I still cry to this song and imagine what a struggle our parents or grandparents went through to get here. if it weren't for them we all wouldn't be here. I appreciate everything they went through and would never forget it. I hope whoever watches this video next will pass on the message to our siblings, friends, family, whoever. pass on that our elders did all that so we could have the life we have today.
Once this COVID-19 issue slows down, I think it would be amazing to see all of you artist perform again like you all did in Hmong Music Festival 2012, in Fresno California. There are many new Hmong artist these days, but you all hit differently to me. Regardless, this rendition of this song is still so meaningful and beautiful even after 9 years have passed. 💞
Some of you guys criticized them like you know them. There's a reason they're big and was a part of this project. Especially the dude that said Proto J can't sing. Proto J is awesome! One of the best musical talents of the last decade.
Wow a very good song to our hmong. Zoo kawg ua tau zoo tsis dog dig thov quas. Muaj tseeb heev hmoob thov kom peb sib hlub yog peb tsis sib hlub leej twg thiaj yuav hlub peb thov swv daws sib qawg zog los ua ib pawg.
it's been 10 years!! can we get another hmong artist collaboration jam? especially now that there are so many new hmong artists out there and outside of the US -- would definitely be so cool to see a new version/collaboration :) Please consider this, K&S Project!!
I am going back home to Fresno,CA. I miss my Hmong people, because I have been here on the east coast for almost two years. This song and thinking about my families back home in CA keeps me going. Sorry to be a little emotional . I miss home and my people. Much love to the Hmong family. I see you in CA.
I remember when Tou Saiko Lee came to my school and told me I had potential to write lyrics and do spoken words. :) I've been inspired because of that. Thank you Tou.
It's a good song, it's art, it doesn't matter what form it comes in or out, sound or sight, it is from within the heart, mind , and consciousness. The outside world is directly a reflection of who we are as a collective within our self. Do your best to see our uniqueness(races) as a gift and not in prejudice. I think we should express feelings within our heart for all humanity not just hmong, otherwise it'll just be a form of prejudice.I believe we are all soul having a human experience not the other way around, I believe it is "I am therefore I think" not I think therefore I am. Any way keep the imagination going, love and be truly who you are with no doubts at all whats so ever, and love and accept other for who they truly are or is ha ha jk, hey I have a sense humor wow!! didn't notice, best of luck and much joy to you all, Keep smiling.
I have to say whoever remade this song with with all those Hmong artist did a inspirational job!!!!!......What a great song to be sung by all these talented people!!!! Wow, credit to all the singers and the folks behind the scene......Great job!!!!
love this song. makes me feel proud to be who i am whenever i listen to it. despite this individualistic society we live in, people can only be strong and thrive when they stand together and love each other. wonderful and inspiring song!
Just wana clarify on the words "Moj Tuam Nqa Kab" in your song on the minute mark of " 2:10" . The actual word is "Moj Them Nqa Kab". "Moj Them" means "United" The word "Moj Tuam" means "Long Hair Tails". The word "Nqa Kab" means Solidify in strength. So "Moj Them Nqa Kab" means to "United and strengthen as one" you may contact the Institute that taught Hmong Terminologies: Hmong Language Institute of Minnesota, Hmong Language Institute of California, Pahauh Institute of Minnesota, Pahauh Institute of Alaska.
