Just another tip for the farming pals. The pals used for farming mats in the pastures, workspeed won't effect how fast the produce stuff in the farm. It's better to get SAN and food reduction traits on farm pals. Also pals like jolthog for electricity or jolthog cryst for cooling also do not benefit from workspeed traits. They are better off with SAN reduction and food drain reduction traits.
I've heard grazing pals don't lose SAN so speed buffs and a diet lover are the best for cows chickens and bees. They eat a little less and move really fast to get the food and back
Putting the mill next to the farm plots can free up a water pal since they won't need to spend all of their time on the farms, also having it next to the farms means they don't need to travel to get to it once they've finished watering flowers 😊
I see a lot of youtubers giving some wrong info. Passive skills for ranch pals who specialise in "farming" (the fence icon) do not benefit from Artisan, Serious, Work slave, etc..... passives that increase work speed essentially. If you go do a task yourself and you see a progress bar e.g. crafting a sphere, watering the berry field, cooking something, etc - This is where Artisan, Serious, etc is meta. For Chickens, Bees and Cows, there is no progress bar.... which means the work speed is not taken into account. You want to focus on Diet Lover, Dainty Eater, Workaholic and Positive Thinker / Swift. That is the meta for pals. This means the grazing pals will spend more time grazing and producing eggs/milk/etc and less time going to eat, eating and resting in the spa.
you can, however, infuse them to level 4 and that will increase their partner skill, thus yielding faster farming. I believe you can also use the monitoring stand to make farming and breeding quicker. Just use better food.
I have 6 farms going consistently at once, 12 pals breeding. My 8 pal support setup: - blazehound noct 4 star perfect worker traits but could be jormuntide ignis - lyleen 4 star perfect traits - can handle all the gardening and gathering. Don’t use petalia it gets distracted by transport - jormungtide - 2 bees - need 4-5 stars to keep up production - cow (need to buy extra milk) - chicken (need to buy extra eggs) - vanwyrm cyst for freezing and transport Don’t need electricity, it’s a waste of a pal.
I mean, I personally combine the functionality of a breeding base with a quartz mining base. Build a bunch of scattered foundations, and just build the entire thing above the quartz nodes in a way so they can still respawn. If you need quartz, throw in a few miners, they'll go down to the basement, and mine the quartz for you. Than you can swap them back out for whatever you're breeding up top. Took me a few hundred ingots and stone to get all the foundations done, as I did the entire platform out of metal, but hey, it works. And it also has a gorgeous view. Another nice little lifehack that a friend of mine showed me was the viewing cage or whatever it was called. When you run low on space in your palbox, you can just throw a ton of pals in there. With a lot of big ones it'll look weird as all hell, but hey, if it works, it works. In fact, it works so nicely, that I was thinking of turning my verdant hills base into a similar structure.
Pen fences have a weiurd hitbox. When placing Pens next to each other, overlap them and move until the second placement becomes blue. Keep moving the same way to intentially create more space. Throw your Pals between the Pens and the Build perimeter and they will show you if the path is big enough. (Will walk through if big enough, will just bug around and walk in circles if the space is too small.) I started a similar design with the pens surrounding my base, only to come back one day to each of my pals being stuck between pens/outside boarder.
Love the general layout! I believe with one of the recent patches, you shouldn't need beds by the breeding farms anymore, since the pals being bred won't get tired and will sleep in the breeding pen at night. Looking forward to an update video with all the optimizations.

