That Prairie Home Companion tape is a cool find. That is a radio show on for years and years since the 70s on NPR. Garrison Keillor was the host until he had some allegations of inappropriate behavior and got the ax. The old episodes are still available to listen to on the www. Probably not ALL the episodes. We always like to listen on long car rides, especially if we're heading up north to Lake Wobegone country. Great finds today!
I would have been all over that necklace too!! I'm so thrilled you notice& appreciate the graphic art on the packaging!! Sometimes, that's almost the most fun!! Not to get you started on new obsessions but you can find some super fun crazy packaging graphics on FIREWORKS!! You have rly opened my eyes to newer vintage Halloween stuff! I used to be kind of snobby about how old they needed to be for me to be interested in them (Biestle etc) but wow some of those flashlights & other stuff you collect are so cool! BTW: I have that exact same giant skeleton with the jewel eyes & its def from the late 80s early 90s - that's when I bought mine! (I was a teenager then LOL!!) So glad I found yr channel!! So much fun & you all are so cute!! 👻🌈🏳️🌈🧡🖤💚💜👻💜💚🖤🧡🏳️🌈🌈👻
My old friend had that skeleton keychain hanging from her rear view mirror, in her old VW bug, in the 90s. She had a shark fin on the roof of her car, too. A lot of shenanigans went on with that car.😂 Laura, you've got H.R. Pufnstuf on your shirt! I loved that show when I was a tiny girl! I need a t-shirt now.😊
Loved your video and all the treasures.... and it's only August!!! Wonder what the next 2 months will bring!!! I love Halloween and Christmas stuff, too. I bought a couple things from Home Goods but my favorite items are old ones. I'm old myself and have given my children several paper mache pumpkins, metal ones that have a whistle nose, metal noise makers. These items are nostalgic for me from my own childhood. I was born in 1947 .... yes 1947!!!!!!!!!!!! I have collected a long time and have gotten paper mache pumpkins, etc for .25 years ago at garage sales. I got a 5' (not sure about exact height)blow mold in her orig box for 1.00 once. I gave her to my son. I don't look for things as much as I use to. Where I live there aren't thrift stores like you have. Only Good Will and no thanks. Thanks for keeping thrifting alive. It's so much fun!
I was worried that you were not going to get that Napco angel with the broken wing. I would have had that in my cart so fast it would have been a blur. The best part about that angel is that it is one of the larger ones that are hard to find and the paint on it looks near perfect which is also not something you rarely see. I think you should add that to your collection since you may never find another one like it, but if you decide to sell it, I will be watching for it! Thanks for another fun video!
Lake Wobegon is a fictional town referred to in The Prairie Home Companion radio show (1974 to 2006) by Garrison Keillor. It was on Public Radio! Kinda a throwback variety show when radio ruled! Music, comedy, storytelling and recurring characters! There were books and even a movie! Love your pumpkin 🎃 adventures!!!
We’ve been to the Oogie Boogie bash at Disneyland a few times!! Lots and lots of fun!!!! Halloween and Christmas are always the most magical times!!!! Love all your treasures!!!!
I have to live vicariously through you two. You find the best stuff. My thrift stores are always a huge disappointment as far as Halloween and Christmas stuff. Another great video!😊
The Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor Horrors is here on TH-cam so you can preview it and keep yours unopened. Prairie Home Companion was a folksy NPR program for years. Fun listen for the Halloween season. Great finds today!
This was a very fun watch love to thrift for neat things, usually go after vintage toys, clothes, music and movies....Just never know what you'll run into ❤❤
I'm not much interested in Halloween items (sorry) but Christmas is another story. Unfortunately, for me my Goodwill goes all out for Halloween and kinda overlooks Christmas goodies these last few years. I asked an employee and she said her boss absolutely LOVES Halloween. That explains a lot. Lol Good luck finding your Halloween treasures, girls 🎃
Me and my boyfriend love your channel!! We’ve been binge watching all your Halloween videos ❤❤❤❤ And we found a pumpkin blow mold in a thrift store that you guys found in a video!!! Your advice on how to find vintage Halloween is very helpful!!!! 😄☺️☺️☺️
Maybe the reason you like those decorations on the stick is because they remind me of puppets we made in elementary school many years ago. They are nostalgic. I liked the headband from Disneyland. It looks like balloons on top from Disneyland.
Yes! Speak it into the universe Disneyland Oogieboogie Bash 2024! The villains out during Halloween is amazing! It’s a sign, the Disney balloon ears are a sign! The universe is saying to do it lol.
Im so excited i just found your channel!! New subbie here! :) I'm a fellow vintage shopper & Halloween lover from Minnesota! I have a little youtube channel also, with all sorts of stuff, but lots of thrifting/antique shopping! Nice to meet you neighbor!
Such great finds! I need to head out to my local thrift store and see if they FINALLY have holiday stuff out…the 3 times I’ve gone…nothin lol…can’t wait for the Whatnot Sale!🧡🖤🎃
Hi this is about another video you found a glass egg that had green bubbles inside I just saw it on another channel and they said White glass globe with green bubble, like things inside their call Belafonte bubbles may have spelled the name of the bubble wrong just interedting❤
I've been thinking about your Halloween play list. I don't know if you can use these without some kind of permission but here goes. The them songs from Bewitched, The Munsters, The Adam's Family, and Good Witch. Popular songs Monster Mash and Thriller. I'm sure there are many more.
The only real thrift store we have left in my small town is Goodwill. 🙄 All the others closed due to Covid. So I hardly ever find cool stuff like you all do.
You guys make my day. I get excited along with you as you thrift 😮😊😍

