The complete story of the 2015 Toronto Blue Jays. From Pre-season to Playoffs. Watch the incredible journey of the 2015 American League East Champions.
We look great this year and have an extremely bright future with a deep prospect pool with nate Pearson and Austin martin the steal of the draft to lead it. If we dont win in the next 5 years i will be surprised
What a magical ride. The entire nation was on the bandwagon. I caught the buzz online near the end of the season. It was very organic, like: "dude, you need to check out the Blue Jays. They're good again."
@setokaiba991 Stroman vs Cueto II. And maybe thats the start Cueto would have locked in and closed it out. I still wanted one more game out of that series.
Man there are so many things from that series. #1 if we had playoff price (from 2018 boston) instead of the normal playoff price, jays would have won the world series without question. #2 ya, that dropped ball really changed that game and probably the series. #3, if jays had of played for the best AL record instead of backing the bus up and laying some of the last games up, they could have had home field advantage POSSIBLY. But ya some of those game 6 vs KC strike calls really dictated those ABs in KCs favor. I mean jays had runners on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and could not even bring the tying run home, and there was Bautista, who was LOCKED IN more than ever, left standing in the on deck circle when he had already accounted for every single jays run/rbi that game. That's what haunts me the most about that series. How they couldn't atleast tie the game in the top of the 9th was tragic.
That was such an amazing ride, I remember flying to Toronto for the first time for a concert and all I could think about was how can I get my hands on Jay's tickets. I've been a fan my whole life and it was the first time in my adult life they were good, so I managed to get tickets to my very first Jay's game and turns out it was the game they won to clinch the wild card spot. I still have my Jose Bautista Jersey from that day and I was ecstatic that he hit a home run and I got to witness it in person. That whole trip is something I will never forget.
Not even a Jays fan, but I miss this team. Russell Martin, Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, Joey Bats, and Edwin Encarnción. Along with Justin Smoak and Kevin Pillar, this Blue Jays offense scored 0.8 runs per game more than the 2nd best team in baseball, while leading the majors in doubles, homers, OBP, SLG, and OPS by wide margins. The pitching, while far from elite, did more than their fair share, finishing 12th in runs allowed/ERA, as well as 7th in WHIP. While Toronto's 93-69 record was good for 2nd in the AL and 5th in all of baseball, Toronto had far and away the best run differential in baseball, at nearly a run and a half per game.
I was so proud of my Toronto Blue Jays last season, although we didn't hit the World Series we had an amazing season.Next season Toronto will have won the World Series
The very first time watching baseball, 7 years ago, 2015-> did watch postseason and then getting eliminated in the ALCS. Also 2016 (I was doing LL baseball at that time), yes I got to witness the defeat of Texas both those years, I was 7 when I watched the blue jays for the first time..
Fantastic video and year for the Jays. After 23 years it was only something a Jays fan could understand. 2022 and we are back finally. Would like to see you make one for this year too
This team played their asses off for us and was the best the Blue Jays ever was, and I grew up in the Delgado era in Toronto, when it was still called the Skydome. I never get sick of seeing this crew pull off highlight after highlight and hearing the thunderous roars of excitement in the stadium. Pillar robbing that homer scaling the 10ft wall, and Bautista firing off 3 run homer, those two moments still give me chills every time I see it.
That 2015 lineup was ultra powerful. Prime elite bombers, Edwin and Jose, with Donaldson, Tulo, Martin, and even Collabello was tearing the ball up that season. U can see who wanted the world the series the most though, Bautista in the final game in KC, 2 huge clutch HRs (not to mention the one to give them the win in the ALDS vs Texas, which he accounted for 4 of the Jays 6 runs that game). But accounted for every run in that KC game. It's sad we will never see that lineup again. but atleast can always watch it here for the memories. What an amazing season, I still can't believe Royals beat them. If Price hadn't fallen apart in game 2, Jays would have won that series I have no doubt.
Edwin was my favorite with that parrot homerun base run was completely epic. They jays were a Force!! Easily could of won a world series and should have.i still love our team now and with a little tweaking and a fired manager i believe if we miss the playoffs this year with the young talent like Davis Schneider and a few veteran guys like Chapman leave. And vladdy bouncing back and Springer doing his thing and Bichette being a beast the future is bright.
Things would have been different if that fan interference call and the balk on wade davis were called, so insane to think that impinge could be the reason we didn’t win the World Series that year
I already did- the ones I remember are, Sing For The Moment - Eminem, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) - Fall Out Boy, Day of Domination (Instrumental) Groove Addicts- Drift
Can't believe the way we went out tho, on that bs call on the "home run" that the fun brought over the fence, the game woulda been 3-3 into extra innings we coulda won but it's whatever
Blue Jays has been this 2016 season with a big crack since David Price left the Blue Jays. Now, in 2016 season, Blue Jays is in a dilemma: Bautista and Encarnacion are free agent in July 2016. So Boston and NY -Yankees are having the advantage to hire these two big sluggers. While the Blue Jays Bullpen is with a big crack, it is unreliable.
That is correct. I used to much copyrighted content so youtube sometimes makes it unavailable for mobile devices but then makes it available a month later and keeps cycling through. Not consistent though.
The Blue Jays without Alan Stopoloko has been a tragedy, a dilemma and unreliable baseball team in this 2016 season. And now, this july -2016 , Bautista and Encarnacion are free agents may be going to NY-Yankees or Boston to boost the business of those cities. Why the Blue Jays new regime does not have interest in these two sluggers.
Blue Jays should have resigned price. Then resigned Edwin. They should trade Tulo and get a left fielder and legit second baseman. They need another good starter too. Gibbons shouldn't have been resigned all mistakes
the ones I remember are, Sing For The Moment - Eminem, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) - Fall Out Boy, Day of Domination (Instrumental) Groove Addicts- Drift
+TheSevenDeadlySins They didn't release Price. He became a free agent. We got him knowing that we would have to let him go, but I would have at least liked for us to fight for him.
We can't afford him but a full season with stroman there won't be much difference now that Tulo is used to Toronto were going to the playoffs for sure price would have been a waste of money to keep on the team because he dosent pitch well in high pressure situations and the Jays are a clutch team so ya
2015 Blue Jays were the days! Take me back
We look great this year and have an extremely bright future with a deep prospect pool with nate Pearson and Austin martin the steal of the draft to lead it. If we dont win in the next 5 years i will be surprised
@@jordanfehr6680 We had three 40 homerun caliber guys in Edwin, Jose, and Josh that year. It was special.
For real!!!❤
What a magical ride. The entire nation was on the bandwagon. I caught the buzz online near the end of the season. It was very organic, like: "dude, you need to check out the Blue Jays. They're good again."
It's sad that most/all of the players traded in this video are gone in 2019.
All of them are gone now
Didn't Smoak get traded this year?
I don't think there's a single player from the 40 man roster that was on the 2015 team
@@EricOverOnYT well I guess there's still luis rivera and pete walker lmao
@@robertmugabe8489 yep
Things couldve been different if Ryan Goins wouldve caught that pop up
@Lone Wolf woulda been different if ben revere didnt get that terrible strike call
@setokaiba991 Stroman vs Cueto II. And maybe thats the start Cueto would have locked in and closed it out. I still wanted one more game out of that series.
@@clintfowler3856 That was karma though for the freak run given to the Rangers.

