So cool!! Love your energy, creativity, and patience. I was a teacher for 6 years, so it’s not like I haven’t worked with students, but I just love watching you work with her. I think it gives me hope and confidence for the future.
Once again that was a lovely session where she was giving the impression that she’d had enough but then totally engaged and enjoyed her session.I have thoroughly enjoyed the last two videos. Thank you for sharing xx
Yes coloring is so much work - I made the mistake of getting the "interactive notebook" curriculum for my son a couple of years ago thinking it would be great, all that coloring (he loves art - but he loves being artistic, not coloring in other people's pictures) I thought all the chopping would be great for his fine motor skills - it all just really exhausted him, at the time he still used his whole body to colour and write, it took quite a long time to teach him to just use his hand. We found painting was the much better medium for him.
We use watercolor paints they don't seem to be too messy... As paints go. We have one of those circular swivel sauce things... I think it's called a lazy Susan? Which has 2 jars of water, and a jar with heaps of different brushes, then his paints are contained in there case which is easily transportable for when we take them out for nature studies - then we bring along the brushes that hold water.
I appreciate your videos. My 6rd old daughter has Trisomy 18pq and I notice some similar traits. I have been taking some of your techniques and it’s helping! Thank you!
Wonderful job Naomi 💖 can I ask what app you use for her talker, it will come in handy for my 4 and half year old granddaughter who has Down syndrome. Thanks for another great video, you all take care 😊😘
This is so precious!!!

So true! We need to try more painting as well. It just gets so messy... but I know it's worth it.
