If you smash the garlic cloves with the flat side of a big knife, it crushes them just a bit and the peels come off so much easier! So nice having a full freezer!
What a productive day! A little tip on the fajita meat, if you drizzle a bit of avocado oil on the meat, it helps to evenly distribute the seasonings. The bonus is you don't have to oil the skillet when you go to cook everything.
Adaline, you make EVERYTHING look so effortless! It’s quite remarkable how much you can get done in your cozy kitchen! LOVE these recipes. I appreciated how you separated the chicken from the orange sauce. You can make so many different sauces to use with the chicken. I am going to batch cook a lot of chicken that way. The possibilities are endless. Sesame, teriyaki, general Tao, peanut sauces just to name a few. I can’t believe I’m so excited lol. Never thought of preparing fajitas ahead like that. What a great idea.
Your baked goods were very appealing. You could drizzle some of the lemon glaze over the strawberry muffins. So yummy.
I agree! It triggered an idea in me to prep more chicken like this as well ☺️
i just peel my garlic cloves & place in a freezer bag to make my life easier. I minced it as I use it. I can put them in the garlic press froze - so fast - We use lots of garlic. Makes my life easier
Watching you make the Lemon Bread and muffins, got me to pause the video. Go to kitchen whip up fresh blueberries muffins! That's what I had on hand. Sat back down & finished watching .lol. You got me doing garlic like you! I found some silicone trays at Dollar tree. A little bigger size, looks like a honey comb. I figured out that each cube was about two cloves. Thx!
You are an amazing person and work so hard with love for your family. Many blessings to you.
Like you I don’t like peeling garlic. I discovered Costco sells organic peeled garlic in the refrigerator section.
I’ve been using your garlic freezer method and love watching your videos! Thanks for another great video!
Hi, if you take a handful of garlic and put it in a jar with a lid and shake, the peel will come off. 😊 I will be trying the lemon loaf. 🍋 thank you for sharing.
I haven’t tried this but I’ve seen people do it! I just turn my knife on its side, lay it over the clove, and give it a good whack. 😅
Not sure if anybody said this but just as a note, try putting the oil can on the counter and not the stove. That type of can, can explode when exposed to too much heat.
To keep your slices sep try using patty papers. They are already the perfect size , I use them all the time and they work perfectly. Love your channel by the way thanks for sharing. 😊
Very nice sharing 💖💖💖
How do you plan out these cooking days?
Love your videos. That lemon loaf looked delicious. I cheat and buy minced garlic in a jar but totally appreciate your patience with all the hard work you do on your own for it.
They also sell frozen minced garlic. It tastes better because it doesn’t have the citric acid added. Comes in a pack with a ‘clove’ you just push out of the package
Thanks for your videos. Love garlic as well. One little trick I use is to smash the garlic with something heavy. The skin just comes right off when you do that.
❤your kitchen and laundry area look beautiful ❤. Would make a house tour video? I would love to see it! 🎉 God bless You ❤
Get some chickens 🐓🐓you will love them and your girls will love them and it is a wonderful activity for them to care for the chickens and collect the eggs 🥚 🥚
Recipes looked delicious today (as always). Loved your update too the other day!! Blessings!!
I always love your prep videos. My favorite was the strawberry muffins
Really enjoyed todays video. Today was a light prep for me. Freezer prepped some creamed spinach as well as some sweet potatoes 😊
Hello Adaline! I hava a tip for peeling garlic. You can presh de clove with a knife and then put them in a Tupperware, close it and shake it with your hands. This way you can peel a lot of cloves in a little time.
The lemon loaf was my favorite part of your video! Although everything else certainly looks wonderful! ❤
Everything looks great I’m going to have to try!! Your apron is still clean ! Love your videos! Thanks
Always looking forward to a new video
Everything looked yummy, but the lemon glazed muffins did it for me.❤
For how long did you bake the strawberry muffins?
Just a tip…. Go on and zest your lemons, limes, oranges ect… freeze the zest… you can also freeze the zest with a little of the juice in you small cubes… that way you have it when you need it and you won’t have to try to zest after you juice them
I do the same thing with my garlic. I mince it in a food processor then I drop it with a small cookie scoop onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, freeze it, and then put the little pucks in a freezer bag or a container It works great for me.
You are so cute and seem so sweet!! Thanks for sharing! I have been freezing banana nut muffins a lot lately and it's true that they hold their flavor and texture well. I love having them handy!!
I really enjoyed this video and I definitely want to try out the king Arthur gluten free flour and some of the monk fruit sweeteners. It's tough as a dessert lover haha so making some substitutions I'm sure would be much healthier in the long run. Thanks for all the great ideas!
I see others mincing the garlic, using a small cookie scoop, to put the scoops on a cookie sheet, flash freezing, and then transferring to a freezer bag. Easy to pull out what is needed, and less work😊😊😊😊
Great video with great ideas! Thank you!!😊
Everything looks delish!! Quick question: Do you wash your strawberries and then put them back in the baskets to use later? I don’t usually wash mine until I am about to use them because they get soggy and lose “shelf life”.
