I think the unexplained glass may have been from Karen's drink that night. I think that it was planted by Proctor. I think he never stopped to think that if the smaller pieces were there then the rest should be there. I think he was scared of what csi would find on JO's clothes. I think that is why there is unexplained glass there. I think when JO was attacked he was carrying the glasses in with him from the car/bar

Before the last trial I told people not to cheer it coming. Because the truth wasn't going to come out. Not to cheer injustice.
I tried to tell people all the tricks Lally would pull. Including making a witness disappear. Including the exculpatory evidence we now know he hid from the defense until after trial. Proctor's work phone records.
Including the 3rd party defense trick the judge pulled on the defense. Whenever judges do what Bev did. They have no intention of allowing the defense. They just want the defense to make promises to the jury the judge is going to make damn sure they don't get to fulfill. I've seen that trick. It's always pulled on innocent defendants. It was used in the Russ Faria trial too.
I hate this case. Because Lally and the judge ran it like they had the same crooked trial Cliff's Notes. Lally was a predictable hack. The judge was a predictable hack.
But somehow people didn't see it coming. I know Mark doesn't want to criticize another attorney before he's seen him do anything. But he shouldn't be getting people's hopes up this will be a fair trial.
Let's face it. Morrissey didn't hire this guy to be ethical and moral in court. Morrissey hired this guy because he expects him to pull all the dirty tricks Morrissey wants pulled.
I'd bet the whole reason why Morrissey brought in this guy. Is because Lally couldn't play stupid like last time. They need a new guy to pretend they don't know the key cycle was wrong. They need a new guy to pretend he doesn't know when Karen gets home.

Corruption is the way of the world. It's just how it's always been. It's how it will always be.
During WW2. FDR's son was running around partying it up with contractors. He was involved in the big Spruce Goose scandal. Where government money bought washed up Hollywood starlets for FDR's son. The "greatest generation".
Back in the age of Rome. Corruption was just as rampant as today.
Hell I think everyone should learn about the South Sea Company stock scam that happened in the early 1700s. It was like a modern day huge stock scandal. The King and parliament sold royal debt to this company. They put out fake news to drive up the stock price. In the end Blunt, the King and parliament got out before the stock crashed. Making tons of money. While the little people got left holding the bag and empty promises of "justice" that would never come.
This predated America as anything but a colony.
For some reason people think today's corruption is something special. It's not. It's just the shit people notice because it's going on right now. Future generations will forget about the corruption happening now. Just like people have forgotten about WW2 corruption, Roman corruption, and the South Sea Company stock scam.

Gotta say this idea is unlikely to happen, given the govt's tragic handling of this case so far, but I can imagine Brennan announcing in a few months that the case will not be further pursued. @@annm9589 I also doubt it. But we've gotta admit there's a lot of podcast chatter about how surprising it is that this particular special prosecutor is being brought in. If I were Brennan, the only way I would do the job would be if I have in writing that I have sole authority over the case, including deciding to seek dismissal if, in my professional opinion, that is the just and proper way forward. If he were to dismiss, we would suddenly understand that it may be why he was brought in to begin with.
