- If you die while you still have the heart you wont get game over just reset of event ... but if you get killed by any npc including saiko when you dont have a heart you get game over. Added another Npc Yui .. she would appear randomly in nightmare mode as both ally or enemy just like shinji. also i dont have much time to edit out videos properly so ignore the steam friend popping up in the bottom right corner as a notification by the end of the video.

First we were amazed at Saiko's A.I. interactions, then it was the new school layout, then it was the most recent updates with Yangire/Yandere modes and the cutscenes, and soon, when its ready, a real nightmare the likes we haven't seen yet, nightmare Saiko's movements are spine-freezingly freaky.
I'm not gamer-ready for this update yet...

My theories were correct, that she would move in space, but the possibility of adding our friend and the main character's room - it just blew my brain 0.0*

Nice, the lights on the ceiling broke when Saiko switched to yangire mode. I saw the lights being tampered with by her presence in the previous teaser and was hoping they would break when she got angry. I didn't think it would happen, so I was relieved to see it happen. Nice job Habupain.

I'm speculating there still might be more after nightmare mode, it might not happen, but here's my speculation: I feel after nightmare mode, things will get more supernatural and Saiko will lure Akira into the spirit realm with her if she can't kill him. There would be a new difficulty and it would be called 'Hell' and it would take place in the spirit realm with a spirit realm version of the school. Maybe Shinji's and Yui's ghosts would be there as well if that happens, and maybe give Akira a little closure on their death and help ease Akira's trauma. Easing Akira's trauma would remove Shinji and Yui as an enemy during gameplay. If Saiko is indeed possessed by something, then "He" that Saiko mentioned would maybe become visible to the eye in the spirit realm, since "He" could be a spiritual entity. Shinji could help guide Akira around with some of his experience in the spirit realm and inform the player about "He". Since Shinji died in the same area where Saiko died, Shinji might have seen some things about what "He" could do while being there. One of the objectives in 'Hell' difficulty would be to exorcise "He" from Saiko and, somehow, if there's a way, send "He" to hell. Saiko can assist the player by stalling "He" or etc., but "He" can make her turn on the player. Saiko can be returned to normal by the player to continue to assist them, so essentially, one of this game mode's gimmicks is a tug of war between Akira and "He" over Saiko. "He" can separate himself from Saiko and go after the player, leaving an opening to help Saiko be returned back to normal temporary. When 'Hell' difficulty is clear, the game's story will come to a conclusion. It's canon that Saiko is dead, so a happy ending for Saiko is sharing her final moments with Akira and he somehow helps relieve her obsession with him and Saiko lets go of him and moves on to the afterlife. I can't help but feel if this moment does happen, the scene will pull a Kingdom Hearts and Fatal Frame and a song with Akira's VA singing will play during the farewell. Akira will learn from his mistakes after these events, from whatever he did was bad, that hasn't been shown yet, and will become a better person. Maybe he'll secretly become an exorcist or investigator and appear in future games and aid the protagonist of those games.
Honestly this sounds like a really interesting concept.

3) Alright that we already have Yangire mode and we are going to have this mode in a future, but both of that modes can have a logical explanation. Adding a "Hell" mode would ruin the game realistic atmosphere... So no, sorry but bad idea
@@tomassanchez0 No worries, it won't happen. This is speculation about a game mode that I thought would be a fun concept to share that corresponds with the other idea of how Saiko can get a happy ending. I remember seeing a comment Habupain made saying nightmare mode is the last mode to be implemented, so 'Hell' mode won't happen.
The reason why I mention Akira made a mistake is that I was taking into account a comment I saw Habupain make somewhere (or was it Crovo?). The comment went something like "Akira may not be as good as people might think" from what I remember. There's also one of the Yangire difficulty endings where Akira hugs Saiko and says that he's sorry, so I took those two things into consideration that Akira might have done something wrong. It might be revealed in Crovo's animations (Imagination Clash) in the future, so we'll know for sure when we see it.
From my point of view, I see this game as supernatural due to some of the things I saw. There's the strength Saiko does when she's in Yangire mode, like her casually busting down doors and snapping the player's neck. In the part 9 teaser trailer, Saiko first received the doll and the eyes weren't glowing, while in episode 7 of the lore video, the eyes of the doll Saiko had were glowing red before the events of Saiko killing Yui. Saiko's eyes glowing red just like the doll she has makes the doll seem suspicious to me. There's the bunny pages used to repel bunny Saiko, but that doesn't count since it was happening in a dream, though Habupain did say there is going to be lore about it in the future. Lastly, Saiko is a ghost in nightmare mode, where her presence can tamper with the ceiling lights and cause them to break when she switches to Yangire mode. Also, in this video, the way Saiko goes into Yangire mode, it looks like her body is being controlled like a puppet. All these things make me see this game as less realistic and leaning more towards it being supernatural.

Whoa, it's getting better and better. Saiko, even as a ghost appears nice and like her usual self, but rejecting her demands makes her to switch to yangire and causes the lights to break. Like a true paranormal encounter.
With this you can no longer trust anyone in this mode....
They can spawn as ally or enemy so you wont know what it is until you interact with them.. some times they could be locked in a room and you need to get them out.. you choose to get them out or you let them stay.. they could end up giving health if you have low health.. or they could end up giving some other useful item.

Not everyday where you see the after effects of a horror movie plot after it ends to the survivor. It interesting to see the game slowly giving you the story and life of these characters.

Man...I just found out about the game through a Brazilian channel of horror theories. Too bad I accidentally had a lot of spoilers, Even so, I was super happy that there will be new content through the nightmare mode \o/

I was wondering what that slowly draining heart meter at the top right of the screen last video was about, guess I have my answer now lol, so I guess you’re on a time limit to figure out what sequence of events you need to do/what Saiko wants before her ghost rages out and kills you? Also there’s a lot of dying/waking up so I guess the implied deathloop Akira is stuck on in Yangire endings is going to be used for puzzle/Sequence solving?

I have an idea for a multiplayer game mode
How about having four players playing at the same school but different dimensions.
Just like the concept of "closed spaces" in corpse party.
The players can only communicate with others by writing letters and sticking them on the wall which can by read by everyone.
Some solution to the puzzles are only in another dimension and they must leave a piece of the solution on written letters or even items lmao.
There can also be an item which will temporarily put everyone in the same dimension for a few seconds or something.
Or nah. It's already great as a single player game.
well, making a multiplayer sistem for game isn't easy
and they're also focus on the story to be finished first after that some improvement and more cool updates

on the other hand yui becomes psychotic too just like saiko does so she's obviously crazier than her.

Bro Habupain good job at making this awsome game i really love the story. I cant wait until Nightmare mode is finished. And this really is a nightmare mode, Saikos voice lines are shown to black on screen, she only appears in mirrors, and she is lot more dangerous in this mode. This a lot more scary the Yangire mode. I also cant wait for the endings of Nightmare mode. Btw please update the mobile version of Saiko no sutoka. Stay safe and good luck to you habupain.
