I just discovered your channel. I have been cutting straight on a table. I knew the blades were going through the table, but I ignored it. Now I just picked up a cutting mat and it is so much better. Thank you!
Nice to meet you, Pong Krell! I am super glad to be able to help you with your cardboard crafting. I cut my cardboard on the carpet for a long time until I got a cutting mat. Like you said, a cutting mat is really nice and it improves everything about cutting cardboard by giving you cleaner and easier cuts and preserving the sharpness of your knife blades. God bless you! Best regards, - Eli Tennant
Yeah, dull blades make cutting cardboard a much worse experience. Every time I replace my blades I am a little surprised by how much easier it is to cut the cardboard. Have a blessed day! - Eli
I saw you on the VRA liver today and wanted to say Hi and show my support! I have to cut my wife's artwork borders and just use whatever Xacto blade I can get to get through it! See you online!
If I had to pick one tool for crafting cardboard, it would probably be a mini exacto knife. It's really hard to get fine detail without one. Thank you so much for commenting and God bless you! - Eli
haha, I never really thought of that but thank you for letting me know that it is possible to sharpen scissors. Perhaps I will do that sometime when my scissors get dull. God bless you, - Eli Tennant
I gathered all my scissors I stored away and had all 27 sharpened... Yeah, I don't throw my scissor away that's why I have an old 20 year old pair... LOL
Wow, that is a lot of scissors! I certainly don't have a 20 year old pair of scissors, but that is probably related to the fact that I am not 20 yet. lol Have a great day, - Eli Tennant

If I have big cuts to make I use an oscillator tool with a hook blade. It cuts accurate curves easily and goes very fast.
Nice! I have never used one of those but it sounds like a great option.
Have a blessed day!

I only use the special blades when my other blades are dull. When your blade isn't sharp it damages the cardboard. 🤗

Utility or serrated kitchen/tool scissors are the best alternative to regular scissors.
Those sound like some good alternatives, I should try kitchen scissors at some point.

Have you tried the Zyliss 3 Piece Paring Knife Set, they are great for cutting Cardboard.
I have not tried it, but thank you for sharing... I might check it out.

You can sharpen scissors... I've had scissors from over 20 years old to today's scissors sharpened... Just letting you know...
