Bioxi is a beautiful place, not sure I'd want to live there though with the hurricanes. But that is a chance you take when living off the ocean. The scenery you have shown is just gorgeous though! That is a beautiful Coliseum and it is such a shame that Elvis never got to meet June's daughter. Elvis and June sure looked like they had a great summer that year, oh to be young again! lol I will be sad to see this come to an end, it's been so interesting. Thanks for all for this series!

I think he had such a great relationship with June, she was a grounding touchstone amidst all the hype and glory. Just hard, I’m sure, because it seems like he needed someone to understand the lime light, as well as wanting the comfort and refuge of home. Regardless, June is truly a great lady 💜

Elvis was coming to Conn on the Portland Me tour .Would of loved to of attended that show .Iam not sure but I believe it was scheduled to be in New Haven. My cousin still has her ticket for that concert .

A good love story can really bring back memorie's, I remember finding my parent's love letter's just as I was beginning to read. I only got to see them that one time, I thought they were really sweet but my mom had other idea's and they were private to her. I don't blame her it was something special she didn't want to share. I didn't know better at the time but I'm a quick learner.🤗
Interesting to know Elvis was going to be the first at the Coast Coliseum, looks like Charley Pride turned out to be in Nov 77. My first show there was Alice Cooper on the 4th of July, 1978.

In June's book ELVIS IN THE TWILIGHT, she said he went on tour and didnt call her for months, spent Xmas with a Vegas showgirl at Graceland with his parents. Then oneday he was passing near town by train and called her to come back home with him to visit he had something to show her. She met him on the train and told him she was engaged to be married to another man, and then got off the train. Elvis never called her up after that nor tried to get her back. . She thinks he wanted to show her Graceland he just bought. But later on, she saw him at the movies with Priscilla, and he was very ecstatic to see June again. It was truely young 💕.