Hi Adeline, I just started watching your videos about 3 months ago. And I think you are just amazing and so sweet. I was wondering on the muffins if I can mix strawberries And peaches, I don't see why not But I just thought I would ask. Have a beautiful
Week and god bless you and your family
Shake the strawberries in flour first helps then from sunking
I don’t do a lot of meal prep (yet) but I do make a lot of pancakes and waffles in many varieties for the kids. Pack it up and have a quick filling breakfast . Not all mornings but ones we might be in more of a rush .
Try grabbing some Elephant Garlic! Each clove is about the size of a shallot and makes peeling them so much easier and saves time!
Loving the videos ❤❤
It might be easier to zest all your lemons/limes right before using the lemon. Whatever you don’t use, just freeze. If you run into the after issue, you have what’s in the freezer
Have you ever seen the silicone garlic peelers? Those make peeling the garlic sooooo much faster and easier!!
Yes I have, I have actually had one in the past but I don’t think I knew how to use it correctly!
I got so tickled at you fussing about the garlic. You were like a little girl. I've never heard you fuss about anything.
I'm meal prepping for the week today. I've cooked a few things up for the week and got my meat thawing for the week as well. It really does help. Great video Adaline. Ty.
Won't different types of marinated meats be good to keep at hand in freezer so when you don't have time you can take it out in morning and in the evening you can grill them
Always zest lemon's, orange's and limes then squeeze the juice out. Any left over juice put in ice cubs and freeze and store in zip lock bags. Left over zest can be wrapped flat like a envelope in baking paper ( parchment paper) and frozen sealed in a zip lock bag.
Hi my friend what i do is sock my Gaelic in water very early and it come out very good ❤❤❤❤❤ i love evry thing
For peeling garlic I like to put my big knife on the clove and bang my fist on the knife to break the clove. The peels will come off easily then. Or you could use a meat hammer or a rolling pin.
in costcos fridge area there are bags of peeled garlic. no peeling required
Unfortunately my store discontinued selling them! 😞 I used to get them all the time! ☺️
Can you show how you freeze and reheat these?!
Yay! So happy to see another great video!!❤
I like to season my meat and veggies in a ziplock bag easy to toss around and evenly coat and if you prep or cook in large batches I think it's worth a one time use bag to quickly easily and evenly coat your food and save a little on dishes
What other type of flour can u use? I've got a nut allergy. Lov ur videos. Hav an awesome day n wknd
Put the garlic cloves in a jar and shake it in this way a lot of garlic peals will be removed
Instead of water try adding oil when minsing garlic
Ok... back to the video and I have another tip for you - dip garlic cloves in boiling water for just a minutes and the skins will slip right off. You can also heat them in the microwave for a few seconds or smash them with the flat side of a knife blade to loosen the skins.
Hi new to watching you. Love everything so far. Could you use some avocado oil with the seasoning to coat it?
Quick question: Why do you have those wooden scoops in some of your containers but never use them?
My lemon loaf secret is rub your zest and sugar together for extra lemony 🍋 flavor
Y’all would like oat banana muffins and maybe cranberry orange muffins. Very easy and delicious. The website I get recipes from are usually gluten free recipes.
❤
Thanks for sharing! Looks like you linked a Pineapple Chicken recipe instead of the Orange Chicken. So you have that recipe?
Thank you for letting me know this! I corrected it now! pin.it/3z6DshdiV
This is the first time I have watched your channel, and honestly, I almost turned you off once you started putting each individual piece of chicken into the pan, individually, using a fork. What the heck!? That, to me,, indicated extreme inefficiency. Just dump in a little at a time, and smooth around the pan! That way, the first and last piece go in at the same time and cook evenly. As you did it, the first in cooks about 2 minutes longer! And finally you did that! Also, that you were going to make three separate batches of sauce to ensure you got the same amount in each bag. Why not just make it all at once and measure equal amounts into each bag? I did persevere. Your food looked very good. Thank you.
Lol. The next time you’re e dreading your garlic prep, just imagine a world with no garlic and how sad you would be without it. 😉
❤ you have me wanting to bake and fill my freezer😂. It’s so hot here in southeastern Pa I can’t run my oven. It’s very close to my thermostat so it make it hot in here and the air runs forever to bring the temperature back down😣😞
the pre minced garlic in bottles at the store does not taste the same. I bought a bottle once & never again. I like the taste of fresh real garlic with no preservatives. Also make sure your garlic is from the the US.
Don't costco have peeled garlic in a bag in a huge amount
Just a note, for the lemon loaf being dark it is because of the dark pan it was cooked in. If you cook it in a glass or aluminum foil pan you will notice it doesn't get as dark.
Monkfruit and stevia and xylitol is so so so bad for your liver.
you talk to much
@LesGlazier It’s really not necessary to make rude comments. If you don’t like the way the creator of the channel delivers her content, you are free to either mute the sound, turn it off or move along. It’s sad to see bad manners inflicted upon others. 😢
I love your prep videos! Here's a tip for you. Frozen empty lemon halves are much easier to zest than room temperature ones so I always keep a few tucked away in an airtight container in my freezer. Hope that helps!
Hey!!! That’s great tip!! 😍