I love the advice for Jolthog. I also use the Jolthog Cyst for fridges because of the same reason. It only has freezing and doesn't get distracted like the Penguins or Chillet.
If you plan to play competitively on official servers when PvP comes out, I suggest not messing too much with the world settings. For example if you turn incubation duration to 0 you will not get accustomed to the mechanics of mass breeding such as the number of incubators u need + the heating / cooling for different types of eggs
One thing I’ve learned is that if you have the monitoring podium, you can actually set what tasks are allowed or not. That would definitely help with Orserk and its electricity production
I have a 3 story main base that does several things first floor is for salads and cake mats second floor is beds and 6 hot springs and 3rd floor has 4 breeding pens and storage about to build a 4 floor and 5th for production and last floor for stone wood trick is when you don’t want stone or wood being produced you cut stairs to them you build one floor up from room on platforms. So you never have to rebuild them and keep them placed.
@@dauntusgaming ok for my stairs to get every big pal up and down 3 walls high and stairwell needs all 3 ceiling above to be gone if it’s only 2 wide they won’t be able to use.

Ranch PALs don't work any faster with improved work speed. The only factor is their skill level from infusion. As such - the best ones to use are improved sanity (Positive Thinker, Workaholic) and hunger management (Dainty Eater, Diet Lover). This keeps them in the ranch longer and consuming less food.
You only need a little bit of quartz, like probably less than 1000 total. And you only need sulfur if you want to use the rocket launcher a bunch. You can buy the rest of the ammo from merchants. I've heard nails are the best profit margin item to sell.
There might be an issue with Baked Berries: pals are coded to only eat a specific number of items from the feed box on each visit. Because Baked Berries only give 21 nutrition the bigger pals wont fill up, so they burn up a ton of time making laps back and forth to the feed box. I'd recommend setting up another 2 plots and a stove for Salad as you can have your Lyleen tend it just as well and it gives 84 nutrition and 11 San. Edit: also I prefer the Plateau just NW of your base location, its the Southern end of Forgotten Island. There are currently no ways for Raids to get up onto it and so long as you don't build any defensive walls you wont get any flying raiders to spawn.

It does look cool but damn it doesnt really fit in, ya know? I agree with the other posts, feed em salads. still gotta grow it but has better nut value and 11 SAN. I actually noticed, from averagejonas breeding spot location that one side is warmer then the other so if you have certain eggs for temperature it just need a campfire to keep it very comfortable instead of using heaters which is close to your base by the beach -357, -73

Raids only seem to happen when a statue for capture upgrades and pal stats, is placed in a base i have yet to test it fully but upon moving main base from starting area to Resource rich areas and essentially rebuilding the main base. once i placed the statue down a raid started seconds after it was placed