This was the summer that made baseball cool again for our generation.
All of Canada was in on it

Love some of the things Alex did but that Dickey trade was terrible. Imagine that rotation Happ, Estrada, syndergaard,Sanchez,Stroman
Hindsight really is 20/20. Unfortunately, GMs like any humans don't have that ability.
I was so proud of my Toronto Blue Jays last season, although we didn't hit the World Series we had an amazing season.Next season Toronto will have won the World Series

Whole Toronto Blue Jay squad= Pure Legendary
still one of my favourite videos

I miss this Blue Jays team. This Josh Donaldson was sick
I really wish they were good this season....And I want more Jose Bautista

Cwoolvett100: Back to Back
I was at David Price’s Toronto debut game and the energy was absolutely fucked. I don’t think I’ll ever get to experience hype like that again.
Great vid Mikkel, well done; love your music choices too!

Why did you select to use that music?
the good ol days
What a year
Is Boston city or NY-Yankees the one to boost its business with the acquired two sluggers: Bautista and Encarnacion, on July-2016?
Watch were going to comeback next year I gurantee it
My opinion best team in 2015 years
When our team was actually good and could win in playoffs
The closest we got in in decades.
Great year
This was put together really nicely.
Is it April yet?
lol
its may right now.. hello 2015, how do u do

Oh there will be a story to tell, tjeJays are AMAZING
jays got screwed so hard last year lets hope this year is better

it was a 6 game series with royals not 7 btw

Sad thing was is we would've beat the mets
Blue Jays would not survive the mets pitching
With prime JD, JB, EE, and Tulo for sure we would have beat Mets
That hr by moose was dan interference and god knows how the series what have ended up like

Should of never let Alex go
BlueKsilver he traded Noah we probably would’ve had a better shot against kc if we had him
At least we got too play KC with Alex. Were not getting to playoffs with our joke of a management
And their done

Yeah...because Price was really useful in the playoffs.
He's absolute garbage this year, who needs Price for 30million when you can get Happ for 5million? :D
Down 2 games...
Cwoolvett100 Like that means anything
0:44 ken has not aged well
too bad the jays didn’t win
11:09
If they didn’t play sloppy I couldn’t wait to hear THE BLUE JAYS WIN THE PENNANT Mets weren’t that great imo so that would be a World Series
Get rid of Shapiro and Atkins
bullshit.
12:15... grow up
I 100% agree anthony that Ventura clip was very unnecessary and very emotional
Trade Stroman
Zascorpusa no wtf
Such a gay song to play at 4:19, this team deserved better.
You should be proud to be gay, my guy
