Science is based on data which has always been based on what we have seen in the past and how that can consistently show us what will happen in the future. So to show that science has failed in the past, even the recent past can not, based on science be a fallacy.
Morals and Ethics are a social contract that can be failed or interrupted, therefore not a binary delimiter and thus an untrue calculus of a determinate agreement for the basis of communication. I wanted to put "!" but I can't imagine it would read well.
Morals and ethics can be a good basis of communication. Unconsciously choosing to tell the truth, to reply honestly, can be a show of a moral/ethical character.

great discussion but the star example annoys me - it doesn't take much belief that something exists multiple times can exist somewhere else in lower and higher numbers ... its an information entropy thing The best argument for the religious people is that we need a way to deal with the unknown and the unknowable but probably the unknown can now be handled quite well by science and is improving. religion should focus on empirical good base rules and not claim to be the freakin top of the world - and in any case should stop forcing their members in paying them. Love D'Souza's climate change bit - have some reason! Clearly the market has a different opinion than what climate media would have us believe what the con-sense is. Most climate alarmists have not the faintest clue how insanely difficult it is to measure temperature reasonably. If you look into the technical, undisputed difficulties of measuring temperature "on average" (whatever that is supposed to mean), you gotta have some doubt this is in the knowable area of things. Some climate researches apparently managed to be surprised that the plants grow faster now with more greenhouse gases ... stuff like that worries me ^^

Believe is not Knowing, Matt is saying give me naturalistic evidence for what is intrinsic a non naturalistic. Dinesh is saying: the evidence is pure rationalization and confidence in the inference we can filosophically arrive
Dinesh got Dillahunty Dodged... big time.
They always talk about anything else but proving god exists
It’s because they have no actual argument. It’s always go off topic or try to misinterpret the point.
Non-falsifiable assertion is our friend.
Thats because EVERY single god claim/miracles etc , when properly, precisely
( not airy fairy handwavey )
investigated, have been found to be from natural causes.
( or mistakes & lies)
Not "random" occurrences, but they are what the natural laws, naturally end up "falling" into.
😁🌏☮️
“God not real though, derr derr”
When you say "they", I assume you are speaking of theists in general? Or are you saying "they", as in Dinesh D. and Matt D?
There’s absolute zero evidence for god. Even if there’s a god, they don’t care. Pure and absolute neglect.
Dinesh D'souza wrote a great book about Ronald Reagan = How an Ordinary Man became an Extraordinary Leader '
Reagan is our greatest and most successful Christian President .
God bless President Reagan .
God bless Senator Joseph McCarthy .
God bless Connie Francis .
Connie is a brave , courageous , patriotic woman who payed her own way in the late 1960s to travel to Viet Nam in order to entertain and boost the morale of our real American heroes , our American soldiers .
While there , Connie performed the most important concert of all time when she sang God Bless America and 25 thousand soldiers sang along with her .
Conni's concert was more important than Elvis : Aloha From Hawaii and a billion times more important than all of the Beatles' concerts combined !
So Ronald Reagan became a member of Bohemian Grove and participated in it's rituals because he wanted to be a really good Christian. Lmao.
Hitchens respected the potential life but also respected, and advocated for, women to have control of their reproductive systems.
So as a humanist does Matt want everyone poor?
He has to tell his monkeys when to clap😂👍
"Where the Universe came from" is this man's first question? "Where" is a strange question, indeed.
Dinesh really hasn't thought out,
(step by step, to their logical conclusions )
his beliefs & thought processes , has he ?
🤦♀️🌏☮️
all this clowns believers spend countless precious hours arguing aimlessly to end up tangled in fantasia
Science is based on data which has always been based on what we have seen in the past and how that can consistently show us what will happen in the future. So to show that science has failed in the past, even the recent past can not, based on science be a fallacy.
Problem is that the health care in USA is not owned by government. Publicly funded public health care. It's that simple
If society ran on how Matt did his relationships we would live in Mad Max beyond thunder dome.
Dinesh’s healthcare argument is tired and terrible.
Yeah well, was the persons daughter in that restroom?
Morals and Ethics are a social contract that can be failed or interrupted, therefore not a binary delimiter and thus an untrue calculus of a determinate agreement for the basis of communication. I wanted to put "!" but I can't imagine it would read well.
Morals and ethics can be a good basis of communication. Unconsciously choosing to tell the truth, to reply honestly, can be a show of a moral/ethical character.
Matt won all the points am I wrong?
12:55 ... what the everloving does science have to do with anything, at this point in the argument? Holy crap.
Dinesh - we are born without a clear understanding of how we got here or what happens when you die so you gotta believe in god. What?
Accusers remember WHO IS in FRONT of thee? Remember those satellite resting upon my Air? Don't rely to replace WHO? Are all my satellites ye prefer can call God? Keep watch!
🤭😆🤣
I’m an atheist and I don’t agree with what Matt said about marriage. The data being 50/50 divorce rate should not determine your behavior. How other people live should not affect your ability to choose how you want to live.
True
But it should make you realise what the odds are. I mean, I'm a better driver than average, but my car has airbags and I wear a seatbelt.
ppl continue as they should no question...speaking hot salami
It’s seems Dinesh is arguing for the entirety of religion from an abstract point of view. I struggle to know what he actually believes specifically about his religion that got him to a position of belief, usually those are the points argued about and he doesn’t even go there. Weird. I agree with both at times.