Check out the burgers you can make on the electric stove. Increases work speed and reduces san for a short period. Can make one of your breeding pens for the moo moos only for butchering.
You can stack farms. I've been stacking my wheet and berries plantations. Use wooden benches stacked on top of each other, place a farm on top bench -> delete top bench -> place farm on next bench ->repeat.@@dauntusgaming
Problem is producing enough tomato and lettuce to fuel such a thing requires multiple plots of each on top of the two wheat and berries which not only requires space but more Pals that are able to get through it all quickly and harvest it all. This takes space and slots which are needed for breeding. You basically need the Pal slots increased to 20 to make this build work anyway unfortunately to use the other pens.
Passives do not help with the ranch pals from what I understand. Only getting their levels up w/ the condenser will make them produce more unless this was patched.
@dauntusgaming does artisan, etc. really improve the workspeed for ranchpals? I heard the workspeed passives does not improve the drop rate or time where pals drop items in the ranch because it's a skill not their actual work, is this rightm?
@@iitaclhii if you're looking for the time it takes for a pal to drop something off it's probably movement speed you're looking for. (Faster trips to a chest) Supposedly work speed is functioning the way it's supposed to now
Theres a post on the planting ai and how to build around their pathing if you need some more content. Basically build them in a box with one side open. Ive attempted something similar with a ranch in a 2x2, pathing seems better..
@MrVice_mk1 Basically, you limit the sides they can path to, so build walls around the plants. Berry was a 1x1, others were 2x2 and I think my ranch is 3x3 with a door. So they can only path to the one side of the plantation or enter from only one side.
My breeding farm has a few Viewing Cages to help me separate my pals so i put all the good parents in the cages till i have the perfect pair so i can condense the rest and not risk losing the good skilled parents. It also saves alot of space in the pal Box since every cage can hold i think 30 or 40. I also Kill ALOT of dumuds threw the day so all my bases eat pretty much just Chowder at this point lmfao
I've played 120 hours and while I absolutely, thouroughly enjoyed my time, I'm callong it quits now until the game gets some much needed updates, specifically for base building. The basw building concept of getting everything automated is really cool, but it's super complicated to get it set up properly due to the buggy AI pathing and the extremely limited space you have to build in. At first, the space seems super big, bit once you start incorporating everything into it, like the breeding farm and upgraded assembly lines, it becomes super tight. Add the fact that you also need to fit in a ranch, 15-20 Pal beds, food plantations and hot tubs while simultaniously making sure your Pals have enough room to move around while also accommodating the bigger Pals and then they STILL get stuck in structures etc, it becomes frustrating. You basically need to be a structural engineer to create an endgame base that's both stylish and efficient. On top of that, the structural pieces are all square-shaped while the build radius is circular-shaped and the actual structural pieces look pretty generic. Base building honestly needs a massive overhaul. It was ok when I was still discovering all the Pals, exploring and grinding for cool loot, but once you have all that, the next logical thing would be to create a really cool base and I just feel like that's impossible with how the base building currently is, so I will just take a break and give PocketPair the chance to improve the game. It's ok, I can be patient. I love this game to death and it has been such a breath of fresh air among all the 60-80 Dollar triple A games that are full of intrusive MTX, all designed to milk the players dry as much as they can. With that in mind, the next game I plan on getting is Enshrouded. It looks like a beatiful game with a huge world to explore and a much better base building system. It may not have the cool work camp vives Palworld offers, but it's probably more consistent and again, it's a 30 Dollar game. Really excited to jump in and explore that world next while I wait for PocketPair to make the necessary changes on the road to Palworld's full release. The future of this game is very bright!

We definitely have to keep in mind that we are basically beta testing this game. I’m encouraged that they have already rolled out a patch to fix a lot, and we already have another patch in the works for this week. I was watching another video just before this one that mentioned a wild-caught Lyleen is better than the boss tower caught one. The boss one is 3 and 2 as you mentioned here, but the caught / breeded ones are 4 and 3, so you should use those instead
I actually built on the worst plateau and get attacked by multiple level 40+ raids. Pals kept dying so I had to bring two of them out levelling everytime to do some night time executions in the hot desert. If they're all level 30+ they should be able to deal with the raids right?
The lyleen you have is the tower boss glitch catch version, lyleen has lv4 gardening and typically can solo plant 4 wheat farms , 3 berry farms , 2 tomato farm , 2 letuce farm on my base with some help with 2 verdash lv3 gathering(for harvesting the crop) and lv2 gardening to pick up some slack made by lyleen(w/c happens alot because pals often gets stuck
How are you doing so much damage to Necromas with the AR. With any weapon I'm unable to do more than 20 to them. Unless you turned up your settings. Mine are default. Edit: After seeing it yeah I see you upped the damage. By default you only do 15-20 on a crit to them and have to use flame and poison to bring them down enough along with using legendaries vs legendaries.

@@dauntusgaming I was planning to build were you have your breeding farm but I have been busy throwing resources at legendaries to catch them and bring them down (mostly playing default settings except Pal density being 1.8 and catch rate being 2 until they fix the effigy bug etc an made hatch rate 0 for now). Might also check the video out for that castle build because it looks neat. Edit: Something I noticed as well is that if one only uses the default amount of Pals allowed one ranch might have to be cut since there won't be enough space for all the Pals needed to fill it. I also like to put a cooler in and have the ice hedgehog or the fox cool it.
hoping for the official released they add story quest , evolution(might complicated the gameplay) more pals ,larger map and 5 base rather than 3. (mining base, resource base , main base , production base such as pal sphere weapons and stuffs and teleport base.)
I just made a chickipi with Lucky, Artisan, Work Slave and Serious. Yep I am that crazy person :D lol. I also fully upgraded said chicken now he is lvl 5 egg layer lol. Funny thing I can build the electric oven but I forgot. Got to get on that now!! How do you find only 2 wheat fields? I have 3 and I find it too slow but perhaps because I have the base doing other things too. I need to optimise a bit

