I love that Wakazaemon is more and more active on her bass, she seems much more free now (and as she was stunning from the start ... ). I still hope she'll have a funky project too in the future, because she's a n amazing groovy player too! Akane is the one that surprised me the most here, with her very sustained notes at the end of each chorus, she put her guts in it and it pays!
Wakazaemon (bassist) has said she was given more freedom with her parts on the second EP/mini-album, so it's closer to her own style. With both Marty Friedman and Koiai she's really got to support the guitars for most songs which restricts her slightly more. Given violinist/bandleader Ayasa's background with releasing lots of anime theme cover arrangements, the style of this song makes a lot of sense as being in her wheelhouse. I personally wouldn't compare her too much with Jill, even though on a technical/virtuosity level they're near enough on a par, both still professional orchestra level soloists (another type of gig they've both moonlighted on) and also both do a lot of session work (both soundtrack & classical). Ayasa is just more frequently a marquee name on more varied projects because she's spent more time focused on being a solo artist. Whereas the studio stuff where Jill gets that kind of billing more often in the metal side of things (though I'd love to hear the project with Ichika Nito she's been involved with). Plus Ayasa mostly plays a five string violin, which opens her writing up to also playing viola parts with the lower range. The drummer is from Lonesome Blue and the hair colour with matching sticks and cymbal toppers seems to be a trademark of hers. Yuki (guitarist from D_Drive) gets to pick and choose her moments here compared with her main band, there's less heavy lifting required of her. Their first release had five tracks and this second one has four.
The best song from them. Wakazaemon really throw you amazing bass line and get freedom they want. Guitar violin combo never fail. Akane voice so bright and nail every note
Wakezaemon on bass wins the award for MVP on this track. She’s got no limits! And Mizuki on drums let’s rip. I think Akane on vocals is the secret weapon. Her approach to every song idents East Of Eden, notwithstanding the great violin/guitar pairing of Ayasa and Yuki. Great track, but Evolve still is my favorite EoE track. 🎻🎸🤘

Talking during instrumental solos...unforgivable.
This is East of Edens 6th single/MV release.
Finally some proper bass lines! I honestly think they needed some.
who do I like more , Jill or Ayasa , the Answer is Yes
Jill always solid but get overshadowed by the guitar. Ayasa arranged the song herself so she can play what she wants and more freedom
