ik i'm 3 weeks late but during those three weeks i've been coming back to this song there's just something about having this hero character in so much pain, questioning themselves on if they're even still alive, and if they're still right, denying all of it while somewhat confirming seeing a newcomer and feeling their soul's power, tries to cling just a little longer to escape. and then contrast that with an evil parasitic invader that just mocks everyone involved, playing with everyone as his actions causes the world more harm by using the main hero, even acknowledging that it is just that and that the newcomer is also an anomaly, taunting. and then the hero sees the newcomer is surviving, and perhaps maybe he can escape, finally be free and then is denied And just, breaks after that, just pushing himself to break everything instead because if he's gonna be stuck hurting toiling with a parasite until the day he dies, then he's dying today. he still believes the newcomer is denying escape, destroying the world times two, and tries to destroy them too, but questions himself once again in final moments, before ultimately deciding to go through with it. honestly great work and that's just concept, it's greatly executed, sonic's parts clear but eggmans part is also perfect for what it is, just the first part is my favourite with the slow build-up to the parasite reveal, but really the third section definitely was just so exciting to watch unfold. the use of pronouns (I and We) in some places were great as Eggman used them to refer to him and Sonic, but Sonic uses it next section to refer to him and BF when he thinks he can escape with him. also the one rhyme in the last section ('bloodshed' and 'head') really worked with the section's melody. last thing, the fact that god is refered to but not as Sonic is neat. Instead of the "I am God" schtick, it's "yeah he exists but it's not me" which really suits the character last last thing sorry, ik you did a poll and the community said full animatics were their perferred bit, but these style of videos with one panel at a time, they also excel as they get so much more out of one small art change. like ultimately there is five pieces of art here and going between them really signals when the tone changes in the song tl;dr: i still haven't seen the original top loader yet Edit: it's fucking vinesauce what the fuck

The lore of the original made ROM/video is somewhat like FNAF. A murderer murdered 3-5 kids and he made the game to give clues as to where he hid the bodies, and to reveal who was behind the murders, and after he leaves the game, he expired himself, but his soul got trapped in the ROM as Sonic, and the kids he murdered got trapped in as Eggman, who torment him in the game. But in this lyric video, I'm guessing the lore she was going for was that Eggman was pushing Sonic to insanity, then revealing that they werent real, in a game, and Sonic became self-aware. He tried to warn his friends about it all, but when they didn't listen, he became more insane, and killed two of them, possibly all. ("They all called me insane, and it triggered something in me a bloodlust" is where Im getting that from) But now that he has become self-aware, he is breaking the code(the glitching), and wants to escape and be real, but in the end, he becomes so insane and self-aware, that the code breaks, and in turn, breaks the whole game along with himself, his friends, and eggman, ending it all for them. At least thats my take on it all, and after you read this listen to it again and tell me what you think because I want to hear other peoples opinions and takes on the song as well

ik i'm 3 weeks late but during those three weeks i've been coming back to this song
there's just something about having this hero character in so much pain, questioning themselves on if they're even still alive, and if they're still right, denying all of it while somewhat confirming seeing a newcomer and feeling their soul's power, tries to cling just a little longer to escape. and then contrast that with an evil parasitic invader that just mocks everyone involved, playing with everyone as his actions causes the world more harm by using the main hero, even acknowledging that it is just that and that the newcomer is also an anomaly, taunting.
and then the hero sees the newcomer is surviving, and perhaps maybe he can escape, finally be free
and then is denied
And just, breaks after that, just pushing himself to break everything instead because if he's gonna be stuck hurting toiling with a parasite until the day he dies, then he's dying today. he still believes the newcomer is denying escape, destroying the world times two, and tries to destroy them too, but questions himself once again in final moments, before ultimately deciding to go through with it.
honestly great work and that's just concept, it's greatly executed, sonic's parts clear but eggmans part is also perfect for what it is, just the first part is my favourite with the slow build-up to the parasite reveal, but really the third section definitely was just so exciting to watch unfold. the use of pronouns (I and We) in some places were great as Eggman used them to refer to him and Sonic, but Sonic uses it next section to refer to him and BF when he thinks he can escape with him. also the one rhyme in the last section ('bloodshed' and 'head') really worked with the section's melody. last thing, the fact that god is refered to but not as Sonic is neat. Instead of the "I am God" schtick, it's "yeah he exists but it's not me" which really suits the character
last last thing sorry, ik you did a poll and the community said full animatics were their perferred bit, but these style of videos with one panel at a time, they also excel as they get so much more out of one small art change. like ultimately there is five pieces of art here and going between them really signals when the tone changes in the song

Hi! I don't know much about the lore of Top Loader other than the fact that it's related to Sonic.EXE. But I love this cover so much! Can someone please explain the lore tho?
It comes from a stream where Vinny Vinesauce corrupts a rom hack(?) called Somari to the point where the game kills Sonic, then uses the *Sonic Has Passed* ending level screen as a “funeral message” along with somber music.
my made up lore is basically just
games corrupting
robotnik's fault
corruption (referred to as a parasite/alien in-song) made sonic go bonkers
bf came in n' broke the game beyond belief
hence why all this happens

The lore of the original made ROM/video is somewhat like FNAF. A murderer murdered 3-5 kids and he made the game to give clues as to where he hid the bodies, and to reveal who was behind the murders, and after he leaves the game, he expired himself, but his soul got trapped in the ROM as Sonic, and the kids he murdered got trapped in as Eggman, who torment him in the game.
But in this lyric video, I'm guessing the lore she was going for was that Eggman was pushing Sonic to insanity, then revealing that they werent real, in a game, and Sonic became self-aware. He tried to warn his friends about it all, but when they didn't listen, he became more insane, and killed two of them, possibly all. ("They all called me insane, and it triggered something in me a bloodlust" is where Im getting that from) But now that he has become self-aware, he is breaking the code(the glitching), and wants to escape and be real, but in the end, he becomes so insane and self-aware, that the code breaks, and in turn, breaks the whole game along with himself, his friends, and eggman, ending it all for them.
At least thats my take on it all, and after you read this listen to it again and tell me what you think because I want to hear other peoples opinions and takes on the song as well
