Is the hissing on all input sources or just one specific input? When installed correctly with the right installation interface there should be no loud hissing or static sound.
It is hard to diagnose the exact issue from here, but there are some things you can check. Hissing or noise on all inputs could be caused by a bad ground. It is a good idea to check the interface and wiring connections, especially the ground to make sure they are connected properly. I hope this helps!

Is there no way of illuminating the buttons to the left of the screen!? What I mean is the symbols and words, if that makes sense.... When hooking up this exact head unit I noticed that there is no orange wire for illumination! My that factory aftermarket harness that came with the the installation kit has that orange illumination wire but not the stereo itself....
In addition to the capacitive touchscreen monitor, the Kenwood DMX125BT offers five touch-sensitive buttons along the left edge of the screen. The button illumination is a fixed blue color.

No it does not. It offers screen sharing with android devices. But no further android auto stuff and no apps. Therefore you will have to take the DMX8019, but this one costs as twice as the DMX125

My dmx125bt Bluetooth audio quality is weak. Radio sounds better. Do you know if theres a fix for that issue ? Thanx
Reggie, bluetooth quality can be affected by the device you are using to play from, as well as the radio itself. What device are you using?

My FM reception is static. Wasn’t like that on the stock unit. I unscrewed the antenna from the roof and it made no different in reception.
Sometimes, vehicles have an antenna amp that needs to be turned on by the radio. What vehicle did you install this Kenwood receiver into?

Its a pretty hopeless product. The screen mirroring function doesn't work on my galaxy S9.
