Anita's Quinceañera Highlight Reel

Welcome to Anita's Quinceañera highlight reel! This special video showcases some POV and behind-the-scenes clips interspersed with stunning photography of the event, including breathtaking portraits of the honouree, Anita, my cousin. I had the privilege of shooting and editing this memorable occasion held at St. Clare's Parish in Toronto.
Attended by family and friends, the event was beautifully organized by Anita's parents, Luz Elena and Geovanny Diaz. One of the highlights was the traditional changing of the shoes, a cherished Colombian custom symbolizing Anita's transition from girl to woman. The reel captures many emotional and significant moments, reflecting the deep cultural traditions even while being far from home.
Time flies, and it feels like just yesterday I was covering the quinceañeras of Anita's younger sisters. Being part of this family's journey and documenting these milestones is an honour, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
