Nice work on rca conversion ! Phono is the only flaw on this machine regarding the longevity.
Cam length is what pushed me to buy the 4.0 unlimited.
Cool, nice to see inside! The bishop wand is essentially the same setup.
Correct but wound for 6 volts instead of 12 volts like the sol nova
But with a garbage casing work on the bishop :/
@@staceydickson3530same wound both are 6 volts but cheyenne use a higher resistor combined so usually takes arround 2 volts more for same speed.. the 12 volts winding is the one used on inkjecta nano machines

Hi yes same question how did you unscrew the orange part. I’m having trouble getting it off.
Can’t tell what motor size is in it. Is that a 2610 ?

Man I’d like to change my sol nova unlimited from 3.5 to a 4.2 stroke! Is there a specific cam that will work that is available online??
The price is simply unbelievable for what they put inside. They could sell it for $250 and still make a killing on it!!!

How can buy a motor for the machine???
Very nice job man.. I love machines w bigger stroke cams... I have a Cheyenne Hawk Pen, how could I get a hold of a 4mm cam and swipe it for the one that it comes with?? Hope to hear back from you thanks..
Raul De La Torre Hey thanks for your comment unfortunately though the Cheyenne hawk pen Cam system is quite a different then the sol nova internal setup. a 4mm conversion would not be possible
@@staceydickson3530 okey yes I undertand.. Im looking to buy the sol Terra, do you know by chanse if sol terra could be modify down the road like nova? I think ill be jus fine w terra since its a 4m stroke. Do you know if Terra & Nove share the same bls dc motor? Thanks for yur knowledge.
Hey Raul, the Sol terra & sol Luna are the only Cheyenne machines I haven’t tore into yet, although they both utilize the BLDC motor technology I’m not sure if the cams are pressed on like the spirit and thunder or if it’s removable like the sol nova. ( id put my money on the cam being removable though with the sol terras BLDC motor)
The BLDC produce more torque then a Brushed motor, (and are more prone to the cam slipping on the output shaft under load) the sol terra and Luna most likely have a machined tip on the output shaft where a cams setscrew seats itself just like the motor and cam in this video 👍

Great video what made you modify the sol nova and do you see the difference in power?? Also did it come with a chip/motherboard inside
I modified to a RCA to utilizing the wireless battery packs ( the power is still the same) and the sol nova uses a BLDC motor so *yes there is a small controller (chip/board) on the back side of the motor that’s not shown.

I heard this machine has alot of issues with the motor being really noisy and loud almost loud like a coil after awhile. What is the cause of this I heard it is a common problem which is one of the reasons holding me back from buying it.
Also what is the difference between a RCA machine vs. 3.5mm jack machine? Is there any difference? Pros and cons?

Sol Novas cam wears out quickly if you run your machine over 8 volts there better low and slow in my opinion

When you convert it over to rca does it work with battery packs ?
Isaac Pena correct the sol nova will run on battery pack once converted to rca /no other modifications needed to run on bat. Packs

hy , great video , my sol nova change sound , now is more louder , any ideas what is it , there is no spring inside like in hawk pen?
This would be due to a failing cam bearing, the sol nova cams do not last long being ran over 8 volts in my opinion

Cool engineering. Minimal components is perfection of any moving mechanical system. Reasoning for brass and no spring is also less weight, so yeah 👍🏻⚡️