The passive skills doesn't work for ranch animals, they only work when there is a working bar being loaded, like when you craft. Only the star level is relevante for the ranch production
I have two questions : -What is your repartition of pale if you have only 15 place ^^'? - what significate exactly the level of capacity ? I've been thinking: wouldn't it be better to use Caprity for Berries rather than the plantation? Inside a Ranch they produce red berries and they also have the planting skill (Tier 2) so they can help out with the Wheat Farm. I'd assume that you could produce more berries with Caprity than just using the Berry Plantations so that could free up some space at the base for something else
I’ve noticed that I tend to get way more berries than I need, so I think it’s best to keep the egg/milk/honey farm as efficient as possible. One I get a fully upgraded Chikipi/Mozzarina/beegarde I will mess around with other ranch pals and see how it flows. Thanks for watching Mario!
Rather than farming up materials you can sell 17 nails to buy the wheat, milk, eggs, and berries from merchants so you can dedicate your ranch to honey production.
Hi there! I placed the pal box first, checked my work, marked the center on my screen, deleted the palbox, built the stone foundation so that it would split the palbox in half, and then built the palbox back on top of it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Lyleen actually has level 4 working abilities. But because you use the one you catch whilst you exploiting the boss, she only has level 3 working skills
They will not graze faster with work speed. Work speed only affects things which are on timers. Handworking, kindling, gathering, mining and logging only when it's the logging site and the mining site, not the trees and ore you found outside. So all these traits are useless. The only useful traits on farming pals are traits like Diet Lover and Workaholic, which reduce the need for these farm pals to be outside of the ranch.
May you give us a Breeding base that has 3 or 4 Viewing Cages? My 3rd base is a breeding base. There's something missing with this build which is a couple of Viewing Cages. I have 4 of them and I still need more due to bad passives. sigh. Saving the bad pals for the Protein Shake Condenser once I get the perfect passives on a Pal.

Assuming you mean the castle, he didn’t, you can see the back stick out. He most likely turned off the deterioration setting in world settings, letting you build outside of a base without it getting destroyed
Lyleen has 4 planting. Yours only has 3 because you’re using the boss version. For some reason Lily and Lyleen has worse base stats than a standard Lyleen.

Well, it actually has some effect. It will shorten the animation time, which, if the pall is 4*, can mean going from 2.5x as fast to 3x as fast.

I actually noticed, from averagejonas breeding spot location that one side is warmer then the other so if you have certain eggs for temperature it just need a campfire to keep it very comfortable instead of using heaters which is close to your base by the beach -357, -73

I've got the last 12 Anubis I need to 4 star my artisan incubating right now. They'll be headed there soon enough.
Raids only seem to happen when a statue for capture upgrades and pal stats, is placed in a base i have yet to test it fully but upon moving main base from starting area to Resource rich areas and essentially rebuilding the main base. once i placed the statue down a raid started seconds after it was placed
you should use salads nutrition: 84 san: 11 and imp work speed for a bit

Check out the burgers you can make on the electric stove. Increases work speed and reduces san for a short period. Can make one of your breeding pens for the moo moos only for butchering.
Recently switched to Pizza on my farming base, loads of nutrition, improves workspeed, and increases fullness length.
You can stack farms. I've been stacking my wheet and berries plantations. Use wooden benches stacked on top of each other, place a farm on top bench -> delete top bench -> place farm on next bench ->repeat.@@dauntusgaming
Problem is producing enough tomato and lettuce to fuel such a thing requires multiple plots of each on top of the two wheat and berries which not only requires space but more Pals that are able to get through it all quickly and harvest it all. This takes space and slots which are needed for breeding. You basically need the Pal slots increased to 20 to make this build work anyway unfortunately to use the other pens.
Passives do not help with the ranch pals from what I understand. Only getting their levels up w/ the condenser will make them produce more unless this was patched.

