sounds to me like you just made kawaii future bass from before kawaii future bass became too popular which made every single chord progression be exactly the same. but this is not supposed to invalidate what you are saying. maybe the genre has been renamed now to distance itself from common kawaii future bass. but it still makes me feel a bit like people are trying way too hard to make their music have a unique looking origin. this beat here, a beautiful beat btw, is something you could have heard on soundcloud 10 years ago. all these "core"-genres are not really genres. they don't have a new sound. they just encapsulate existing genres in a new aesthetic, which is why i call them meta-genres. so the real question is not, how to make digicore music, as that question has been answered a long time ago, but more like "what sets digicore's aesthetic apart from earlier aesthetics that had this genre in it?"
