    Awesome plane! With a slower final and full flaps and a longer (F-16 like) nose-high approach your rollout can be shortened tremendously! I've learned a lot flying this one, she's one of my favorites. Very robust gear and body as a whole! Glad to see the second thoughts video on this one!

    Love my Yak! I bought it after watching your review and I’ve taken over 40 flights now on a shortly trimmed but pretty bumpy field. The trailing links handle the bumps unbelievably well

    Brian and Megan, I bought one of these from a flying buddy, with an extra set of wings and canopy batt hatch. He removed the fan to install in a FA,-18, so I purchased a JP fan but they never seem to have the recommended ESC for it. I kept looking at those wings and Canopy sitting all alone and decided to purchase spare parts to make another one and repaint it to the gray fighter version with all the ordnance eventually as they are still in LA and I am in Idaho now. Another trip later this year.

And last but not least, amazing job to your camera crew (wife) for capturing every bit of the wonderful footage!!

      Thanks you Dame!!! Glad you're here with us, and glad you can enjoy the flying. To be honest, flying like this is just a matter of practice, once you get the basics down...and anyone who has the basic skills to fly can work into better an better skills with repetition, and practice, but don't think of it as a bad thing...the practice is so much fun too!!!

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The planes that come with Reflex don't need to be programmer, but you're looking for "Unbox, Build, and Radio Setup" video, which is in the playlist for this one. Hope this gets you where you need to be, and thanks for stopping by!

    Love this plane! I see fms recommends around a 3200 mah 6s, what would be the difference between that and a 4000mah like the one your using?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lighter plane will fly different. Might be able to get in for smoother landings, but might not be able to get the CG back as far too...I can't say with loads of specificity, since it's been a little bit since I flew this one.

    • @mazpr2025
      @mazpr2025 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get away with a 5000 mAh, just have those flaps dialed. More weight will be noticeable when flying because it will feel as if it's getting off your hands. With a lighter battery will climb with authority, will feel more snappy and in control in exchange of flying time.
      I fly mine with a 4000 and sometimes a 5000 (usually on windy days to have more lift and flies more floaties.

    Brian, do you have a video on setting up AS3X on a PNP Jet? And what gain means and how to use it please? Oh and also how to connect telemetry correctly…possibly you have a video or I’m not searching deep enough into some of the set up vids? Thanks 🙏 for everything Megan and Brian.

    • @TriumphDoc
      @TriumphDoc 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Like your discussion at about minute 13:30; with reflex AS3X and telemetry and the hardware you need to make it all work…that’s like Japanese to me at this stage but I’m dying to understand it all because I’ve crashed an expensive Freewing F16 twice trying to make it work from PNP (crashed terribly without gyro) to then putting in my own AS3X receiver and still crashing the shit out of it as well! 😢
