Hi Macrame Lovers...
The tutorial that will be discussed this time is how to make Macrame Curtain Tie Backs.
This is the third Macrame Curtain Tie Backs tutorial.
I used the Diamond pattern with a big Square Knot in the center.
Materials used to make 1 Macrame Curtain Tie Backs:
1. 3mm cotton rope, 270 cm long 11 strands
3mm cotton rope, 370 cm long 1 piece
3mm cotton rope, 70 cm long 1 piece (to make Gathering knots)
2. Wooden beads, diameter 2 cm, 1 piece
3. Scissors.
The knots used are: Vertical Larks head knot, Double Half Hitch Knot, Square Knot and Gathering knot.
The end result is 50 cm long, 50 cm diameter curtain tie circle.

I consider that it is not very clear to elaborate it, especially to start.
It starts with a 270-centimeter strand, but when mentioning the next strand, it is not clear how that strand enters. I am trying to do it and I have not been able to do so. The thing about the stitches or knots is clearly understood.
1 piece of 370 cm long rope + 5 pcs 270 cm long ropes, combine them into 1. Make a vertical larks head knot using the longest rope (370 cm). Start making the knot from the middle of the ropes.

Hi... Thank you for watching my videos. To determine how long the size of the rope is needed, it depends on the design of the pattern and knot used and the thickness of the rope used. The tension in making the knot also affects. In general, macrame makers use this formula to determine rope length:
Let's use a wall hanging as an example
Estimate how long the knotted part is (say 30cm)
-then times by 8 if its really detailed knotting
-Or 6 if it is only moderately knotted.
- or 4 if it is sparsely knotted.
Then estimate the length of your wall hanging that is unknotted.
(Say approx 20cm)
-And times it by 2
-Add an extra 20cm for the larks head knots.
Add the two together and you have the length you need to cut for your curtain.
If you are a beginner, I would add just a little extra (say 20-40 cm) to each length just to account for the different tensions.

I use some kind of softboard/pinboard. I doubled it so it was thick. and aq cover with a cloth on top. I installed according to the size of my desk about 60 x 90 cm. Spacious enough to make a medium size wall hanging.

you can increase the length of the rope about 20% of the size using a 3mm rope

kalau pakai 4 mm, hasilnya sedikit lebih lebar dan tebal. Utk ukuran, tambahin aja sekitar 30 cm/tali kak.
