Scott Sockett I mean it technically is. Even though it’s been re recorded, it’s not an original piece by them and hasn’t been written by them. It’s also the whole vocal from the original track, so is too much to be classed as a ‘sample’. It’s a remix

This song, although it uses the same notes and compositions from the original, uses different "instruments" and also vocals sung by a different artist. That's why I would have a hard time calling it a remix
