Pinoy Joyride - South Luzon Expressway (Complete Southbound) Joyride

- Finally I have completed the current South Luzon Expressway Southbound from Quirino Avenue Manila to Batangas City via the SLEX and STAR Tollway route.
In this video you can see the ongoing contruction of the Metro Manila Skyway stage 3 and soon, the entire stretch of Osmeña Highway / South Superhighway will be covered by it, meaning no more sunshine. After the Alabang Viaduct you can see the Filinvest overpass which I seldom document due to exiting Filinvest or starting from Filinvest exit. You can also see the transfer of Susana Heights exit to the integrated exit between Susana Heights and the just recently completed Muntinlupa Cavite Expressway. (Daang Hari Expressway Link). Upon reaching STAR Tollway you can see the newly paved asphalt layer but after Lipa Exit, its still concrete and the expansion of the carriageways of STAR. Included in the video is also the current class1 toll rates.

After seeing this lengthy video, I can see the significant change of scenery from the urban hellhole of Metro Manila to Batangas. (Excuse me for calling the metropolis a hellhole because of, you know, heavy traffic, air pollution, and traffic noise.) That was a very nice road the South Luzon Expressway was, linking the metropolis to the Southern Tagalog provinces. I enjoyed it very much. Of course, I recalled seeing the Magallanes Interchange in the video, as well in some of the previous videos you made. That was another enjoyable ride you took me on. Salamat as always, kapatid.
+Brian Hudson thank you for watching and long time no hear! Yes you don't have to excuse yourself, it does look like a hell hole hahahaha! But as an organism trying to survive the hell hole, I should learn the ability to adapt lol! I vowed to myself I would be making a complete joyride of Slex before it completely be covered by Skyway stage 3. so here is the video :-)

6:05 was the beautiful part of the Metro Manila Skyway . it's the Sales ( Nichols Naia) Interchange . My Favorite Exit in Slex is 11:50 The Flinvest Alabang Exit .

10:18 to 13:32: Back in 2019 SLEX NB from San Pedro to Skyway entrance ramp is usually a bottleneck because of drivers wanting to swerve from SLEX Left lane to Skyway entrance ramp + A toll plaza after the entrance ramp, Causing traffic.
15:11: SLEX Carmona exit is my favorite SLEX exit.

I like it that STAR Tollway until Lipa Exit is now asphalted and although that after Lipa Exit it is still concrete (I'm sure it will be asphalted in the future) I'm glad it is no longer a two-way highway. Always love the background music, kudos to DJ Iceferno!

When Can You Make A Skyway Stage 3 For September 2015
Dapat magpatupad ng one lane truck policy sa slex northbound and osmena highway northbound from 10 am - 2 pm monday - friday, saturday from 10 am - 8 pm and sunday 10 am - 1 pm simula july 6 2018
Dapat po sa Skyway kau dumaan but Anyway okay na rin pla ang star tollway hinde na kami mahihirapan dumaan! Salamat sa effort and uploading :)

+dmitrivalencia You'll be alive to do that, but you'll have a heart attack when you have to pay the toll for all the expressways. I bet Skyway (when Stage 3 is completed) alone will account for half the total of the toll!

Yun atang guhit sa kalsada reflectorized pero hindi yun ang inaalala ko. Yan mga trak na bumibiyahe na halos di na makita ang tail light baka maka disgrasya.

+Batibot étoile the santa rosa exit sometimes is traffic due to the nearby factories along the national road and there are stoplighted intersections like along Laguna Bel Air and plus there are tricycles. Eton Exit (Malitlit) on the other hand is the longer route yet few obstructions, you just have to deal with the small carriageway along Greenfield area but it is moving.
