A nice summer afternoon at the Gallant Farm. The farm is part of Delaware County's Preservation Park. It's a working farm that depicts what farm life would have been like in the 1930s.
Gallant Farm in Troy Township is a representation of a Depression-era farm and includes a farmhouse with period furnishings, a barn with historic 1890s timbers, a granary, a machine shed and barnyard, demonstration crop fields, vegetable garden, an orchard, and pond. Visitors encounter costumed interpreters completing their daily chores - plowing the fields, tending the garden, or cooking on a wood-burning stove. There is no charge to visit Gallant Farm, and no reservation is necessary