Theres a post on the planting ai and how to build around their pathing if you need some more content. Basically build them in a box with one side open. Ive attempted something similar with a ranch in a 2x2, pathing seems better..

@MrVice_mk1 Basically, you limit the sides they can path to, so build walls around the plants. Berry was a 1x1, others were 2x2 and I think my ranch is 3x3 with a door. So they can only path to the one side of the plantation or enter from only one side.

I don't think work speed bonuses affect ranch spawns at all.
I find it easier to place my perma-workers in the bottom slots, leaving the top open for easier switching of my breeders.

My breeding farm has a few Viewing Cages to help me separate my pals so i put all the good parents in the cages till i have the perfect pair so i can condense the rest and not risk losing the good skilled parents. It also saves alot of space in the pal Box since every cage can hold i think 30 or 40. I also Kill ALOT of dumuds threw the day so all my bases eat pretty much just Chowder at this point lmfao
I've played 120 hours and while I absolutely, thouroughly enjoyed my time, I'm callong it quits now until the game gets some much needed updates, specifically for base building. The basw building concept of getting everything automated is really cool, but it's super complicated to get it set up properly due to the buggy AI pathing and the extremely limited space you have to build in. At first, the space seems super big, bit once you start incorporating everything into it, like the breeding farm and upgraded assembly lines, it becomes super tight. Add the fact that you also need to fit in a ranch, 15-20 Pal beds, food plantations and hot tubs while simultaniously making sure your Pals have enough room to move around while also accommodating the bigger Pals and then they STILL get stuck in structures etc, it becomes frustrating. You basically need to be a structural engineer to create an endgame base that's both stylish and efficient. On top of that, the structural pieces are all square-shaped while the build radius is circular-shaped and the actual structural pieces look pretty generic. Base building honestly needs a massive overhaul. It was ok when I was still discovering all the Pals, exploring and grinding for cool loot, but once you have all that, the next logical thing would be to create a really cool base and I just feel like that's impossible with how the base building currently is, so I will just take a break and give PocketPair the chance to improve the game. It's ok, I can be patient. I love this game to death and it has been such a breath of fresh air among all the 60-80 Dollar triple A games that are full of intrusive MTX, all designed to milk the players dry as much as they can. With that in mind, the next game I plan on getting is Enshrouded. It looks like a beatiful game with a huge world to explore and a much better base building system. It may not have the cool work camp vives Palworld offers, but it's probably more consistent and again, it's a 30 Dollar game. Really excited to jump in and explore that world next while I wait for PocketPair to make the necessary changes on the road to Palworld's full release. The future of this game is very bright!

We definitely have to keep in mind that we are basically beta testing this game. I’m encouraged that they have already rolled out a patch to fix a lot, and we already have another patch in the works for this week.

I was watching another video just before this one that mentioned a wild-caught Lyleen is better than the boss tower caught one. The boss one is 3 and 2 as you mentioned here, but the caught / breeded ones are 4 and 3, so you should use those instead
I actually built on the worst plateau and get attacked by multiple level 40+ raids. Pals kept dying so I had to bring two of them out levelling everytime to do some night time executions in the hot desert. If they're all level 30+ they should be able to deal with the raids right?
The lyleen you have is the tower boss glitch catch version, lyleen has lv4 gardening and typically can solo plant 4 wheat farms , 3 berry farms , 2 tomato farm , 2 letuce farm on my base with some help with 2 verdash lv3 gathering(for harvesting the crop) and lv2 gardening to pick up some slack made by lyleen(w/c happens alot because pals often gets stuck

How are you doing so much damage to Necromas with the AR. With any weapon I'm unable to do more than 20 to them. Unless you turned up your settings. Mine are default. Edit: After seeing it yeah I see you upped the damage. By default you only do 15-20 on a crit to them and have to use flame and poison to bring them down enough along with using legendaries vs legendaries.

