as a vikings fan, i feared the lions because they're a "never say die" kind of team. but for the defense to stop them, kirk/kj scoring a touchdown, and the defense stopping them again to end the game was incredible

Nice stuff from both teams. As a Lions fan, they “snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.” But really an entertaining game with a few weird coaching decisions and a few missed opportunities from both teams. Both teams were out there giving it what they had 👏 Cudo’s to both 🏈👍👍.
Watching the game, when the Lions got the ball back with ~3 minutes left, I said, “if they lose this game, it’s because they got conservative to solely try and burn clock HOPING to pick up a first” and that’s exactly what happened. Instead of playing soft, keep up the aggressiveness and pick up the yards. They’re were flowing all game. That stopped all momentum.
This lions offense is getting TD’s like crazy. So much so, that we’ve even set a record with 11 straight quarters with a TD. Out defenses has to follow up with that and get stops though.
They had 3 drives late, all they needed to do was score a TD on one of them and the game would have been over. Some really puzzling third down calls by the OC too. 3rd and 8 and you throw a 20 yard pass down the sideline when crossing routes had been working all game and are a much higher percentage? The Defense is going to take the hit on this one from a lot of fans, but the offense got conservative when they needed another score and a lot of that is on the play calling. Oh, and Craig Reynolds has 1 less carry than Swift? They keep talking about an ankle injury but they are still throwing him the ball and he looks pretty explosive when he's in. That doesn't make sense either. I like Reynolds but he's no Swift. If he's really that banged up he can only take 7 carries and a handful of passes they need to sit him down and get him healthy.
It takes some time for a team to get in rhythm with new schemes on both sides of the ball, going from defensive HC to offensive HC... the fact they're winning now is a good sign. It will get better for sure

As a Detroit fan I went back to see how we lost, and we had so many opportunities to put this game away. Very poor clock management and play calling at the end killed us. Hopefully the coaches look at this for the next game we play the Vikings coming up this week.

Lions should of used play action on that 4th down play with 3:30 left dumb running play to the left,they had 8 men in the box with the safeties creeping up, possibly could have been a play action touchdown at least a first down
