I'm not sure where the most expensive is, but the university I went to has a recording studio with four control rooms spread around it, each of them over $250k each. It's an insane setup
I bought this early on, it’s good for just testing out ideas. I have used it to record vocals, but I still sent them out to be added to a track. Also it’s 8 tracks only so you have to use them wisely. 1 for the instrumental, lead, adlibs, and doubles if you need it. I’ve been waiting for auto tune also. But ultimately don’t buy this thinking you can live with out the real studio. Not yet at least.
Yea, my macbook with garage band / logic pro seems like it would be easier for me to record and edit etc than this thing..but the price point is probably the selling point here as my laptop is just as portable, if not easier to use, but a few thousand more.
Naa this episode isn't as your earlier one's, seems like a full-programmed ad.. Even the video editor isn't feeling the vibes seems like. Cause he is always up to the mark
This is a music note pad, great size and portable. Good for scratch tracks. I use a zoom H5 that doubles as an audio interface, plus 4 tracks, plus phantom power, plus field recorded, plus a mix down deck.
Can U provide the link for spire studio pro, cause I realize when I do the sound check it does nothing really. Follow my page too bra u were the one inspired me about the spire Instagram - shampoomusic
good for rough ideas but i still take my entire studio wherever i go in my bookbag lol only annoying thing is the pop filter.. laptop, mic, and interface is pretty easy to take around
Izotope is solid (mostly for their plug-ins) but a zoom does a good enough job. It's not that expensive either... I'd love for him to check out expensive studio equipment though.
@QuickQuips man if ur talkin bout the old school zoom all in one mpc lookin thing then I totally agree, first thing I ever used to record by myself because it was pretty self explanatory and simple to use, the one I had came with a disc drive where u could directly bounce the song to cd but mine never worked lol, I would connect a monster cable from the zoom to my laptop and send the vocals to ProTools that way, that thing was dope!!!
No the most reasonably priced item was the magnetic weed storage box that look like a book. Plus that product was actually good enough to consider buying.
spire studio actually is very solid and is constantly improving - the beat that was played was a bit wack to say the least - but you can cook up fire with this device alone - Best part of video is the possibility of iZotope cooking pitch correction/auto-tune into the vocal fx
I've been watching this since the debut a few years ago. It was almost ready for launch...$300 I believe. I was never sure if there is a drum machine on board... if not, the Zoom R8 looks better for my use. And the Tascam DP03sd even though no drum machine, I play drums... The Spire did something cool like upload your finished music to platforms for public consumption?
Ngl I'd buy it exactly for the mobilty of it it seems like it would work then i could bounce out the track and mix on the laptop soo this seems feasible
For the ppl saying the title is click bait and he didn’t even use the device, did u even watch the vid? He recorded a whole song. It was called “yeah yeah yeah true”.
Audio Bluetooth has high latency . You have to plug it in to make it work you can do that with any usb mic or any other audio interface an mic of your choose . You still have to use the Same camera connector for any of these . Blue tooth midi is great low latency but audio the technology isn’t ready for multi tracking or even monitoring what you are recording
What’s ironic is that anyone who knows anything about the music business knows that $300 is like the least amount of money you will ever spend on something. That’s 1/4th of the cost of the microphone that Billy Eilish records with; Half the cost of a Pro Tools perpetual license; 1/8 the cost of a Macbook pro. This content doesn’t belong on most expensivist- it is a straight up advertisement!!!
I just got into FL. Studio and I am from the OL school. I have my limits Not! I like to at least still hook up screens to separate all my virtual gadgets an equipment, It looks good. Oh, I was riding with Star Trek ever since it's premier 😎😁
Can you create your own beats on it? I had a Zoom R8 about 2years ago, but you had to use the beats the machine had, you couldn’t create your own, only choose from the machine”’s selection of beats. You could speed them up, slow them down, etc. but not create your own. Also, can you loop vocals like they do in a lot of EDM, and hip hop songs? Loop short phrases, words, etc.?
This is great to start the ball rolling on making a song. If you want to boost it then you can go to a studio and have your engineer add on to it. But if you can you can complete it on your own if you know how to master music.
This sort of tech is great. Hopefully one day it gets rid of these corporations and their oversexulized and devil worshipping visions they chose to display, rather then the artist, actually being their own artist. Also the money they steal from these artist is horrendous and even worse, they own all your music forever. We as a population should try to focus on removing corporations bit by bit. Just thinking outloud.
This ain't most expensivst. This an advertisement.
Yep
The most expensivst advertisement

Love the production value of this video but it seems more like a commercial for this product rather than Vice news.
After watching this, should rename to "Most Affordable"
I think it was a sneaky way to advertise the product 🤔
Where can I hear some spire music that's been released

Bought this 2 weeks ago. Sold CD out my truck yesterday and made 450. Already a 150 profit in just 1 day.

So a laptop isn’t considered portable anymore?
Sure, but which laptop includes a proper mic and audio interface for $300?
This thing is so cool! Wish I could see it more in action. Seems like something for a signer songwriter, colo artist, or small group and not bands.
I'm buying it if only just to say I have it..i like it seems neat!
The editing is so fucking hilarious
Old news. Thing is only good for wanting to work on the fly/out of home.
