekDrivesENG If I could send a haha reaction i would.
Was there any jaggedness in the way the transmission worked on lower speeds & in reverse?
Also, engine sound?
The transmission is jerky, at least when cold.
Engine sounds like whatever.

25K and they may be onto something.
Nice🇸🇦
The biggest problem with this car is probably the name of the brand.

Radar cruise control no stopping car wow bad handling auto parking that doesn't work, why include the things if they are effective.
Please review top variant of Beijing 3
ASAP
BAIC sold everything they had in Poland, including cars that were still on the boat. I'm waiting for a press car to be registered since January.
It’s not an ugly car but those emissions and economy are woeful
Emissions is probably not something China worries about, when they send cars to Europe :)

for 34k you can be tracked by the CCP..... yah no thanks. But always enjoy your videos Marek!
We're tracked by everything these days. A Chinese car won't make much of a difference.
brainwashed
@@vangpham2514 I'm not brainwashed. It's simple, CCP is a dictatorship that oppresses its people. I don't sponsor organizations like that.
Name does not affect driving, but they should have shosen a different name, at least outside China.
In Italy they Are called „Cirelli“
It will disintegrate in 6 months time
Cheap - for a reason.
