I remembered that I had made some simple wooden tongs nearly 40 years ago and thought that it might interest you. In this video I show you how easy they are to make.
Hi Peter We have a couple of similar tongs which were sold many years ago for extracting slices of toast from a toaster. Very useful and, if you do it while the toaster is on, safer than metal tongs.

The piece of wood you cut the wedge from has a matching angle you can use for clamping the pieces together.
Yes, I did do this with my trial one but mislaid the offcut when doing the second. Cheers. Peter

Why not just cut a 3 degree small wedge off that 3foot length!??