Guy believes in greenhouse effect but doesn’t believe the greenhouse gasses we pump into the atmosphere isn’t a problem.
Sounds confused enough to also believe in a sky ghost
Matt, unfortunately, demonstrates a complete ignorance of basic economics.
Dinessh's change the subject every time he sees he is loosing
Logic of ☮️
Basically God was tired of sending messengers and decided to send one final message to humanity!
He chose a person who didn’t know how to read and write!
He decided to deliver the final message for humanity to few people in Mecca as a verbal sermon!
Prophet everyday will tell the humans, God says this and that for 24 years and died of poison!
He never delivered the message as a book to humans!
10 years After his death, followers collected the verses from people memory and scribbled cloth and compiled the holy book!
God didn’t not give read write ability to messenger and messenger never learned to read and write during his life time! Satan delivered many messages by moving the mouth of messenger for seven years and made him pray the daughters of Allah!
When Jewsish people questioned the one God concept then only he realized satan was playing with him!
And God, he dint even know satan was delivering messages to his messenger and adding verses !
Ladies and gentlemen, this is how the important project was executed by the creator of Galaxy and universe!
Could someone write one with bird view for Christianity
i do prefer Matt's jacket to Dinesh's, though that's my own personal bias at play...
Should Time remind?
If we are the "natural" world, what makes other realities, worlds or dimensions not natural?
Another thing, the both of you continue on about the individual and the collective harm that could be implemented on them, but you don't talk about the collective and the harm that collective could impose on another collective or group
Dinesh D'Souza: if the word "flaccid" was a human being.
Who would pay climate deniers?? Like oil industry?? Aren't they rich??
Shared Mouths speaking at the very tip of time! Remember unto all exalted themselves above from Who? Brought forth without form and void! Shared "i" AM come forth! Who am I can't know themselves? Yet, took from my "AM " Holy BLOOD STAINS to give time unto all these soon to be visited!
Hang in there Matt!
I know theres a God because i was having a conversation about BELIEF & KNOWING this morning not the phylodoohy o ly but the frequency of use...
Also i know God becausr i have haf a perso al telationship with jim knowingly for 25 years now reflecting nack for my lifetime since meeting Jesus and receiving the holy spirit be knowing accepting ... ... making the experience beautiful loving merciful gracful and supernatural
Its always. Is there life after death?
Why not, is there life before birth?
Are you suggesting that someone is alive in some form, in some place, before conception?
Almost two hours to accomplish nothing.
Science CANNOT prove or disprove God.
So take your pick, believe or not in God, that's it.
But to believe we all came from nothing, for nothing, die and done, it's stupid.
Everything has a purpose. If we believe there is no purpose besides this life is also stupid.
Matt just believe in data, so if there's a God, how can our puny mind understand/ comprehend Him.
Well, in the end we will find out if there is or not when we die.
35:00 oh, fun. Not only a non-climate-scientist doing climate science, but he's also assuming that climate scientists are all kind of stupid, and bad scientists. I mean, scepticism is fine and good and welcome and all, but pretty much anyone can assume that measuring the temperature of earth is a tad tricky and CAN'T BE DONE BASED ON FIRST PRINCIPLES.
Explain currency, money, nor my elements to be worth valuable?
I grew up Southern Baptist, Dinesh how bout you? 5 minutes later….😴
Dinesh was impressive.
You missed the un
great discussion but the star example annoys me - it doesn't take much belief that something exists multiple times can exist somewhere else in lower and higher numbers ... its an information entropy thing
The best argument for the religious people is that we need a way to deal with the unknown and the unknowable but probably the unknown can now be handled quite well by science and is improving. religion should focus on empirical good base rules and not claim to be the freakin top of the world - and in any case should stop forcing their members in paying them.
Some climate researches apparently managed to be surprised that the plants grow faster now with more greenhouse gases ... stuff like that worries me ^^
Dinesh's argument for capitalism is rather disgusting.
The fact that the wage disparity between hourly cashiers and management and owner is beyond reprehensible.
These are human f'n beings. The large majority of people have no choice but to take those low paying jobs. I just happen to be in the "unskilled labor" of restaurant service. I make decent money at times, but times are getting tough and people can't afford to go out to eat as often.
Develop your skills and stop complaining. If everyone from 3rd world countries complained like you lot, we would be in deep trouble. Take the responsibility to be better and move higher in your career. Stop expecting god, the government, and your friends to help you. That's the harsh reality of life.
Time will say remember all thy shared Feet resting upon the very tip of time! Give Gratitude and Honor unto one another! Yes, there are evil doers as far to massacre, murdering nor aborting my NEW Minds! Students shared "i" AM will say, these Old Minds once came from HERE! Well said! Don't mind these...time knows? The True Owner!
😁😅😂.....🤫🤐
Dylan: Prove there is a God, with science!
Dylan: A male brain can develop a female personality no science needed it's none of your business.
This nullifies anything Matt has to say. He annoys me anyway.
your my hero matt
Brain dead conversation all around. Honestly one of the worst debates I've ever watched
Hope he dosent leave like with andrew😂
are the opinions suffering...? are the opinionaries gaining?
Dinesh never answered the first question.
