You know what, I would be interested in this music having actual lyrics to it to see how it sounds

(Decent 6.5/10) Honestly, I think the music is good. Catchy but sounds a little off-key in some places along with it not matching with Violet's character. Maybe it was a test song when the musical was in pre-production.

From what I hear, the chord progression almost sounds like they used it for the Queen of Pop.

You're comment has literally made me realize this! The chord progression and timing of the lyrics is very much reminiscing of the verses and hook of Queen of Pop!

@@bryanperez51051:45 I know just what it needs for the last part: the Queen of Pop ending, because in the sheet music I saw, the original 2010 score, it was unfinished. I know how it ends.

Actually, I think it was for juicy.

Cus it when she transforms into a blueberry, and the song is named "the blueberry bounce".

TBH, Broadway should have added this song instead of When Willy Met Oompa as a replacement of Juicy (from the West End Production). That’s just my opinion!

You could say that something similar is happening now, since although they replaced Juicy! with When Willy Met Oompa, currently When Willy Met Oompa was also replaced by You Got Whacha Want in the Broadway version and honestly I think it's much better since I feel it fits better and also unlike the version from the UK tour, this song also has its own version for Broadway.

I'm glad this song never saw the light of day. It kinda sucks, the melody sounds like some sort of christian jazz music which would not have fit violet's character whatsoever, and it's really, really not on par with the other oompa loompa songs. I'm glad juicy replaced it before previews even happened

I think Juicy! was another option they had as they were playing with different ideas of whether Violet could be used as a disco ball "Juicy" or a basketball "The Blueberry Bounce". It is possible that the UK tour also declined this song because while they do the Violet basketball thing, they rewrite it as a variation of Juicy. I don't think this song is as strong in terms of catchiness or melody.

@@bryanperez5105 i really don't hear juicy in you got whacha want except the one part where they reuse a verse from it, albeit modified. "listen to the story of violet b, she doesn't have a talent as far as we can see, but she never ever listened, she only would chew, so maybe she'll be famous now for just turning blue"

@@bryanperez5105Well, the basketball choreo plus the Juicy music made a whole new number in the UK Tour. You got whatcha want.

I feel like the piano music made it sound like Christian jazz. I think if would’ve been life Hip-Hop, or disco.
