Both M.A. Yoga and M.Sc. yoga candidate hold equal authority/licensure for practice in their profession. NET (eligibility for assistant professor) exams conducted by the UGC too have identical syllabus and question pattern for both the degree holders. The only difference is in the content of the syllabus of the courses. MSc Yoga includes more of Physiology and Anatomy part.

The exam is conducted by the YCB, Ministry of AYUSH, GoI. The name of the exam is Yoga Professional examination. It's not necessary as of now to clear the exam, but it's advisable to appear for it and clear it as once we clear the Yoga Professional examination, we become certified Yoga Instructors/Teachers under Ministry of AYUSH, GoI. You can apply for Government and Private jobs with any Professional certificates like Diploma, P.G Diploma, MA Yoga.
