Until ddo I had never played a keyboard based game-and admit I am still a holdout on using keybinding. I use about 9-10 hotbars and play largely melee characters with less bars needed than say a caster. I know a couple of others who are “old school” and likewise don’t use keybinding instead relying on toggling “T” and mouse clicking. I’m worried if I lift my hand to use those numeric keys I’ll lose my movement keys…but I think it’s a good challenge to try it 🤍 thanks for the tutorial and encouragement. Most pro players rarely dive deep and show their set up so this detail is really appreciated thank you. Hotbars and handplay style and method are very personal.
I totally understand! I was definitely like that for the longest time and I definitely say keep playing with what makes you feel good. I dont think you have to use the numeric keys at all honestly, I usually keep my hand on the mouse during combat.
@@MysticMical hey Mical have you heard about people using a game pad to play ddo? I believe Mary (Death Smiles) does that and I was curious how that would work? Also I thought of an interesting topic that would be class/build based for newbie folks like me-looking at what keywords for equipment to look for. Maybe there is even a table or spreadsheet online that I’m unaware of? Example: I am playing a pure ranger casting paralyzing arrows in HC right now. I have discovered that “shadowy” items give diversion types, that “hasty” items can give doubleshot…”seething” is another good one. Anyway just tossing out ideas. You are providing some really useful content that is somewhat overlooked by other “pro-tip” players and I for one appreciate your work! Thanks again 🤍
I have seen posts about using a gamepad, I honestly have no idea. I would think it would be kindof like Witcher, where you have like a radial wheel to select different actions. Thats definitely a good idea, I'll look into prefixes and suffixes and see if it can be made into an easy to understand video. I feel like theres just more and more different item types now lol
that's one chill puppers
DUDE! So useful and presented simply. Wasted a boat load time fixing Ui's for new characters.....huge! Many 🙏 thanks.
I have been playing since beta and never knew I could put the Menu items on a hotbar LOL. Keep up these videos they are great for information.
15 years, and same
thank you very much, very useful 👍
Glad to hopefully give a little more insight!
Thanks for watching
I need to check if you can keybind hireling skills. For those times they forget how to heal and need explicit direction

my whole life has changed.
Great video... make some master's gifts!
I accidentally changed my tumble forward from shift+w. How do I set it back? I don't see anything like that on key bindings. Thanks.
Did you change your block per chance? Im looking too and dont really see anything
I feel your shortcuts and icons is somewhat littlers then mine... how do u that? I play at 1920 x 1080 resolution
I play on 2560 x 1440 that auto scales bars and icons I believe
@@MysticMical ooh thank u a lot! i was thinking how to resize the shortcuts xD
