Ok I love Kelly and I love her powerhouse voice and all of her songs and I love her positive, peppy personality and her humor. But this song, this favorite song of mine from Miranda Lambert - I just think Miranda does it best. It’s a song about pain and heartache. When Miranda sings it, it’s quiet and broody and sad and just exudes heartbreak. When Kelly just sang it, it sounded like an upbeat pop song ..🙁. Love Kelly’s voice (she can just sail through ANY song it seems without even barely trying) but I don’t think she did justice to this song ..

I absolutely love Kelly! Amazing vocalist, great personality and super humble! I typically love every performance I see. However, the big, loud notes take away from the subtle lyrics of this song. Miranda Lambert has a distinctive and unique voice which no one can replicate,so I don't think anyone can do justice to Miranda's songs,I don't like this version at all.
Not as good as Miranda's version and I am not a fan of either. Not a fan of country music. Nothing against either singer. I watched the video of MIranda's performance of this at the awards show months ago and it was lovely, haunting. One of the best songs I've ever heard. Miranda was feeling it. That made it more beautiful when she sang it. I watched the video several times since then. It was that good. Kelly's song Piece by Piece is the same. It is hers and no one else will sing it quite as well as Kelly did on American Idol.
Kelly sings this song well, but Miranda saangs this song. To me, this song isnt supposed to have belting high notes plus you dont get that emotion with Kelly🤷♂️

Miranda Lambert has a distinctive and unique voice which no one can replicate,so I don't think anyone can do justice to Miranda's songs,I don't like this version at all.
Not as good as Miranda's version and I am not a fan of either. Not a fan of country music. Nothing against either singer. I watched the video of MIranda's performance of this at the awards show months ago and it was lovely, haunting. One of the best songs I've ever heard. Miranda was feeling it. That made it more beautiful when she sang it. I watched the video several times since then. It was that good.
Kelly's song Piece by Piece is the same. It is hers and no one else will sing it quite as well as Kelly did on American Idol.
Kelly sings this song well, but Miranda saangs this song. To me, this song isnt supposed to have belting high notes plus you dont get that emotion with Kelly🤷♂️

I argue with you about Kelly over-singing all the time (not just this cover). Sometimes simple is best. But I disagree about emotion. I think Kelly emotes emotion just fine.
