The 8 o'clock coffee brings back the wonderful smell of the coffee grinders in the A&P supermarket! Your bodysuit and skirt are wonderful - you're probably not in a hurry for cooler weather to wear them after all the years you spent in cold places but you're ready when it gets a little chillier where you are now with a wonderful new look. Denise the Sloth Sewist is indeed a lot of fun! Thanks for the reminder about the leather needles for faux leather - I have some pleather but haven't tried it out yet so that was good to know.
YES Mary! I love that 8 O'Clock coffee! My absolute favorite and brewed in a percolator is the best! I hope to wear my bodysuit and skirt this holiday season as things cool down. The bodysuit is great with jeans too! I highly recommend that pattern. Definitely use the leather needles on the faux leather. The machine will sew very smoothly! Thanks for your comment. Have a GREAT week! 🥰
Hi Grace!! Thank you so much for the shout out, I truly do appreciate it❤❤❤❤😊!!!!!! I love your top with lace, it is so gorgeous 😍!!!!! Your faux leather skirt is gorgeous 😍 too!!!! Enjoy the warm weather Grace, here, in upstate South Carolina, it is 🥶 cold. We have a cold front coming through here. Love the McCall's patterns that you picked up.
Thanks Denise!! I appreciate it. 🥰🥰❤🧡💚💙It's chilly here in the mornings but the days are warm. I hope you keep warm. Can't wait to see your makes. Have a great weekend! 💖💖💖
@@sewlovelywithgraceHI Grace!!! I am glad that it warms up. Today is a better day here in South Carolina because it is beginning to warm up in the afternoons. This weekend consists of working on our land (putting up gates and a fence). I cannot wait to do a video of all my makes, so I can reveal what I am working on behind the scenes 😊. Thank you, you have a great weekend too😊!!!!
Hi Grace, what a beautiful outfit, the colors match perfectly 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏👏. Wow, that cape pattern is beautiful 🤩 🤩. You will be the best dressed at the parties🥰🥰🥰💞💞💞
Thank you Karen. I appreciate that. I want to let you know I posted on your video first thing this morning and the comment disappeared. I just reposted again. Please let me know if you got it. Thanks so much! 💖💖❤❤🥰
Grace, love love love your outfit. Also, love how you give extra hints. Like don't use pins with making the skirt. Make sure you use leather needles. Perfect!😘
Awww thanks Jane! Not sure where to wear the outfit here in Florida. Still too warm. Maybe out to dinner some night in December or January. Thanks so much! I like to be helpful too in my videos! Thanks for always watching and commenting. 💕💕♥♥🧡
Grace, I ❤ the outfit. You put together outfits so well . I also love the different textures you chose and pulled it all together. Love the shoes with that outfit too… so sexy.
Beautiful outfit!! You ate gonna be the BEST DRESSED this fall! Your coffee always looks ao delicious. Im thinking I should go back to beans too. Thanks for keeping us up to date on pattern sales!!❤
Thanks Trish, I'm making these Fall outfits. I need a place to wear them to. LOL!! Nothing like fresh ground coffee beans for each pot! Tom likes to make the coffee and I am spoiled. I only use Keurig coffee pods when we're out of beans. I will always let you know of a pattern sale when I am aware. Have a great weekend! 🥰💖
Lovely combination, Grace! I especially love the lace at the top of the body suit. It's perfect for the autumn weather! Those are some great patterns, too! I'm looking forward to my next trip to Lincoln the first weekend in November and I'm watching for you to announce from the flyer what the sale is going to be (hopefully there is one!)😄
Thanks so much Lara! 😊 That lace made all the difference. I will definitely let you know of the next pattern sale as soon as I become aware of it! I'm sure there will be another one. Have a great weekend!
Yes! I need to find the right fabric. I want to see how Talisha's looks. She bought the pattern and the giraffe fabric. I can't wait to see hers. Thanks so much Sofia! 🥰🥰
Denise is right! Keep trying until you get it right.😅😅😅 That outfit is perfect! Leather & Lace! Grace, I went to Syracuse University. I spent 5 years there!😂 I was very inspired.❤❤❤
Wow Zelda! My husband graduated from SU and I lived in Baldwinsville, Liverpool and Clay from 1987 - 2000. Cold, grey and snowy all the time. We still have family there!! Now I'm in sunny Florida! Gotta love those Vintage stirrup pants! I'm glad you were inspired! 🥰🥰🥰 Denise is lots of fun!! 😃
Carmen Salome' has her patterns sorted into Sterilite (?) drawers. Won't fit large Vogue patterns. She did a sewing room tour last year or so. You can see it there. The drawer container comes in different sizes, so if you want your patterns to sit 2 across in the drawers, you'll have to get the 33" x 21" x 15.5" size. The thing is, if you have a lot of patterns, the weight can be a bit much for a lot of patterns in for one drawer. Jen (Today in Jen's sewing room) files her pattern covers in binders and the pattern pieces in envelopes. She also has a video or two re: her system. Eventually, I will be using Jen's system because I have so many patterns and would like to be able to see them via a binder system (dresses and tops, pants and skirts, men's and children's, crafts, etc.). After you find the pattern style you want, you go to your numbered pattern and pull the envelope. (All patterns regardless of brand are filed in numerical order.) Good luck! BTW: A matching skirt with black lace down both sides would be really pretty with your top! ❤
Thanks Dori, I like the idea of lace down both sides of a matching skirt! Wow! I've seen Jen's video. I'm leaning towards Carmen's drawer system. Tom and I were looking on Amazon today and I think I may have found something that will work. I want a type of Joann drawer system by Company by Number and then a spreadsheet that sorts by category etc. I have a system in mind. I will definitely do a video on it if I find something that's workable. Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely check out Carmen's video. Have a great weekend! 💖
Hi Grace. Currently, I have my patterns stored in banker's boxes by brand and in numerical order. It's nice, but not very convenient. I have all my patterns listed by brand on Excel worksheets. The columns are listed by: number, date (sometimes pattern numbers are reused by the company), age range (child, adult), category (men, women, girl, boy, craft), size range (or One Size), Garment Type (dress, pants, pajamas, window treatments, etc.), and Notes (for anything else). It was a lot of work initially, but I had time during the 2020 pandemic. Since buying new patterns at the various JoAnn's sales, I enter all the column info before putting the patterns away. With an Excel workbook, I can quickly see if I have a particular pattern via the brand worksheet tab, then by the pattern number. However, if I quickly want to see a picture of the pattern, I have to go online to eBay and plug in the brand and number, or on Simplicity's website (only if it is a current pattern will a photo come up). 95% of the time, someone is selling that pattern on eBay, so that's the fastest method to see a photo. I found that there is no one perfect system with respects to pattern organization. Jen's binder system is the closest if you decided you want to make a top or dress using a pattern you already own. For patterns that have various coordinates, you have to make a few copies of the pattern envelope on your printer/copier and file accordingly. Hope this helps! I would LOVE to have the space for a couple of JoAnn type of pattern drawers, but most sewists don't. To stand up to the drawer weight, as well as the wear and tear, I would suggest buying metal cabinets. The cabinets at the newer JoAnn's stores are already falling apart. The store nearest me is only a year old and the pattern cabinet drawers are having mechanical and material failures. No surprise, right??? @@sewlovelywithgrace
@@SewAndTellwithDori Wow Dori! Your system is closer to what I think I'm looking for. I found metal cabinets similar to Joann's on Amazon.
