The inverter has to be running at a higher voltage than the grid, so it can push power out (current flows from a point of higher voltage towards a point of lower voltage, never the other way around). The problem is every solar installation pushing power into the system lifts the network voltage just a little - and with tens of thousands of systems coming online on DISCOM network each year, some systems are confronted with a grid with voltage outside inverter tolerance hence result in tripping.

I have 7kw ongrid solar system with 3 phase connection in summer one phase always comes with low voltage like 170 volts and so on. So can I add a *mainlin stablizer* to my grid will it function properly thereafter...???

Sir, I'm working in a 10 MW plant by Vikram Solar Since 1 year faced similar issue we deliver power to a 33KV distribution Substation , during any fault or breakdown at local feeder of that SS the voltage at our end rises beyond 36.5KV we had to trip whole system or reduce inverter DC loads to maintain the grid stability.

I m DISCOM Eng.... During Solar Generation (12 to 16 Hour) LT Voltage raise drastically and reached up to 275 Volt......So most of Solar inverter tripped..... due to this Consumer grievances raise........ How Can I resolve above issues...
