- Do not lose that fly! Local angler James landing yet another two salmon in consecutive casts, in the same spot of the same pool and on the same 'Ness C' conehead that he's been using all season, to great effect. I'm advised that the original pattern was tied by John Sinclair for use at Ness Castle. I can advise anyone intending to fish the Ness in the future that this pattern is definitely an all season performer at Dochfour, especially when it's being wielded by James. Happy days ;))

Nice pair James! Well done! This serves as a confirmation of our previous discussion Cameron, one always fishes the fly one has the most confidence in! Cannot argue with history! Mike
Absolutely spot on Mike, I couldn’t agree more! Thanks once again for your kind words, I really appreciate them.
Superb couple of fish there. Ive seen myself use the same fly for a week on the findhorn and land 7 salmon on it before having to change it. Great video again Cammy.
Cheers Toby, I couldn’t agree more about the fish. If you dress your own flies you can spend a fair bit of time protecting the bodies with varnish etc it really makes a difference to their durability. It also means that you become very reluctant to simply snap a fly off that has become inadvertently lodged in a tree branch, on the opposite side of the river 🤣😂🙈
Thats when you find the limit to how deep you can wade to get it back 😂.
@@Hardlinesangling 😂🤣😆👍🏻
Two fantastic salmon for James. I will have to look this fly up. Although I don't salmon fish now, I will look it up. Was that a third fish that splashed at the side of him while he was playing that second fish. It must have been a shoal of them that came in on the tide don't you think. Well done James.
I couldn’t agree more Brian, two fantastic fish indeed. The fish that splashed up to his right hand side whilst playing the second fish, was actually the second salmon! It initially ran downstream then ran upstream to drown the line, in an attempt to shed the hook. It’s a common tactic with larger salmon and on this occasion it was quite spectacular! As you quite rightly say, I think James was in amongst a shoal of fish at exactly the right time. Every angler’s dream!
Absolutely fantastic once again brilliant 👍 and thanks Tight Line's...

Stunning fish-what a fight from the bigger fish!🎣
Couldn’t agree more Jim and who better to comment than yerself, very reminiscent of that ‘tuna’ you caught last year, slightly farther upstream!
When you realise that James’s rod is a 15’ Partridge and you see the constant bend in it, you suddenly realise what a cracking scrap that fish put up.
Happy memories 🙏❤️👍🏻
Brilliant filming again ,nice fish well done
