I can't lie.. I started laughing at myself sounding like a goat during the E and A one. 😂 Thanks for this, hopefully it keeps my vocal chords healthy!
Haha 😂 you are welcome
My way
Sounding like a goat can have a positive and negative connotation 👀
I lost it at “mommy made me mash my m&ms” the first 😂. But it all became very helpful

Amodeus R. Oh
What a GIFT this is. I hope people realize it. I'm very grateful to find it. I'm a professional singer with Broadway credits. You'd think I'd have a million warm-ups recorded but I do not. I used to sing all day every day! Since the pandemic started, I haven't really felt much like it and have felt really depressed. At the moment I am recovering from abdominal surgery and it still hurts a little bit to breathe let alone sing! As soon as I can, I'll be doing these exercises because I need to get back to doing what I loved most! Thank you for providing this for free.

As a working rock singer this is my “go to” warm up in the car on the way to shows. I do well over 100 sessions and shows a year and I highly recommend this.
Cheers
What Do you Do for exercise?
Same! Always put this on before a show or studio session
Same here! Rock singing is pretty intense and I alwauys use this warmup on the way to practices and gigs. It's got the right balance :)
Me too!!!
My go to before I perform or even jam.
words cannot describe how stupid i feel doing this, but that's not gonna stop me from doing every day for the rest of the year
Be careful and take a day rest once in awhile to make sure not to strain ur voice

Use this before every rehearsal. Thank you!

i forgot how fun these r
Im glad you like it
I had the funniest thing happen to me while I doing this warmup...
Sometimes while I do this warmup I like to do some online gaming.
So my headphones are in, I'm playing the warmup and I'm singing 'Mommy made me mash my M&M's' at the top of my voice.
Then all of a sudden I can hear something over the warmup, confused I remove my earphones to notice that I'd left my microphone on and was singing directly into a party full of bemused people, who by the way are laughing their heads off and screaming 'Mommy Mommy Mommy' back at me.
Safe to say I've never turned off a game so quick it was funny and traumatising at the same time haha!
😂😂😂😂😂 at least you won't be as embarrassed any more. Nothing could top that.

It’s easy to want to turn this up loud but i highly recommend listening to it quietly as listening to it loudly, in my experience, has lead me to sing louder and strain my voice. Try listening at a volume you could easily talk over.
Plus, i think if you have it quiet, you can clearly hear your voice, so you know if you're starting to sound good and if you're getting better at controlling your voice
Gacha_Is_Gae totally agree!

Im a working classic rock, blues, and death metal singer. This is my go to before all practices and gigs.
How long have you been screaming and how much stress do you put on your voice when screaming?
@cursedegg1622 I've been screaming for around 27 years. I feel like I thrash my vocals more when I lean into hard singing than I do when I'm screaming. I use my diaphragm alot when I scream. When my stomach gets tired and sore, I use my throat more, and that's when my throat gets thrashed.
Thank u its since been 2 years i use your video and 5 years i sing (im 14 years old) you can upload a exercise of riffs and runs because the last are too easy for me sorry if my english is not well im french thankss👍👍 !!
Hey there! Im glad you like my riffs and runs exercises. Have you been through them all? I have quite a lot on the channel. I think there are like 20-30 different riffs and runs to work with. If you need more i would be happy to make more though.
Yeah thank u for replying i watch all of them
No problem 😉 so you want me to make more?
What did you like the most, the riffs and runs from actual songs or the ones i just made up?
For the moment the ones you made
Okay, great
- Beforehand: be hydrated, do stretches, stand straight, sigh, yawn, start focusing on your singing session, feel happy about doing it :-)
- Humming (softly!): activates your vocal cords (in case you haven't been speaking until now
- Mum: start projecting (feel the "m" vibrate your lips and open your jaw to "spit out" the
"ah"s)
- Lip roll: loosens your lips, warms up embouchure muscles, engages air flow control, massages your throat (beginner note: this is a skill in and of itself, don't be discouraged if you can't do it just yet!)
- Goog: raises your soft palate, requires you to maintain good embouchure, glottal attack further warms up muscles in your throat
- Beginner addition: throughout the entire warm up you train your muscle memory for volume and pitch (intervals) and your range. Aim for clean phonation and consistence. Get familiar with your singing voice.
- Intermediate addition: throughout the entire warm up you can train your mixed voice and improve your vowel shape and resonance as well as projection.
Happy singing everyone

@@JoeMama-fp4gc dont try to hit all the notes! this is a warm up for all vocal types, switch up and down the octave as you need! If you try and hit all the notes you may harm your voice!! That's great to hear!
HONESTLY, it worked for me and still still does. I started last June 2020 during COVID-19, and I can attest to the fact it helps develop singing techniques. I can reach notes now which I cannot hit before. And I can noticeably sing notes clearer than before. It is as if my notes were polished.
Wow! When I did this yesterday for the first time, I struggled at times with breath and with going for chest voice to head voice. My voice also felt a bit strained after. Today after the second time around I can already see a big improvement during the exercises and my voice now feels like I did some nice stretching before a workout! Awesome, thanks for posting! I’m going to start doing your voice workouts! I might have to do 4 hour sets 6 days a week for my next job, so I need to build up stamina.
