Given that King Knight is the most similar to an actual knight, it makes sense that this song makes me think of a knight (more likely, a knight-errant) on some quest, accompanied by some other knights and men-at-arms.
Perhaps it was gold leaf, or paint? That would still make you a big bright target for arrows and crossbow-bolts, along with being ludicrously expensive. Well, that is one more thing I can add to my list of "things that are historically inaccurate in Monty Python's 'Quest for the Holy Grail."

It’s cause he’s a fake king who stole the actual king’s castle and kicked him out. The version in SoT is called “In The Halls of the King” because it’s a prequel and King Knight only recently took over the castle.

I love how in Plague Knight's feat section, you have to defeat a member of The Order of No Quarter without taking Damage...
Except from King Knight!!!
It's the opposite for me. So far, King Knight is the only boss I've been able to beat no damage (with either Shovel or Plague Knight.)
