Fantastic performance and interpretation. Beautiful tone. I started studying cello on my 70 birthday, 3 years and 4 months ago. And learned this piece along with La Cinquantaine, over the last 4 months, but without vibrato.
I started playing the cello 3 months ago and when I saw this I nearly cried. 1. out of joy and beauty that someone so young can already express such emotion with the cello. 2. because this 8 year old is leaps and bounds ahead of me. Huge props kid. keep practicing and blow it out of the water!!
I started playing six months ago as well I don't think I will ever be as good as he is. I am amazed how well he plays and his concentration for such an early age.
Remmember, that's always gonna be the case. There's always gonna be someone who is better, younger, who did it before, who did it better, etc. If we were to stop doing because of that then we wouldn't do anything. Not that you are saying that it's just that this keeps coming everytime I see the comment section on someone video that I felt the need to say something. Plus, the semester is done and I'm just chilling with nothing better to do LOL. But seriously think about it. If you were to stop learning things because of that then we would learn to swimg be hey there he is Michael Phelps... We wouldn't run because hey there he is Bolt... We wouldn't play Cello because there is Yo Yo Ma or whoever

I have to perform Humoresque in 2 months as a solo and this video inspired me, someone who is twice the age of this kid, to actually prefect the song and play it how it's made to be played instead of playing it wrong. Yay
