Trust me I feel the same, I have such anxiety with driving. I got my permit when I was 29 and my license at 34 and just started officially driving Nov. at 36.

And the anxiety you had towards it makes me feel so much better about how I feel towards it. 16 about to be 17 and I can take the practical test anyday but driving feels so scary. It seemed as if my friends have already gotten so good and used to it. It terrifying me. I will be working to getting my license and driving small distances this summer.

I was an absolute NERVOUS WRECK when it came to driving but since finally just taking the drivers test and getting out on the road by myself, it becomes second nature. I think you should try just know that it will be a very big adjustment since you’re used to homeschool but it’s not impossible. I relate to that I was home school most of my junior year until I graduated early and decided to go to college in person. I go there everyday and feel like I don’t belong and feel alone even though I’m around a lot of people.

I was in my late 20’s when I got my license to drive. When I first got my license that I drove towards my father’s job as a park ranger to get a park sticker for the following year. Even getting my 1st cell phone in a couple days later. This was in mid December 1999 when I got my driver’s license and cell phone.

Once my dad took me to the BMV to take my test to the moment I got my drivers license the same day I dropped him off at home and drove to school immediately. I was ready and determined to not be nervous the whole drive. It felt good. and people have been riding my butt to, but hey, if they hit me that's on them I always have my dashcam ready.
I’ve been feeling like I sleep a lot during home school ._. i watched your other videos and i’m the exact same way i have such a hard time being productive i basically stay in bed all day:c im new to home school this year and i’m debating about going back to regular school or to straighten out my life.. what do u do when you feel this way? i get like 15 hours of sleep during the day ~_~ i have no friends and i feel very alone while at home alone all the time.. i had friends my freshman year no drama i just wanted to try home school.. but i just feel very depressed in bed all the time buttttt!!!! freshman year in person school i got sick 7 times well that was bc i was stubborn and didn’t wear a mask but this year home schooled i got sick once! do you think i should go back to in person for my junior year? or should i stay how i am and spend more self time for myself to heal my aloneness
Obviously it is totally up to you but from what you’ve said I think you’d have a much better time going back to in person school!! Online school isn’t for everybody and that’s ok! I transferred because in person school made me very depressed, but from what you’ve said, it sounds like you’re the opposite. I’ve never thought about going back to to in person, I honestly hated it, but I think since you’re questioning it, you should go back. Online school has made me much happier even though I do struggle sometimes. For you, it doesn’t sound like online school has made your life easier or happier, and I believe that people need to do what makes them the happiness even if there are some downsides. You may get sick a few times while you’re transferring back into the in-person atmosphere, but I think you having friends and leaving your house is very important, and worth it. Again, it’s totally up to you, but from what you’ve said, I think, transferring back is the right choice for you

yeah so basically you just find your states online school (there’s normally a few) just by looking online! I recommend finding one with the best rating, A being the best. Then you just enroll into that online school when enrollment starts and talk with your current school about transferring credits :) it’s pretty simple, and thank you
you have the seat belt in the lower position, raise it up, the closer the neck it sits the safer it is, if you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it can hurt you instead
I’m gonna be honest, starting to drive is quite nerve wracking but it definitely gets easier. I never believed anyone when they told me that, I thought I’d always be an anxious driver but once I started to drive by myself, I finally became comfortable!! I wouldn’t say it’s hard though, the hardest part is overcoming the fear of driving itself. I know it’s cliche, but you really just have to put the car in drive and just go and you’ll become more comfortable with more practice

It’s totally totally valid to be nervous, especially around other cars!! Just remember that EVERYONE drives, old and young, everyone just has places to get to. Once you get that hang of it, it becomes sooooo easy, I promise 🫶

I started driving at 22 and now 28. Still haven’t passed my test after 3 times but you should definitely get in car and try.