I turned the damage up for my first play through to learn and teach game mechanics, I am doing a mode play through on the side now that I understand how to play.

@@dauntusgaming I was planning to build were you have your breeding farm but I have been busy throwing resources at legendaries to catch them and bring them down (mostly playing default settings except Pal density being 1.8 and catch rate being 2 until they fix the effigy bug etc an made hatch rate 0 for now). Might also check the video out for that castle build because it looks neat. Edit: Something I noticed as well is that if one only uses the default amount of Pals allowed one ranch might have to be cut since there won't be enough space for all the Pals needed to fill it. I also like to put a cooler in and have the ice hedgehog or the fox cool it.

hoping for the official released they add story quest , evolution(might complicated the gameplay) more pals ,larger map and 5 base rather than 3. (mining base, resource base , main base , production base such as pal sphere weapons and stuffs and teleport base.)

It's still a good thing to do from what I can see though as I think a lot can breed with a chicken so then you can transfer them easily to other pals.@@InnseGall

All you have to do is destroy/mine the rocks and build on top of it and it won't come abck!

The passive skills doesn't work for ranch animals, they only work when there is a working bar being loaded, like when you craft. Only the star level is relevante for the ranch production

- what significate exactly the level of capacity ? Exemple the chiken have 1 point on enclosure, when he 4 star he have 2 point, significate he is twi time better ?

I've been thinking: wouldn't it be better to use Caprity for Berries rather than the plantation? Inside a Ranch they produce red berries and they also have the planting skill (Tier 2) so they can help out with the Wheat Farm. I'd assume that you could produce more berries with Caprity than just using the Berry Plantations so that could free up some space at the base for something else
I’ve noticed that I tend to get way more berries than I need, so I think it’s best to keep the egg/milk/honey farm as efficient as possible.
One I get a fully upgraded Chikipi/Mozzarina/beegarde I will mess around with other ranch pals and see how it flows.

Passive skills have no effect on ranch pals, only levelling them up improves them
Rather than farming up materials you can sell 17 nails to buy the wheat, milk, eggs, and berries from merchants so you can dedicate your ranch to honey production.
Use the monitoring stand to make orzerk only do electricity generating.
Can you get anubis by breeding still at lvl 30? If so, who is the best 2 for getting anubis?

how did you put stone foundation before you put palbox?
Hi there! I placed the pal box first, checked my work, marked the center on my screen, deleted the palbox, built the stone foundation so that it would split the palbox in half, and then built the palbox back on top of it.

Lyleen actually has level 4 working abilities. But because you use the one you catch whilst you exploiting the boss, she only has level 3 working skills
The passives don't assist with the ranch. Only how many stars it has. They also don't lose SAN or get hungry inside the breeding farm anymore.
work speed passives dont effect the ranch
The work passive does not work at the ranch.
They will not graze faster with work speed. Work speed only affects things which are on timers. Handworking, kindling, gathering, mining and logging only when it's the logging site and the mining site, not the trees and ore you found outside.
So all these traits are useless. The only useful traits on farming pals are traits like Diet Lover and Workaholic, which reduce the need for these farm pals to be outside of the ranch.

There's something missing with this build which is a couple of Viewing Cages. I have 4 of them and I still need more due to bad passives. sigh. Saving the bad pals for the Protein Shake Condenser once I get the perfect passives on a Pal.

Assuming you mean the castle, he didn’t, you can see the back stick out. He most likely turned off the deterioration setting in world settings, letting you build outside of a base without it getting destroyed
Lyleen has 4 planting. Yours only has 3 because you’re using the boss version. For some reason Lily and Lyleen has worse base stats than a standard Lyleen.

your lilly and lyleen have less planting then lyleen by themselves have. Lyleens have 4/3/2/3 Planting/handi/gathering/Medicine
