Experiencing my first pour of Lalo blanco. After nosing it for the first time, I couldn't help closing my eyes and shaking my head in disbelieving admiration. Yeah, it's one of those experiences. I go from sipping best-buy tequilas like Arette and La Gritona, because money has been tight, to something like Lalo and I am reminded how sublime the next level tequila can be. I had a bottle of Tequila Ocho Plata last year and it has been too long since I experienced a tequila on that level. Always nice to be reminded how beautiful tequila can be.
G4 and Forteleza are impossible to get. They’re actually distributed by a beer company by the name of Burke. But we’re able to order Volans and ArteNom from Burke. ArteNom is one of the best Blanco’s. Volans people don’t even know about, yet they make great tequila’s. Love Volans
Fortaleza and G4 are considered allocated at this point. I was able to score 2 bottles of Fortaleza blanco for $80 each by asking the guy behind the counter if they have it.
@@dekulruno I actually was able to get some G4 Blanco and G4 Reposado. Still have it at my store. Just sits on the shelf, because nobody knows what good tequila is. I would say Cascahuin Tahona is one of my favorite Blanco’s. I’m getting 4 cases on Tuesday
Hey lui brotha I found fortaleza so I bought 6 bottles and I bought the winter edition as well and a bottle of cazcanes blanco and repo You are the truth keep it up brotha
Just picked up Mijente blanco and Primo blanco. Lalo is on my “must try” list. Favorite blanco so far has been Volcan, but havent been able to find another bottle 😢
I'll have to keep a lookout for these, I do not think I've seen them locally (Tampa). Just picked up a few bottles of Fortaleza, G4 and El Tesoro laphroaig so I'm probably good for a bit lol!
Hi my friend Lui, good to see this video! I don’t drink tequila neat and just get the Jimidor Blanco and Repasado for occasional tequila cocktails. I prefer generally the gin, rum and whisky/bourbon/ rye based drinks. However, I do retain 2 Cachacas and Mezcal and Pisco, the Mezcal used more frequently. How do you feel about your football team this season? Mine is going very well and will probably win. Such a season similar to when Leicester won. The usual teams not doing so well and my team flying! Nick from York
Nick! I was thinking about you and arsenal the other day actually. I'm very excited about the direction United are going in. Have been playing really well. I'm thinking Arsenal look different this season in terms of mentality. I think They will win. I've said it to my friend the other day, even if United finish 15th but the owners sell them, that'll be a successful season in my opinion.
Lui love your videos, you got me on a great tequila kick. Have you ever heard of Don Viejo extra anejo. My wife's friend got a bottle for us in Cancun at the international jewelry exchange. Love it but can't find it anywhere. I just notice on tequila matchmaker that Mi Familia looks the same, bottle, label and NOM number. Are they the same?
I’m starting to wonder what’s the point of watching Lui’s videos about tequila and mezcal which is essentially impossible to buy. Love the cocktail videos
So I've heard nothing but amazing things about Primo but haven't tried it myself yet. Tho I'll have to disagree with you on the price. $58 is pretty good for a well made bottle of tequila.
@@Lui_Fern When you actually see a glimpse of the love and effort that is put into a tequila like Primo or anything out of El Pandillo, i agree. However, since G4 also comes from there and is $42 (and my ABSOLUTE favorite Blanco thanks to your recc. as well as a comparable El Tesoro at $46) id say it is still pricey. I have tried nearly 2 dozens tequilas thanks to you and all but 2 have been over $50 (for me in CA).
@@Godfatherjrt i love all of the stuff that I've tried that comes from El Pandillo. G4 is also one of my top 3! But i see your point. Especially if it's a bit more expensive than the G4

@Lui Fernandes I know and brother I have watched that one! I have tried the Olmeca, which *chef kiss* is excellent but I haven't been able to find the other two yet 😞 I tried Cimmaron though which is a good value option too.
It's Been a while since I've watched this video back but modern can be a brand that doesn't have too much family history of making tequila, it can be one that embraces new ideas and modern techniques. Maybe not the best word choice on my end probably as it's not very descriptive
Almost every single one is. I don't like or drink additive filled tequilas but some brand just haven't been confirmed or just don't care enough to get confirmed but yeah for the most part they are additive free.
@@Lui_Fern okay that is awesome! I've been sticking to my good old 1800 😂 here where I am in Canada it is very limited. There is no additive free tequilas here. But I am going to the states and am going to bring some back. I was thinking of el tequileno and tequila ocho
Sorry but you haven't try my family tequila. We are small and my mom the owner and the " Tequila Azule imperial" not to be confused with the other Azul. You're is kosher
There's a brand here based out of Kansas City called mean mule. I was on the fence with it because I'd describe the flavor almost as shoe leather but at the same time I think that's like the exact taste some of y'all be chasing after trying some recommendations 😂😅 Aggressive flavor. I might be a b*itch but I like mine a lil smoother myself but still ya know. Its the closest tasting to Fortaleza I have found... I'll be honest I hated Fortaleza. Got the reposado for my birthday and I had to choke it down. It was just to much.
Definitely wanna try the montagave next I feel like. For new years I got a bottle of avion CRISTALINO añejo and was kinda messed up it was clear. (they miss informed me on why it was clear cause they said nothing about it being charcoal filtered twice, rather it was only aged in a metal drum) but was still amazing. So on the same not a gold Mezcal sounds just as Interesting.
I will say it kind of threw a red flag when he said what he liked most was the story. I prefer to buy the tequila, not the story. Okay, Santo Fino gets my attention because of its connection to Sammy Hagar, but if it wasn't 100% agave and additive free I'd leave it on the shelf with all the other celebrity tequilas. Lalo's story? His grandfather made tequila and now he does, too. "What do you like about this brand?" "The nepotism, baby!" But hey, if it's a quality product, awesome, I generally can't discourage supporting a higher quality product over a lower quality product .
