When Whiplash first war this costume back in a two part storyline at the tail end of Bob Layton’s first legendary run on the character, he changed his name to: “Backlash.” Then he changed it back to Whiplash later.
I give credit to you for remembering that, I read (and own) all those books and can't remember most of that stuff! Make sure to keep watching and filling the comments with the details I can't remember 😂
Thanks for the review on this one Geek. Whip-lash is on my wishlist for villains so I pre-ordered one. I should have waited for your review before the pre-order. Although in a standard pose this one looks pretty good, it is when it is posed in some sort of contortion does the weakness in the product show. No waist cut is definitely a huge no-no in 2024. Especially for this character.
I bought this guy for the Space Ghost head. I have a Hatut Zeraze body I modified and I just need to paint this head and some gauntlets and it should be done. It's a good thing they are all on the same base body.
He seems fine. The biggest problems I see is that the plastic Hasbro's using is too rubbery, making the joint pegs bend, causing separation between bicep and shoulders, etc. It's also probably why your waist swivel is stuck. That rubbery plastic actually sweats due to humidity, causing already tight joints to stick. Seems like a decent figure, but I do wish he had a second head with a gritting teeth expression of anger, and I wish we got a second, more articulated whip for posing. I'll never be a fan of those heavy, rubber capes. It seems like every company is going for cloth goods whenever possible, but Hasbro's reluctance to spend money continues to plague their output. They're doing better figures as far as paint and sculpts goes, but to do this, they are sacrificing the plastic quality, and still are skimping on accessories. Those are the things that keep Legends from feeling like quality purchases. When you get a Boss Fight studio or Four Horseman figure, the quality is always there in the plastic, the sculpt, the accessories, the paint, etc. Legends is stepping up a lot this year, but there's still stairs to climb. Cloth goods and better plastic keep them from being the amazing figures that they could be.
Both shoulders were stuck. Did the heat but the biceps feel rubbery . Had the same issue with Electro . Spider UK buck and still has issues. Head looks like Guardian. Happy to have it tho. Cool review thanks
It looks great, nice colors. Maybe it is a coincidence but I recently got Bucky Captain America wich also has black limbs and he is very very stiff. I put him in hot water twice by now and both times the legs get hard to move again afterwards, is weird.
@@GeekHangOver Pretty much like that and the figure's joints do get loose and I can pose it and all but the next day is very stiff again, quite annoying. I got the odd one I guess
They pulled this straight out of the 90s iron man cartoon with the suit case armour tony.
I didn't watch that show, tried to start watching it last year (a long with the Avengers 😢) but maaaaaan, they don't hold up like X-Men and Spidey
OH man MR.... you did it you heard my prayers!!!!

I'm hoping mine just needs some heat
I bought two. Imma customize the extra head to replace the very sad "grumpy grandpa" Guardian head sculpt.
Send me one 😂
Space ghost whiplash 😅 and i do agree Hasbro should have done better with his lower body's articulations .
This is one of the few times I won't whine because he looks so damn good!
Now I want a Space Ghost figure! 😂

Can I have it? 😂
I'm kind of tempted to try and make a custom Zorro out of this figure. 🤔
Give in to the Dark Side, give in to the temptation!

Guardian confirmed. Damn on those arms though.
Looks pretty on point. Sucks about the frozen waist.
I'm hoping it's frozen and not fixed, that would suck
Bro the Souja Boy 😂😂 Yeah he looks solid but he’s another ML I’m have to find a soft goods cape for lol
Find me one too! 😂
NOW Count Nefaria please! :D
I did him yesterday but was too tired to edit, I'm working on it now

That's odd, especially if you did it twice? How long are you doing it? I used boiling water, zip lock bag and usually 90-120 seconds

You da man
😍😍😍
You just want more intimate kittens!
why is the audio like this
Ummm , "this" isn't quite descriptive enough for me to provide an answer, but I would guess it's my 🎤, maybe?
Which mold is he? Seems like Magneto mold, but I'm not sure.
I'm not sure, buck recognition is DEFINITELY not my thing.
I’m not familiar with the characters. Are these from the cartoon or the comic?
He's definitely from the comic, may have been in the cartoon as well