The blue accents are so incredibly lovely!!

This was a very fun watch love to thrift for neat things, usually go after vintage toys, clothes, music and movies....Just never know what you'll run into ❤❤
The unopened Halloween necklace is amazing!
Garrison Keillor known for the Prairie Home Companion on public radio also grew up Anoka MN which is known as "Halloween Capital of the World".
I enjoy you, finding all those goodies..
the first thing I saw in the display case was that skeleton key chain and I knew Janine was going to get it! Once again, and amazing Haul!
Thank you! Haha yes, I couldn’t resist that keychain!
Tales from Lake Wobegon was a radio show. I remember listening to it in the 80s. It was about an imaginary town in Minnesota and it’s inhabitants.
Lol
Good luck finding your Halloween treasures, girls 🎃
Save the angel!!!! I got a ha!lowest tree at DT. My baby grand daughter said WOW! She loves it lit up.
Y’all got some really cool items.. I found an early 90s pumpkin flashlight and immediately thought of y’all
I found a 3 pack of pumpkin flash lights similar to yours for $2! I was pumped 🎃 I’m not sure how old they are though
The pumpkin necklace was adorable
You could use fimo & nail polish to make a little wing tip for that beautiful little angel💚
Me and my boyfriend love your channel!! We’ve been binge watching all your Halloween videos ❤❤❤❤
And we found a pumpkin blow mold in a thrift store that you guys found in a video!!! Your advice on how to find vintage Halloween is very helpful!!!! 😄☺️☺️☺️

I really enjoy your videos I just started watching you all
Yes! Speak it into the universe Disneyland Oogieboogie Bash 2024! The villains out during Halloween is amazing! It’s a sign, the Disney balloon ears are a sign! The universe is saying to do it lol.
Just go ahead and plan your Disneyland trip 😊. The thrift gods were giving you signs!
Keep the little broken angel it’s so cute👍🏻🎃
Oh broken wing so sad. I collect the spaghetti Christmas and poodles. So common to find broken wings on the angels :(
I’ve heard the Prairie Home Companion on NPR before. It’s like a country radio show. Not my thing. But I’ve never heard the Halloween show.
Im so excited i just found your channel!! New subbie here! :) I'm a fellow vintage shopper & Halloween lover from Minnesota! I have a little youtube channel also, with all sorts of stuff, but lots of thrifting/antique shopping! Nice to meet you neighbor!
You hours need to carry batteries with you!😂
Hahah we really do!
You pronounced Wobegon correctly. Maybe you can find a recording online so you don't have to open the tapes. You two are so fun to watch! ❤
Use a hair dryer to take price tags off
I'm adding whatnot tonight because i want to see what it's all about I'm a Halloween and Christmas fanatic lol as well that's what drawn me to you's
Yay! It’s a lot of fun!!
Such great finds! I need to head out to my local thrift store and see if they FINALLY have holiday stuff out…the 3 times I’ve gone…nothin lol…can’t wait for the Whatnot Sale!🧡🖤🎃
I would have grabbed that turquoise pumpkin near the beginning. We don't get nearly so much Halloween stuff here in the UK.🎃
What did you find out about the plush dog wearing the scarf? I loved him!
Could not find a single thing out about him!!! I tried looking online for like 10 minutes in the thrift! Nothing! 🤔😓
I think I might have to take a trip down to Jersey to check out the Unique thrift stores 😃🎃
Need a 2023 pumpkin patrol pin for a collection I started last year 😉… just sayin’
❤🎃❤🎄❤❤❤

Got a Hallmark skeleton bear with a pumpkin yesterday for 2bocks
